I called Quinn for an estimate of packing and moving, as well as just moving us across the bay. Quinn was professional, polite and prompt. His quote was reasonable for the amount of stuff that had to be packed. The crew arrived on time, were personable and did a great job. It took them a little longer than they anticipated and they had to make 2 trips, but they never once complained. All our household items arrived in the shape they were packed, nothing missing or broken. The crew made sure everything was where we wanted and even set up our beds before they left and it was after 9:00 p.m.! Hard working guys for sure. Moving is never fun, but this company made it easy. Thank you!

Tony and his team were fantastic. They showed up on time, kept up a good working pace, packed the truck tightly to maximize the space. They had to go back for a second load, but had a good attitude despite the heat and humidity of August in Florida. They were always polite and friendly. Tony is the utmost professional, and was clearly in control of the situation at all times. He and his team try very hard to please the customer. The contact people, Matt and Quinn, are also responsive and comfortable to communicate with, and I knew we were in good hands from the start of the process (starting getting quotes several movers). Moving is a very stressful situation, and the moving company can make or break the day for sure. This company helped make the day a success, and as pleasant as possible given the situation.
Description of Work: We moved our belongings from one home in Clearwater to another in New Port Richey. This included all furniture and household items, including the outdoor furniture and things kept in the garage.

They were supposed to show up between 2-4, after not hearing from them I called and finally they called me back after 2 messages. They were stuck on another job, but would be a little late.. They showed up at 10 pm...I will say, once they got here, the three guys did a great job, worked hard, and got it done that night by midnight. If it were not for the lateness, review would have been an A. I understand things happen in the moving business, but it was VERY frustrating to wait around until 10 pm to START moving. Overall, very happy with the job they did once they got here. The guys working as hard as they did to get it done is the only reason that I was a happy customer in the end.

I had a 1750 sq ft home that needed a complete pack and move into storage. The company was extremely helpful ahead of time in providing a quote that ended up being spot on when it came time to pay up! The team of 3 arrived on time and were very efficient and professional in their pack and move. I would absolutely use them again and will recommend them to anyone I know who is moving. I NEVER write reviews b/c I simply don't have the time (which is why I needed their help packing) but I am so pleased with this company, the team and their service, I just had to share the experience!

Quinn gave us a quote and said that we would have 2 trucks & 4 movers. Move day, 1 truck 3 movers. The movers said the other truck had broken down. We called the office and left messages but no return calls. No calls after the fact either. We had received many quotes & everyone said with the amount of furniture we had we definitely needed 2 trucks & 4 movers. They arrived at 8 a.m. - it ended up taking 2 trips and they did not leave our new house until MIDNIGHT! Randy was rude, insulting and generally just a very nasty person. We have a stackable washer & dryer and his comment bringing it into the laundry room was "Did Charlie measure this or just wish it would fit". He made several other nasty comments before & after that one. We have dings & scratches on our furniture & on our walls. This is a brand new townhome. They did nothing to take care of our furnishings. They wrapped nothing - they took things out of drawers & crammed them into other areas. Instead of saying that we needed to take linens out of an armoire (which we never had to do before) they just took them and threw them on the floor at our old house. I would not recommend this company to move a coffee cup from the table to the sink, much less a house full of nice furniture.

Recently, I relocated from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale for employment. I needed full service packing, a few items dropped off at a second apartment in Tampa and then the rest moved to Ft Lauderdale. I contacted several different moving companies to provide estimates based upon moving companies that came to mind, including United, Atlas, Mayflower. Each of the companies then forwarded my info to local branches in Tampa, where a representative came out to provide estimates. I found the company Let's Get Moving from Angie's List, based upon all of the positive customer comments. When I contacted LGM, the owner Matt came out to my place and provide the estimate instead of some representative. He provided me with a quote that was reasonable and considerably less expensive than each of the other companies, and told me that the price would not change. Based upon the quote and good feedback, I decided to go ahead with the company. The day of packing went very smooth. The moving team called to let me know they were in route and when they arrived. It only took several hours to pack up one apartment then drive over to the second apartment. Everyone on the team was professional and efficient.The following morning, the moving team called in route to let me know about an hour before they arrived. Everything was then unloaded, and placed where I needed. They finished within 3 hours and again, no problems at all. I would definitely recommend this moving company to anyone, and they made this process easy and without any hassle.

