Oasis Pavers And Pools

Wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. Not sure where to begin… our so called PM allowed his crew to dig a hole hole in our backyard and put the rebar in all while a hurricane was about to hit. We raised our concerns and the PM informed us that he doesn’t pay attention to pending weather conditions. No concrete was poured prior to the storm hitting which would’ve protected our investment, instead we watched as the walls caved in and the hole filled with water and mud which left the rebar with nothing behind it. This incompetence set the project back over a week and the workmanship was sloppy playing catch up. The employees spent a good portion of their day being unproductive and unprofessional. As you can see from one the attached pictures that one of their employees took time out of their day on our dime to play artist and draw a nice flower in the wet cement. Again, we addressed our concerns with the PM and was immediately accused of doing this ourselves. Midway through the project there were days when one their employee’s kids showed up unsupervised to work. The work site was kept a mess with property used as storage. Shortly after the paver deck was completed they had workers show up to clean up a pile of plywood and other lumber which was in the way of our fence being reinstalled. My wife was speaking with one of the workers and he began to argue about completely removing the trash from our property. At this point she broke away from the conversation so I decided shortly thereafter to review our security camera footage to witness the exchange at which point I overheard the gentleman call my wife a B**** as he walked away. There was no effort to smooth the concrete surface prior to applying the pebble tech surface which caused the finally product to turn out with a lump and wavy surface. There is an actually indentation on the sun shelf which was caused by one of their workers walking in wet concrete and again not going back to smooth out the surface. AGIAN, we raised concerns regarding the quality and was actually told that the uneven surface was INDUSTRY STANDARD, which came directly from their QC employee. Towards the end of the project being completed we discovered that their workers had been using our property as a urinal behind the shed. As you can see from the attached pictures the fence was stained yellow. I can keep going and going but I’m done investing any additional time with these people. One of the truly sad parts is that we were never offered an apology nor did any from their company take ownership for any of the mistakes. So in the end if you wanna hire a company that is completely unprofessional, unethical and incompetent then hire them. I’ll leave it at this quote directly from our PM, “we dug a hole in your backyard and filled it with water, what more do you want…”

Everything is looking good that they're doing so far. They have been working hard for us. They're right on schedule and I would recommend them to anyone.

We are extremely satisfied with Oasis Pools and Pavers’ service and the quality of construction! Oasis provided the lowest quote of the four we received, and they also stood out from the rest by providing computer generated models of how the pool would actually look in our space. This model included landscaping to show the final look after I put my gardening skills to work. And it also could add shadows for any time of day so we could see how the sun interacted with the pool location! This model did more than the low price to help us decide to hire Oasis. When investing such a large amount it was so important to us to be able to see the finished product before signing a contract. It really helped us move forward without any reservations. During the planning stage, when I required extra help in deciding which pavers to use, Oasis was extremely patient and very responsive to my needs for more and more paver samples. Brian Godden, the owner of Oasis, even took us to pools he recently built so we could see the finished product. We actually ended up with the very first product recommended by Oasis. And it is beautiful! We are very happy we followed their recommendation. While we really wanted the pool finished for Christmas, my indecision about pavers made that impossible. But they staked the pool on December 12, dug the hole on the 15th, and we were swimming on January 15th! Oasis hired top notch subcontractors who were very professional and great to work with. We were very comfortable with all of them. This is a very important issue. We were also in the middle of a major interior remodel of our 1938 home, and had worked with some contractors who were very unprofessional and with whom we did not feel comfortable in our own home. The quality of construction was excellent. The notoriously critical city inspector said the work at all stages was excellent, some of the best of any contractors inspected! We were also working with this inspector on our remodel, so we knew how big this was. As with any project so large, we had a couple issues which were immediately and very satisfactory resolved. No need to ask twice with Oasis! VERY responsive. The finished product exceeded our expectations. We are extremely satisfied with Oasis and are so happy we hired them. Two of our neighbors have hired them recently as well. We have a beautiful and very functional pool that we enjoy immensely. It fits in very well in our backyard space and looks impressive from the interior of our home, as we required. Some value added features we selected: an umbrella holder and bubbler on the shallow sundeck, and two water jets and a bench on the opposite end of the pool. The steps down are beautifully curved into the sundeck. The umbrella was a life saver over the summer, as we have no shade in our pool. It is extremely important when our granddaughter is enjoying the pool. And she loves the bubbler on the shallow sundeck! I had never seen a sundeck, and we are so thankful we put it in. We made it large enough for two loungers with space to spare. Very happy with our design. Perfect for little ones and dogs as well, and I occasionally lay in the shallow water myself! We have the perfect pool and there is nothing we would change. I credit the experience of Oasis and their careful preplanning for such a great outdoor space that is both functional and beautiful!
