Let's Get Moving

They were great at communication trying to get my business but afterward it was like pulling teeth to get a phone call back on the status of our stuff. They were suppose to arrive at 8am on Friday, so I set my alarm for 7:15 so I could nurse my baby and do one last walk through to make sure I had everything set aside that we were going to be taking with us. I wasn't up 5 mins before there was a knock at my door. It was the movers. Now I don't mind them showing up early but a phone call telling me they were going to be early would have been nice. I could have at least changed out of my pajamas. But they were very friendly and effective. They were done by noon but when I asked about a possible delivery date the head guy didn't know and said I'd have to call the office. I was leaving town the same day so I was going to call on Monday. I called Monday just after lunch and spoke to Matt, he said he'd have to call Bob and have him call me with a date. I waiting until almost 4pm before calling again wondering why I hadn't received a call back yet. Matt apologized and again said he'd call Bob to get back to me. He did within 30 mins but said he'd been out of the office all day and would have to call back Tues with a date. Now why Matt who is apparently in the office all day couldn't do this is a mystery. So again it's getting late in the evening on Tues and I'm just about to call them when Matt calls and says my stuff will be delivered that Thurs. GREAT, couldn't be happier, that was the estimate delivery date I was given when I first hired them. Wed rolls around and I get a call from Bob saying that he says that should be getting my stuff next week between Tues and Thurs. Confused I told him I was told I'd be getting it the tomorrow and wanted clarification. Now this was around 4pm on Wed. He said again that he would have to call me back after speaking to the driver. He never called me back that day but at this point I was pretty sure I wasn't getting my stuff the next day. On Thurs I called the office again wanting to know for sure when I could expect my stuff, it was Easter weekend and we were going to drive to my husbands family because they had furniture and a washing machine, but first I wanted to make sure the driver wasn't going to show up on my door step on Friday. AGAIN I was told by Matt that he would have to contact Bob and he would call me back. He actually did call me back this time confirming a Tues-Thurs delivery of next week. And one thing they kept saying was a delivery of the first Thurs would have been a really quick turn around and gave me the impression that it was unrealistic, which annoyed me because if it was so unrealistic why was that the estimate date I was given when they were trying to get my business? I get that to keep their pricing low that they have to ship multiple moves at once to make it cost effective, but I would have appreciated if they had been up front with a how long it was going to take. I would have packed differently, I have a 1 year old son and I was only expecting to wait a 1 week. If I had been told it would take 2, then I could have prepared better and probably taken a trip to Wal-Mart when I first got here to make our lives a little more comfortable. Now obviously I'm hoping for a Tues delivery but the driver didn't contact me until Wed telling me he couldn't deliver until FRIDAY morning! We finally got our things, undamaged. Everything was packed well. My only complaint was the long wait and the lack of communication. I had to wait 6 days before I got a not-so-accurate delivery date. If I was moving in town I would use them in a heartbeat but for a long distance I would probably go with someone else. If you do use them for long distance I'd have them put a "delivery no later than" date in the contract, or just make sure you pack enough stuff for 2-3 weeks

They sent three guys and they were all great. Very nice, very professional. They also showed up on time, called in advance and worked quickly. I would use them again and highly recommend them.

tIt went very well...... the guys were very pleasant, respectful. and just very hard workers......they were also very patient ........ and asked us where we needed to put the pieces of furniture .....

. Overall the move went outstandingly well. I was called 2 days before the move to remind me about the move and answer any questions I may have. 2 hrs before the scheduled time (8 am) on the move day I was called again to say that the crew would be leaving shortly and they arrived promptly at 8 am. The 4 original men were Steve (the foreman), Patrick, Tony, and Shane. Steve introduced me to all the men and kindly reassured me not to worry and to take a deep breath and relax! They started loading the trucks immediately and all worked steadily. After 3 hours Steve realized that the 2 trucks would not be sufficient. He quickly estimated how much a third truck with 2 additional men would add to the total cost. The 3rd truck with Peter and James arrived quickly and within the next 2 hours they had all my stuff loaded. The move and unloading at the storage and the new house took an additional 3 hours for a total time of about 8 hours start to finish. I was very impressed with all the 6 men and how steadily they worked. Shane was one of the hardest working men I have met. I felt that the approx. $2300 I paid for 3 trucks and 6 men was reasonable and fair. I would highly recommend Lets Get Moving to anyone who requires a moving company.