Quinn did our estimate in April. The sale of our home fell through and we waited until we had another contract to sell before moving. . On July 23, I called Quinn to say our buyers wanted a fast close and ask what days were available. His crew was there July 25!! The move was pleasant and relaxed. Nothing was damaged at all. The crew was professional, efficient, and hard working. Ken and Tony and Jeff were terrific. Everything was put back together the way they picked it up and placed it in the room if came from or where we had marked. The truck was packed so efficiently all of our stuff went in the one truck. Moving is difficult, Let's Get Moving made a stressful time much more pleasant. We would use them again any time. It was the best moving experience we've had. Thank you!

We had to reschedule because of a storm. They showed up on time. In general the loading process went well. There were a few pieces of furniture that another guy and I took apart. Once loaded we headed to the new house. Unloading went fast, but they put the furniture back together. I wasn't able to help. Most of the stuff that they put together had to be reassembled after they left because it was wrong - and missing pieces. I had a bookshelf damaged by the wind. I was alright with that - but it also got some significant damage while in the truck. My sectional received some new damages. Overall my complaints would be that, it felt like they stalled at the end in order to make quote. There was also to much damage for my tastes. Also I had to reassemble anything that I paid them to assemble. I felt that they liked to drag stuff to much. There was some superficial marks on the tile that I had to go clean up. They were dragging a mattress that had $100+ mattress cover on it.

My daughter needed a mover ASAP and called another company and they couldn't do it. Contacted this company and was able to fit us in with no problem. She said they did a great job moving from and to each place. She had a bedroom set, entertainment center, clothes, tv's and office furniture and they did an excellent job.Thanks guys you made a young woman very happy.

You did exceptional!! Very impressed and satisfied with the 2 man crew sent out.....very professional, fast and yet efficient.
Description of Work: I found this company on Angie's List and couldn't be happier with our services rendered yesterday. We've used other companies in the past and one common trend we'd notice, is the movers spent a lot of time either trying to strike up small talk with us or askng us to buy our stuff (milking the time) I was quoted 5-5 1/2 hours and they were done in 4 1/2 hours and that was including making a detour to my mother in laws to get our grill and some other items. These 2 guys worked quit and efficienct and took great care of our things. We will definitely use this company again and reffer them to everyone we know. Great job!!!!! Very satisfied!!

They were very good and I would recommend others to use them. They were on time and they came in under their quote. As they placed furniture on the wooden floors they made sure everything had felt pads underneath the legs. They were also nice, polite and courteous.

Not very professional if you ask me.. I don't recommend having your belongings handled this much. Go with a co. where they put it in pods and keep it safe in their warehouse and only handle it twice instead of 4 times.
Description of Work: Long story, but you should read this one. 2 part move beginning 12-18-11 on this date they packed us up on 2 trucks at our request, nice... Most of the movers were nice , we put our brand new belongings in their hands . We were told by Matt , who came out to give us our quote, that they will warranty and replace anything that may get damaged. These guys that packed us up started off in good moods , by the end of the day they were in a hurry and pitching things in boxes not labeled or padded. Did not listen , packed things that were not to be moved. After a long day they drove off with our whole house in 2 trucks and did not give us any paperwork . I was frantic, calling to let them know , hoping in the morning they will deliver to my storage unit . They reassured me it will arrive safely to my destination. And it did, arrive safe, but the guy putting the furniture into the unit was careless and not professional, scratching, denting , breaking things and not telling us of course. Our 4Tvs were not in a box or wrapped just sitting in the floor uncovered, and they were moved on the truck this way. WOW ...... We paid them for the first half of the move and locked the doors. Here is where things get out of hand, on june 13-12 they came loaded the units back onto the trucks and in doing so we found some of our damages, mind you this is all new furniture and decorations. My baby yellow dresser had black stains over the entire top where a blanket was put , footboard as well? A canvas painting was dented in , leg off my leather sofa and black greasy finger marks all over, plants and flowers damaged. Now we get to my new home, finding boxes not labeled was chaos , they scratched walls bringing stuff in and upon opening our Waterford crystal and ceramics I finally lost it....BROKEN!!!!!!!!! These things can't be replaced down at walmart, or the mall, dizzy and faint I started crying and threw a fit.... I knew this would happen... I called Quinn , he listened to me scream and cry, And in my anger , I said I may not pay the bill if all of my stuff was damaged, he told his guys to shut the truck doors and if we didn't settle for cash right then , they would drive off with the rest of our things and for re-delivery there would be an additional fee. That scared me so bad , I accepted, my husband had to go to the bank ,luckily they were open that late , paid the settlement in cash up front, and they finished the job. There were a couple of guys on this move that were kind , and seemed to care. Thanks to them. I really hate that I had to write this review, but when we were shopping for movers we went to Angie's list and trusted we were going be satisfied and happy making a educated decision. But we had bad luck on this one.

