Prior to purchasing this home, a home inspection was completed and they found the temperature differential was 15.5 degrees - Typically, 16 to 22 degrees is desired for proper cooling. A low split can mean low refrigerant levels and a high split can mean there is restriction in the system. Both symptoms need remedied by an HVAC contractor. In order to close on this house, the previous owner called Jerrys Air Conditioning to have the HVAC serviced. In review of the invoice, the technician serviced 2lbs of refrigerant and completed a diagnostic. I was concerned the technician had to add 2lbs of refrigerant, so I contacted a different company to provide a second opinion. In speaking with a technician, we reviewed the service invoice from Jerrys Air Conditioning Company and he confirmed low refrigerant typically means there is a leak, or leaks. I asked him to perform a diagnostic and his results found a leak in the inside unit and a leak in the outside unit. If Jerrys Air Conditioning performed a diagnostic, the leaks would have been detected and the issue would have been resolved by the previous homeowner. Based on the second opinion, I am being told the leaks cannot be fixed and a new unit is required. Due to a misdiagnosed service by Jerrys Air Conditioning, I am asking Jerrys Air Conditioning to provide a full concession on replacing the HVAC system, as I should not be responsible for replacing the entire unit at my expense. On September 3, 2017 a certified letter (outlining the above information) was mailed to Jerrys Air Conditioning and signed on September 5, 2017. As of today (November 11, 2017), I have not heard back from them. I cannot recommend this company.

Description of Work: Our air conditioning has not worked efficiently in years and it never gets below 80 in our house. We have been told many times by other companies it would cost in excess of $15,000 to fix due to the extensive work that needs to be done (all new duct work, ripping roof off, whole new unit, etc...). Jerry's A/C tech confirmed this to be the case yet again and also fixed our more immediate issue- the entire garage was flooded due to an overflowing A/C unit. It took him about 45 minutes to clear the lines they were so clogged and he then cleaned up the mess created by cleaning the line. He took his time answering all my incessant questions and was very pleasant and professional. I would recommend.

Terriffic! They came through in a pinch and got the work done when I really needed it.
Description of Work: I have used Jerry’s AC for my basic AC and HVAC maintenance issues for the past few years because a friend of mine said they were an honest and a good business. First, over the past two years they have repaired my older central AC unit and tried hard to keep me from having to buy an entire new unit. Being able to spend a few hundred versus thousands of dollars for two years has been great. However, this year, my AC equipment finally quit on me. Jerry’s AC tried to fix it once again but, after 2 days of trying, we realized it was just too far gone. That was not a surprise to me. They gave me an estimate on 2 brands and I asked for estimates on 2 other brands which they got to me within a couple of hours on a Friday afternoon. I selected Carrier equipment and was told they would try to get it for me by Monday but it may take until the next day on Tuesday. I begged them to get it on Monday. I talked to them on Monday afternoon and discovered they had a problem getting the Carrier equipment. The owner of the business even called me late that afternoon and explained the problem. He offered a substitution but I asked them to get a Carrier. By Tuesday afternoon it was determined that Carrier could/would not deliver the necessary equipment in a timely manner. So, late Tuesday afternoon, I opted for the substitution equipment and begged them to get the work completed that day. (I have been without AC for 7 days in Florida in July!) They did it. So, after 7 days I finally have AC again. They told me they would try to get the work done by the end of the day today on Tuesday (it took until 6:00 p.m.) and they did it! Their prices are reasonable and their workers are very professional and competent throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them. They are honest and follow through with their promises.