This is a very good moving company. I called beginning of March to make sure I got the moving date I wanted and got an estimate sent to my email. The man who I spoke to, Matt, said that they would get in touch with me the day before the move. He also told me that they would be there at 8AM and call before they came. The day before the move, I called the office to make sure all was set up for the move. This time I spoke to a man named Quinn. He told me that they would be there about noon. Noon???? I was told 8AM and made other appointments accordingly. This messed me up. I had other appointments for the afternoon and also had people rework their schedule to help us unpack. For this reason, I gave them an overall "B". I think they should have called me as soon as they had a conflict, instead of moving me to another time without at least telling me in advance. Quinn was very apologetic, but offered no reason why they screwed up the time. This made me wonder about their reliability. He offered to take $30 off the bill and put an extra man on the morning job so that they would get there ASAP. They actually arrived in the morning, well before noon. Two men. Very polite and professional. Went through the apartment to see what they were moving and starting packing the truck. I commend their neatness and the careful way they handled out belongings. When they got to the house, they unloaded just as carefully, asking where we wanted each piece and recommending placement in tight spaces. They offered to move things around if we were not happy. Everything came through the move in good condition. The lead man kept saying "I'll place it anywhere you like, it's all about you". I wish I remembered their names, but I don't. Neither name is on the bill. The bill was reasonable, 4 1/2 hours and 1 hour fuel-service charge. I would recommend using them as a mover, but I would also make sure that the time promised would be honored.

Arrived on time, introduced themselves and asked a few questions.Quickly started moving my stuff, each guy seem to have a specific job. While one took my furniture apart, another moved stuff out of the house and the third guy loaded the truck. Non stop until they were done. Very polite and professioanl

They were very careful with our belongings. My husband (who is never happy with movers), really felt these guys did a great job.

I requested somebody to come over and give an exact amount of what it would cost to move my mom. She was in a studio size room and moving to East Coast of Florida. I had gotten several quotes from different companies. We were given an exact price and that was with two people moving my mom. The day of the move only one person showed up. I called and talk to the owner and asked him why there was only one person moving my mom when we were told there would be two people moving her. All the companies I talked to, including this company, said they would have two people moving my mom. I explained to the owner that my mom has medical conditions and this is not good for to be stressed out. The owner told me that it was more money to have a second person and he felt that because it was a studio a second person was not needed. I was very upset because he told myself and my mom that the price was for two people moving her. The owner agreed to send a second person over to assist with the move. I thought it was going to be for the entire move. When the second person arrived at the first destination the gentleman was just about done packing up and the second gentlemen went home. My mom did say that the gentleman that moved her was very good and very professional. I am glad that the move went smoothly. I would not use this company again because I thought that we were lied to and cheated money because they only used one person and we paid for two.

Very good service. We did experience an extremely small amount of breakage. Based on the two things (yep, that's it!) that were cracked (which "Let's Get Movinig" reimbursed us for), this was an very uneventful move.

They did an excellent job and I have recommended them to other people. The crew was one of the most professional, polite teams I haveever seen. They were efficient.

Excellent! Guys were prompt, courteous, efficient, helpful, friendly, and patient. Price was reasonable and a value. Couldn't ask for any better.

The movers arrived on time with a friendly smile. Since we live with a roommate, we walked through the house pointing to items that were ours. They remembered what we said and they moved furniture, items, and boxes accordingly. Tony, Don, and Bill were very nice, pleasant, and professional. They worked hard around the clock disassembling the furniture, moving the items to another location, and reassembling the furniture in the new location. We will hire them again when our lease is up.

