Let's Get Moving

I was moving from St. Petersburg to Sanford, Florida. I called and was able to make the appt. without any problem. Paul was great at providing me with an estimate ahead of time and the movers showed up on time (7:45 a.m. for a 8:00a.m. appt.). They were both very pleasant, and worked the entire time. I was supposed to follow them after everything had been loaded on the truck but ended up leaving about a half hour-45 minutes after them. Unfortunately, I ran into traffic and ended up reaching an hour and half after the movers had reached. I called Paul in a panic and he was able to help address my concerns. Fortunately, I had a friend able to be available to open up the house at the other end for me. They got everything moved in exactly where I wanted just as I got there and all fragile items made it there intact. The only negative I would say is that they had to take down a door to move my treadmill in, and did not put it back before they left. Other than that, I would say that it definitely helps to be as prepared ahead of time as possible, but Paul and his team made the move as easy as possible and the move ended up costing less than the initial estimate due to their efficiency which was an added bonus.

Exceptional. Thursday (Tampa), the 3 man loading crew packed the three bedroom home with attention to protecting the furniture. Saturday (Vestavia AL), the 2 man crew did an efficient job unloading a full truck. I was moving to a 2 BR Apt and it was a little tight at the front door with an immediate 90 degree turn. The walls and furniture were totally unblemished. These guys know what they are doing.

Best move ever! Communication before the moving day was exceptional. Paul was always quick to reply to my questions. He also called the day before the move to confirm timing, etc. The crew called the next morning twice; once to let us know they were on the way and might be a little early; a second time when they arrived at the apartment building at 8:20 AM (they were 10 minutes ahead of schedule) Could not have asked for a better team of three! They worked quickly and efficiently, but with great care to ensure that nothing was damaged. Long walk to the elevator...about 350 feet, didn't seem to hold them up at all. They arrived at our home (about 11 miles away) in good time and unloaded equally efficiently. Everything arrived undamaged and was quickly re-assembled. They were done and on their way by noon! We've been through many moves over the years; never had one go as smoothly. Would not hesitate to recommend LGM.

Excellent. Very Professional, timely, respectful of my elderly parents, hard workers, worked efficiently and had very good attitudes about handling someone else's property.

They did an excellent job, were on time, loaded and unloaded truck quickly. Very courteous and helpful. One of the best moving experiences we've ever had.

Fantastic moving experience. I'm retired military, so I have been through several moves and this company was definitely the right choice. They were fast yet thorough ensuring floors were not damaged, furniture was properly blanketed and shrink wrapped and careful with loading and unloading. They were very professional throughout the entire process. I highly recommend them.

VERY well. Best move we've ever made. The 3-person crew was extremely professional, and very pleasant during a long, hot day of moving. We were not quite ready with the packing and they helped us finish without complaint. Took good care of all our boxes, furniture, and possessions. They dissassembled our bedframe and put it back together, very professionally. Very knowledgeablel folks. Most professional movers I've ever had. Also, were very helpful and careful in coordinating with me on when to put the cats in their carriers so they didn't get away when the furniture was moved out -- an escaped cat could have ruined the entire move. They came on time, exactly when they said they would, also, and called before they came. Really excellent communicators. . The only thing that could have been done better was the ESTIMATE in terms of both the time it would take to drive to our destination and back, and also to pack our truck and unload it. They don't come out for an in-person estimate for this size of job, which some do, some don't. The company only googled the distance for the trip, and underestimated it. They did not take the time to ask me. When the crew arrived the day of, they did not have a clear idea of the destination, and thought it was an hour and a half closer in distance than it really was! This was the only major downside of the whole day. Travel time is included in the cost of the job, so that makes a difference. Also, how tired the guys will get. They estimated this job at $2400, and it came out to $3,100. Partly because we needed more packing help, day of, but also because of the additional drive time. Also, they sent 3 people, and I think we could have used 4 to do the whole thing more quickly. 4 increases the hourly cost, but it also would decrease the time it would take to move everything on and off the truck, so it is kind of a wash. When you look at the price we paid, be aware of two things -- we donated or threw out most of our furniture -- we did not have sofas or a dining set, and only one bedroom set, and then some desks, bookshelves, etc. A whole house move would cost much more. Also, for a move of our size, I found that no movers go onsite for an estimate any more. We just sent them a list of everything we were moving, and an estimate of our boxes -- that was low on our end. There was one mover that came out to do the estimate, but we did not choose them. Also, most movers no longer drop off or even supply packing materials for smaller jobs. Our guys brought some boxes and tape, but not a lot. So if there is something that is forgotten, or needs re-packing, they are not that well supplied, but in our case, we had enough. I specifically asked for TV boxes, and they did all that. They had plenty of blankets and shrink wrap for the furniture. The price that we wound up paying was somewhat more than the estimate, but for moving, not bad at all, AND much less than the estimate of a comparable company, that would have been probably double the cost, and did not have the same customer service attitude. This company gives you a very good deal on the cost of the truck rental and supplies. And they are just great folks.

This company has great communication, punctuality and do quality work. I've moved several times over the last 20 years and this was the best experience I've ever had!

They were terrific. Courteous and professional. The job was bigger than expected but they handled it well and did everything we asked and more. I highly. Recommend Paul and his crew.

