+ -1 more5 stars does not justify the quality of service I received! I called many electrical contractors in the area and found Pinellas County Electric the only one who returned my calls. I spoke with a girl name Sara in the office and the gentleman who came out name was David. He provided me with a quote to upgrade my electrical panel box. They came out when they said they would and billed what was agreed on. I cant thank Pinellas County Electric enough for their hard work. I will recommend them to all of my friends and family.

The team of technicians were prompt and professional. David also came by the day of the service to make sure the work was being performed to his satisfaction and followed up with us after the job was completed. We definitely recommend Pinellas County Electric for any electrical repairs.

Description of Work: Four electrical plates were updated adding 2 GFIs and a dimmer switch. They took down old florescent bulbs and fixtures and replaced with 3 led can lights. The wrong kind of dimmer switch, which didn't work properly, as well as the wrong can light fixtures were installed. Took 3 trips to complete the job. Didn't use any kind of floor cover and although they washed it the dark grout was filled with drywall. The light bulbs put in were not the kind requested. I finally went out and bought the kind of bulbs I had requested. |

+ -1 moreWell, we ended up, thanks to Pinellas County Electric, with our problem solved at no cost to ourselves. When a company passes up an opportunity to make money from a customer (and Dave could so easily just have scheduled a visit to our house which would have cost us money but wouldn't have solved our problem - which was with the electric supply company's equipment, not our house) it's a sure sign that they can be trusted to do honest work at an honest price - and, after all, this is what we all look for - and why we use Angie's List. So I want to give a big, big recommendation to Pinellas County Electric and the wife and I will be using them for any future electric problems we have.
Description of Work: We had a partial failure of the electrics in our house and I called Pinellas County Electric to see if they could come out urgently to assess the situation - I was afraid we had a loose or shorting wire somewhere that might be a fire hazard. Sherry, in the office, answered the telephone immediately and took all of the details of my problem. She said she would get Dave (who schedules visits) to call me. A very short time afterwards Dave did call me and first of all advised me of safety procedures I should take to minimise any risks of fire. He then told me that the type of problem we had was 50% of the time a problem with the electric supply company rather than anything internal to the house. He said he didn't want to cost me the fee for a call-out if it could be avoided so he said he would call the power company on my behalf and would arrange for one of their crews to come out immediately. A few minutes later he called again to say the a crew had been dispatched and he asked me to telephone him after they'd been and let him know what they'd found. If there was still a problem within the house, he'd arrange for an emergency call by his company to be made later that day. As it happened the power company found a wiring problem outside the house and once they'd repaired that, everything in our house was working again perfectly. I called Dave and advised him of the situation and said that we wouldn't now need his company to come out - which was good for us but probably not good for his company's profits. He said not to mind as, in his view, it always benefitted his company to have happy customers who appreciated what his company did.

+ -1 morePinellas County Electric provided electrical service for an HVAC mini split system being installed by another contractor. The price might be on the more expensive side, but you get what you pay for. The result was of high quality and the technicians were professional. As part of my job they even went beyond their scope of work to assist with and execute control wiring installation that the HVAC contractor was supposed to be responsible for. So overall they get an A. I wanted to also mention that Pinellas County Electric was very responsive and accommodating of my schedule. I needed an electrician pretty quickly and they stepped up.

+ 0 moreI'm wrapping a six month long kitchen renovation project in my house and the electrician I had used via my Gen Contractor had 'no showed-no called" on Monday and now, as of Wed., still hasn't returned any of my phone calls. Nice. This left me to scramble to find an electrician in order to prep everything for the plumbers which were scheduled to install items needing power on Wed. I had called about a dozen electrical providers on Monday and couldn't get anyone to show up. I called Pinellas County Electric and Kevin was at Pinellas County Electric was able to work me in on Wed. morning and arrived before the plumbers. Super friendly and competent. Everyone has a Journeyman's license too which is rare these days, it seems. They also took care of other issues that needed to be addressed such as hanging ceiling fixtures and re-wiring two outlets. I am not one to normally even provide reviews due to time constraints, but they really helped me out of a bind and they did a great job for a fair price. I would definitely use them again.

+ 0 moreLet me begin by saying that I am pretty jaded when it comes to hiring "professionals" in Florida. And it isn't just my experience. Everyone I speak to says pretty much the same thing. I came across Pinellas County Electrical through a search on the internet where they had a few good reviews and so I called them to come out and do my work. Let me just say that these guys are a true standout performer. They were thoroughly professional, extremely detail orientated (in terms of making sure the light fixtures were exactly where I wanted them, all at the exact same height and equal distant, etc) meticulous about their work, and most importantly they were very cautious when working inside the house. My floors were just redone and the walls repainted so it was very much appreciated to see this kind of concern. Most trades don't give a crap and couldn't care less about scratching up brand new floors or damaging brand new walls. Trust me I've seen it all. When they were done they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Really a fantastic job.
Description of Work: Various electrical work including pulling wires, installing new pathway light fixtures, adding a new receptacle and a new light switch, and some trouble shooting.