Team of 3 arrived on time and got the entire job done in one day. Moved most items into storage facility with the exception of living room furniture. The team traveled 1.5 hrs north and did an excellent job loading the storage facility for me. One negative would be that a lot of boxes weren't marked on outside and if they were, they faced them inward toward walls so I can't see what's in them unless I unstack and move around which is impossible to do in a storage facility. The overall move went without issue and the guys were quick, polite, professional and even funny at times. They did not have a tag/numbering system like bigger moving companies I've used so if you need that, ask them for it.

Great. We hadn't moved in almost 28 years, so needless to say, this was a "traumatic" and exhausting experience for us, even though this move was of our choosing. From the beginning, we dealt directly with Matt (one of the owners). He was always professional, knowledgable, polite, courteous, and most responsive in getting back to us, when need be. Our daughter found him on Angie's List (had a great rating), and we called some of his references personally, as well as get several other estimates. Based on the foregoing, we chose him/his company to perform our move. He, and his "team" did a great job of moving us out of our two-story townhouse, into a one-story home. We were so impressed, that we just recently (March) recommended him/his company to friends of ours, who are moving to another state. They are going to use Let's Get Moving also.

The move was fast and efficient. Everything was handled with kid gloves. They hung all the hanging clothes up in the truck. This meant we did not have to take the clothes off the hangers. The move took 2hrs and 45 minutes. We moved from Gulfport to north St Petersburg.

I contacted this company after reading great Angie's list reviews and I am very glad to have done so. I was called with confirmation of the schedule a few days in advance, told precisely what time the movers would arrive and given a very good idea of the costs based on the time it would take to move. Patrick and Tony were very professional and extremely careful with our belongings. They arrived right on time and went straight to work, not wasting any time until the move was done. They were courteous and knowledgeable about proper packing, handling and re-installation of our furniture. I recommend this company and would gladly do business with them in the future.

Our experience was totally professional from the beginning when we met with the owner for a quote. The three man crew showed up promptly, surveyed what needed to be done and quickly got to work. They were experienced, knowledgable and careful. One of the most impressive things was how quickly they worked even though they were being paid by the hour. The move was challenging because of heavy furniture, two flights of stairs, newly painted walls and new hardwood floors. They always asked if there was anything more they could do. We have hired professional movers about 15 times in our life and this was the best.

When we had to move the contents of our 3 bd/2ba house on a week's notice "Let's Get Moving" came to our rescue. Steve, Partrick, and Alan are the "A" team as far as we're concerned. Polite, caring, punctual, and hard-working, these guys showed up ready to get to work. In no time flat, 90% of my house contents were packed, loaded and on their way to our new home. The second load-in went even more quickly. And when they unloaded the final load at our new place, these guys even took the time to put all our clothing (the pieces on hangers) back up into the closets and then they stayed to help me rearrange furniture while I continuously changed my mind about how to use our new floorplan. In short, "Let's Get Moving" took an otherwise stressful day and turned it into a productive, painless experience with their eager-to-please crew. Not only did they move all of our stuff on short notice and without a scratch - they also came in $500 UNDER budget. I only hope I can use them again on our next move!

They did an awesome job. They showed up a little early (which I will never complain about), worked hard from start to finish, and did everything my wife and I asked them to do. I would recommend them to anyone planning to move and I will definitely use them again the next time we move.