Once we left our house in Dunedin, we met Ken and Will at our son's house in Hudson. They placed the furniture where we asked them to. The piano and desks were quite heavy, but being the professionals they are, they did it with ease. After we left Hudson, we met them at our home in the Villages. Will and Ken placed all of our furniture where we wanted it. They also moved the living room sofas three times for me, since I could not decide which angle I liked the best. They were so accommodating. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I have already told my friends what a great move this was. Ken and Will were true professionals and did a great job. I would highly recommend Let's Get Moving to all my family and friends. It was a great experience.
Description of Work: The movers showed up on time and went through the entire house with us to assess what furniture was being moved. It was an unusual move due to the fact we were moving a piano, two desks, with two hutches, a file cabinet, trundle bed and outdoor grill to my son's home in Hudson. The remainder of the furniture was to be delivered to our home in the Villages. Will and Ken loaded the truck so efficiently. I was surprised they were able to load such heavy furniture in such a timely manner. After everything was in the truck, they brought a very heavy bedroom set down from the second floor and placed it in the living room for us. We were donating that to a charity and the charity does not bring furniture down from a two story house.Ken and Will were so accommodating. They were true professionals.

Contacted them via email 3 weeks before move and got an instant response. After a few emails had a quote and confirmation. Movers showed up on time and were very professional. They took everything apart and reassembled when at new place. Movers also completed the job in less time then quoted and saved me a few bucks.

Great movers. We usually move ourselves and decided to spring for an estimate and they offered a great price. They sent a 2-man crew and one truck, which was more than enough. We had packed our belongings but they said we weren't required to pack drawers. I figured they'd remove the drawers and shrink wrap -- no, these guys actually MOVED THE FURNITURE WITH THE DRAWERS IN THEM. Very impressive. They were done in about 4 hours. They didn't run into any walls or scratch anything and were really patient with where I wanted everything to go. Our new house had recently been remodeled and there was brand-new dark wood laminate flooring. The day before, the cable guy had scratched the bejesus out of our living room floor by sliding our TV stand across the floor. So we just asked them to be really careful and they were -- not a scratch in sight. They did accidentally break a large mirror, but were really professional about it and I could tell that they were really upset that it had happened. They offered to replace the mirror glass at their expense with a piece at their shop. This was only a few days ago so I haven't received the fix yet, but I wasn't terribly upset over it anyway. I would definitely hire them again.