This is the second time I've used Let's Get Moving for short haul moves in St Pete and Tampa. Paul, the office contact who provided scheduling and pricing is very friendly and helpful. Our latest moving crew, Shane and Dennis, were careful and very efficient. The pricing was fair and they do and excellent job. Highly recommended!

Amazing from start to finish. Paul responded to my inquiry promptly and professionally, helping me determine what services and how much time I needed. When we booked the move he collected all the needed info and let me know exactly what to expect. And they delivered! Thompson and Richard called exactly 15 minutes beforehand to let me know they were on the way and arrived right on time. They got right to work and moved everything with the care they would take with their own possessions, even disassembling some pieces for me when needed. And, when they got to the storage unit, they completely rearranged everything to make sure it would all fit. They were nice, friendly, polite and professional. I recommend them without hesitation!

We received excellent service from this company and their staff. We received a call the day before the scheduled move to confirm time. The day of the move, the movers called to let us know their arrival time. Once they arrived, they were efficient, knowledgeable and careful regarding all aspects of the loading/packing the truck process. They took time to not damage our furniture and walls. They assisted me in getting my pets into my car. Dennis and Bill were very professional and thorough. They moved our furniture into our new town home (3 floors) in a timely manner. Again, they took time to pad the railings and not damage the walls or our furniture.

The movers were great. I was not as happy with the office person who was cautioned about protecting the hardwood floors in our new home. Apparently that message was not passed along to the movers, so they had not brought protective materials for the floors. Having said that, the movers were very careful and made sure we were happy every step of the way. They were courteous, professional and responsive. We have rarely had such a good experience with movers, and we have moved many times. I'd hire them again in a minute.

The service was excellent and crew were professional and would do just about anything asked of them. I would use the service again and recommend them to anyone. Pricing was more than fair and was right in the park of the initial quote. 2 Thumps Up!!!

Excellent. Paul explained the process and gave me an estimated time of arrival and estimated time and cost for the move. Scott, Shane, John and Moses arrived promptly and worked non stop and ensured our furniture was protected. They ended up getting the job done in 1.5 less hours than Paul's estimate. Great job!

Still almost three years since my move and the money owed for a broken light fixture has not been paid. Not surprising since the management never offered any refund of money for not completing my move as contracted. The person who provide my quote never came out to see the two properties even after I suggested he should due to some large pieces of furniture that needed to be negotiated down and up tight stair cases. The crew was able to negotiate the large pieces out of the old house but were unable to do so at the new house. Purely a result of management not giving the crew the proper manning to do the job. Management took no responsibility and left leaving two larger pieces of furniture in my garage. Also during the move a light fixture was broken that LGM said they would refund after we replaced it and provided a receipt. They never sent a check for the relatively low priced repair. Management was unresponsive and refused to step up an acknowledge responsibility. The onsite crew did a good job contrary to the performance of management.

Great. Four guys -Quinn, Bill, Tompson, and Robert. Friendly, professional, and easy going. They evaluated the route before making a move, then with a lot of heavy coordinated lifting, carried the piano up the stairs. Perfect. So easy they had time and offered to move other furniture in our house at no charge. The communication with Paul at the office through Angie's list and via telephone was excellent. He responded quickly to all my questions, made suggestions, and guaranteed his men could do the job. He gave me a price range and accepted my request for the low end; it still seemed a little high, but I think pianos always cost more since they are both heavy yet fine instruments, unlike, say a couch. I would use Let's Get Moving again for reliability, courtesy, responsiveness, and overall professional approach.

This was the move that you always hope you will get: courteous and professional movers. From the first contact with Quinn and subsequently with Paul, I was very impressed with their professionalism and willingness to answer all of my tedious questions. Caleb, Mike, and Josh moved us and they were superb. Very careful about our furniture and willing to move pieces till I was satisfied with their location. I highly recommend Let's Get Moving!!! I am a real estate agent, so I see a lot of people moving in and out and across the country. I personally moved within Tampa and frankly, this was the ONLY part of my move that was completely stress-free. I had spent 2 months of renovating my condo, and it seemed like every vendor and contractor needed to be followed up on, nudged etc. From my first contact with Paul over the phone, then his visit and through the moment when they put the last piece of furniture in my new place - my experience was nothing short of AMAZING. I am extremely happy with this moving company. I wasn't feeling well and my husband had to work so I had to do everything alone. These guys made it so easy for me. They were quick, courteous, knew exactly what to do, and wrapped everything up meticulously. Bill was extremely good. He packed the truck and kept everything running smoothly. They had to transport everything up to a 10th floor condo using a shared elevator and they did an incredible job. Upon my every request Bill would say, "No problem." He was so positive. Dennis, Moses, and Joshua were very kind and knew exactly what to do. Some of my pieces were huge and they had no problem. They wrapped up over 21 large pictures and many breakables with no problem at all. Everything was bubble wrapped quickly. I would definitely hire this company again.

We moved from a two bedroom apartment on the third floor, to a two story home last Saturday. Scott, Shane and Josh were wonderful! They were efficient, professional and punctual. They helped us stay motivated and made the whole experience a breeze! I would definitely recommend Let's Get Moving to anyone in need of moving services.