I received a phone call in the morning letting me know they were on the way and would arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 AM. When I got to my mother's condo, a couple minutes after 8:00, they were already there. The two movers, Randy and Eddie, were very courteous, hard-working, efficient, and professional. Since not all the furniture was moving to the new place, I explained that I had placed either green or orange labels on the furniture that was moving to indicate whether they were going to the living room or bedroom. Furniture that was to be moved to my house or my brother's was marked with a yellow label. They loaded the truck with items for my brother first, then mine, and then the furniture for my mother. After all the large items were on the truck, they loaded the smaller furniture and the boxes. They also brought about 5 cardboard wardrobe boxes so I could hang my mother's clothes rather than having to pack them. They took great care with all the furniture, including the piano, used lots of pads and straps to secure them and keep them from getting scratched or moving around in the truck. There were 3 pieces of furniture that I believe were made of particle board and I wasn't sure whether they would survived the move, but they were very careful and everything arrived in one piece. When unloading at the ALF, they were very polite and patient with the older residents who sometimes blocked the hallways as they slowly made their way to their destinations. The furniture was moved to the proper rooms based on the colored labels. I had measured all the furniture ahead of time and made up a floor plan (free using floorplanner.com) so had some idea of how much furniture would fit and where I wanted to put it but there was one wall that my mother thought looked too crowded. Randy and Eddie rearranged the furniture for us several times trying to find something that she liked. Ultimately, she decided there was too much furniture so they loaded 2 pieces back on the truck to be delivered to my brother instead. They were very accommodating and never made us feel like this was an inconvenience. Quite the contrary, though I realized they were being paid by the hour, they said they were happy to do it and wanted us to be totally satisfied when they left. The only negative at all was that, after they had left, I did find a few boxes (also color coded) that had been put in the wrong room, but I was so happy with everything else they did that it wouldn't stop me from using them again nor recommending them to anyone else who needed a mover.

This was our first experience using a moving company and we weren't sure what to expect. We were blown away by the team at Let's Get Moving. Steve and Tony are exceptional!! From the moment they arrived, these guys hustled. We had quite a bit of our belongings boxed and furniture wrapped before they came and they carefully and quickly loaded the truck. The furniture we didn't have wrapped was quickly and carefully wrapped with blankets and skrink wrap. At the new house they worked hard to make sure everything was placed just where we wanted it, making adjustments as requested. Thanks Steve and Tony!! You turned a daunting move into a very pleasant experience.

I've moved at least 8 times in my life, experiencing both short and long-distance moves and Let's Get Moving is the best company I've ever dealt with from start to finish. My initial contact was with Matt who was very helpful with quoting the job and promptly responding to all of my emails. The 3-man crew from Let's Get Moving did a terrific job. Steve and his co-workers arrived at 8AM on the dot and were extremely courteous and helpful. They loaded the truck in record time, delivered the furniture and set up a large, heavy bedroom set to our specifications. They even asked us if there was anything else they could move or help us set up while they were there. Both my husband and I were impressed with the service we received and would hire them again without hesitation.

I selected these guys based on their high ratings with Angie's List. Matt handled the email confirmations and always answered the phone (never got a voice mail recording, even on weekends). Tony and George handled the move from north St. Pete to St Pete Beach; loading, transit and unloading was done in under 4 hours. Had a packed 1-bedroom apartment with oversized furniture on a second floor. I had an oversized sofa and a tight door space on the delivery end and asked them to be prepared to cut the legs off so we could replace with casters if necessary. They brought a saw and a confident attitude they would not have to destroy my sofa to move it in. They worked their magic and got it through the door with no problems! I was thrilled!! Time: super efficient; called when en route and showed up 15 mins. early. Care: not a scratch! All boxes handled with care. Never heard moans or groans about weight of items. Disassembled a bed frame and large dining room table. Professionalism: The conversation was pleasant and friendly and always professional. All my special requests and fussiness over care were respected. Cost: I move a lot (at least once a year from town to town) and found the hourly rate was fair, and the time estimated was over what it actually took. Final bill came in $200~ less than estimate. Packing: I packed most boxes. Tony and George wrapped all upholstered items with plastic shrinkwrap and blankets. They brought extra boxes for loose items and packed those up. All in all, a terrific experience and my move was stress-free. Would highly recommend this company.

Extremely happy with this company . Matt handled very professionally the quotes and all the information we needed. the moving team arrived and worked all day with nothing being any trouble for them. Thank you for making our move very easy... would highly recommend .

They were alittle early but finished early which is good. No complaints.