They did not wrap my furniture in blankets. They thought that my furniture was too dirty and would ruin their blankets.They told me that if the blankets were actually dirty they would charge my extra to clean them. A lot of furniture is scratched. I have antique furniture with scratches all over them. There is damage to the tops of my drawers because they did not pack them up properly The guy in the truck was supposed to dust my furniture. He insisted that he wasn't suppose to dust the furniture and said that he was just going to do it to be nice. They did not empty out my refrigerator like they said they would. They left a lot of silverware in drawers and in the sink instead of packing them up. They seemed to be a great service provider but I really feel like I was taken advantage of. There was a lot of banter at the end of the day about how hard they worked and they were insinuating a tip. I still have a missing table and some of the boxes were mis-marked. I won't know completely what exactly is missing until everything is unpacked. UPDATED on 8/24/12 Here is the list of missing articles: 3 foot straight edge ruler, axe, step table that was refinished solid mahogany with maple trim, an electric hedge trimmer, and a hand held dust broom. My wallet with credit cards, money, drivers license, social security card, and my V.A. ID card is missing and was last seen when an employee brought it out of the bedroom. I did get my free play radio, but they damaged the handle of it. Updated 3/13/13: The last time we saw our step table was when the mover was carrying it to the front door. He remarked what a beautiful table it was. I told him it is solid Honduras mahogany with lighter maple trim, the legs were solid maple and there are brass on the feet. I refinished the table with a fine hand rub. We have a mate to that table, the only difference being the top is a full table top and not a step top. That table sits in our living room at our new location. When we realized the step table was missing it was suggested by the movers that it probably wound up in the storage room under some boxes and we'd find it when that room is emptied. The table has never been found. We have a wood cabinet which has a glass door on the upper half, filled with various statuettes and memorabilia. The movers packed the items from the cabinet and returned the to the cabinet in our new residence. We had not need to open the glass door for several months after moving. When we finally did open the door we discovered the wood from around the glass of the door is broken and need to be repaired before it gets worse and cannot be fixed. The step table is an antique and cannot be replaced to match the other table. To Moving Co. re Wallet: If you've seen it or have any info about it, it would be helpful if you could help me locate it.

I read the comment you posted on Angie's List and they were very disturbing to me. You called to report your damages 3 weeks after your move was complete. Our paperwork states you have 15 days to report any damages to us after the move was done, and you signed off on that paperwork as well. With everything you stated in your claim, I took this very seriously. We are the company we are today because we take pride in making sure our customers are happy. I wanted to get to the bottom of this and figure out what happened on the day of your move. This would be the biggest claim ever in 9 years of business. After speaking with my guys who were out working that day, they stated you were very happy at the end of the move. Here are a few of the claims you are reporting; 1. Damage to the top of your night stand- your night stand was very old and so was the damage. It was very obvious this was not a recent, fresh scratch-it was discolored and written on. 2. I am not sure what the complaint is about cleaning the furniture. We had to dust all your furniture off before we padded it. We do this so our pads do not get dirty for our next customer. We like to keep our equipment as clean as possible. 3. The men did three walk throughs with you to make sure everything was packed on the truck and ready for drop off. The only thing we did not end up packing was the sink full of dirty dishes, we do not pack those. Its better to have dishes clean and dry so they can be put away which we explained. 4. The big one; You claim we took advantage of you. When I asked how did we take advantage of you, your response was we mislabeled your boxes. Taken advantage of is an awfully strong statement for just mislabeling boxes. The reason we mislabeled the boxes is because you told me it was hard times and you didn't have a lot of money so we offered you free used boxes for your move. We also told you that we would write on the tape since the boxes already had writing on them. Whatever was in your box was written on the tape of the box and not the box itself. I even made a couple trips out to your house so this problem could be resolved. I came to see the damages that you reported. After reviewing the furniture that had damage to it, there were 2 bookshelf's that needed repaired, other then that everything else you reported was old damage that were very noticeable. You and I came to an agreement that I would send my furniture repair man over to fix the damages on the 2 bookshelves. It took my repair man 5 weeks to finally get on your schedule and the first time he came by you refused to let them in. The third trip you finally let them in to work. There was a mis communication as to what needed to be repaired so he ended up repairing all the damages that you had.

The movers arrived on time on the date of move and promptly began moving. They virtually worked non-stop from the start to finish. They were very careful, courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend them.

They were prompt, professional, friendly and helpful. After the bill was settled, an error was discovered in our favor. I was not asked to pay the difference because it was their error. I would definitely recommend Let's Get Moving to anyone.
