Very well. This was no ordinary order. The lamp was old and they had to research where it was made. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant to work with.
Description of Work: Replaced the switch on a large lamp and repaired the lamp shade. The switch was inexpensive; the fabric lined lamp shade had to be custom re-done since the lamp was one of two identical bedside lamps. Therefore it was more expensive.

I needed a switch replaced for a Tall Torchiere (floor Lamp). I should have been forewarned to the proficiency of this company when he misspelled Torchiere. I dropped off the lamp on July 27 2016 and was told it would be 7 – 10 days before it would be ready for pick-up. It is now Aug. 23 2016 (26 working days later) and the lamp is still not done. I’m leaving in just a few minutes to get the lamp and take to a company who focusses on customer needs and relations and has the capability to fix the lamp in a reasonable time.
Description of Work: "How did it go?" is pretty well established in "What work did you need done?" however I'll add a few suggestions that if put in practice my help Electric Service Co appear to be a more competent establishment. 1. Have the work done in accordance with the time promised. 2. If you see it is not going to complete within the allotted time call the customer and explain. 3. Revise delivery with a new date. 4. Meet the new given date by whatever means possible. Other factors to consider might be the replacement of the management staff for the last 8 years that had already worked at the store for over 20 years and the (evidently) only electrician at your store who has over 40 years’ experience. Maybe it’s time for some new faces in these positions. I hope this review will help Electric Service Co become a more customer friendly operation but until then my hope is that people heed my experience and proceed with caution if they still wish to conduct business with Electric Service Co.

Description of Work: I took a floor lamp to have a two-way switch replaced, and dimmer switch was installed instead. Only after the fact was i informed they did not have the part and didn't think it was even available anymore.

The showroom has a good range of lighting and ceiling fans that were a good match for our taste, needs and pocketbook. Most of the lighting is contemporary and wouldn't fit in our older home but Patty shared several catalogs with items that might fit. She provided helpful advice around use of LED bulbs, etc. during her visit to our house. I was a bit frustrated over the wait for the fans and the light repair; after a few calls, the staff did start calling me with updates.
Description of Work: Visited their showroom to look at fixtures and ceiling fans. Patty, apparently an owner or manager, visited my 1924 house to assess lighting needs (all lighting needs to be replaced and ceiling fans need to be added selectively). I purchased two MinkaAire fans that were quite late in arriving but are well-suited to our application. I also took a couple of old lights in for repair: one could not be repaired by I waited over 2 weeks for that information; the other just required a new plug and was repaired while I waited.

These people are friendly, helpful, know what they are doing and took care of my problem quickly.
Description of Work: I brought in a magnifying lamp that wouldn't work. They spent about 15 minutes testing parts of it and finally sent me to Home Depot to get a $2 part. I replaced the part at home and the lamp works fine.
