I'm so happy we found, I Find Leaks! They responded right away when we reached out and came over that same day! Sonny was so kind, personable and professional. He took his time explaining everything and helped us find a good plumber to fix the leak and saved us a lot of money in the process. Great company and a great group of people! I would highly recommend them!

I called him on Sunday and told him I needed him to find a leak. He is super booked during the week but said he could come on Sunday and he will not charge the extra fee for coming on Sunday. It was not an easy leak to find but he found it.

John did a fantastic job! He checked out the placement of all the sinks and showers in the house. By listening, he determined approximately where the leak was. Then he pressurized the water pipes with air to pinpoint the location. He couldn't use the infrared devices because the leak was very close to my clothes dryer which was still warm from use. He used a listening device to pinpoint the location and spoke with me before drilling into the concrete. Since the leak was in the footer, they had to drill a little away from the wall. Once the leak was found, he cleared a little more to make room for the plumber to repair the leak. He contacted my plumber of choice directly and informed them of the location and nature of the leak. The plumber called me and scheduled the repair.

- on 7/22/2015 I received an invoice from "I Find Leaks" for $809.58 with a red "Past Due" stamped on it.
- I called I Find Leaks & asked why they sent it to me because they were to forward paperwork to my Ins Co In January of this year. - Charles answered the phone & advised me to call my Ins. Co. because the bill is outstanding.
- I called my Ins Co and they did not receive any paperwork from "I Find Leaks".
- I called Charles back & told him what my Ins Co said.  He said one of the people who work w/them must have failed to turn in the paperwork.  He forwarded all of the documents via email to my Ins Co. and a copy to me the same day, 7/22.
- I followed up with my Ins Co and they received the email on 7/22/2015, Posted it on 7/23/201 and Submitted it for review the same day.
- This was an error on "I Find Leaks" part and I understand that.
- BUT - the following week on 7/30/2015 I received a notice in the mail from a collection agency (Transworld Systems Inc.) and was advised to contact them within 30 days regarding the invoice.  Apparently, the day "I Find Leaks" mailed me the past due invoice they also forwarded this to the collection agency.  I couldn't believe it because this was the first time i knew about this.
- I called "I Find Leaks" on 7/30/2015 and asked why they forwarded this to a collection agency when I only found out on 7/22/2015 that it was not paid. Charles told me to pay the bill and it will go away.
- I called the collection agency (Transworld Systems Inc) & explained what happened and they advised me to keep them advised on
my Insurance Company's progress.
- I knew my Ins Co would pay the invoice, that was not the problem.  The problem was with "I Find Leaks" for not forwarding the required paperwork to my Ins Co. back in Jan 2015 and for notifying a Collection Agency the same day they mailed me a past due notice and the disrespectful Charles, the Phone person at "I Find Leaks".
- On 8/4/2015 I called "I Find Leaks", Charles answered the phone. I asked to speak to someone in the billing department and he said he didn't know who that was but he would find out.  Than I asked who the owner was and who his boss was and he would not tell me.  He said he was not the boss but he had a boss and wanted to know what the call was about.  So I told him it was about the past due invoice.  He got upset & said we already discussed this.  He would not let me talk to anyone else and all he was concerned about was what this call was about.  I went on to tell him I would make a complaint about his rudeness and he said "Go Ahead".   I also said I wanted "I Find Leaks" to remove the invoice that they sent to the Collection Agency because it was not my fault that the bill was not paid.  And Charles said "this conversation is over" and hung up on me.
-Because of their error, I had to contact I Find Leaks, my insurance co and the collection agency.  On 8/18/15 I received the check and it was made out to Me and "I Find Leaks".  I signed the check and put it in the mail to "I Find Leaks" the same day.
- So In less than four weeks this was taken care of.
- Today, 8/19/15, I called "I Find Leaks" to advise them that the ck was on the way and they would have to deal with the collection agency.  I will never use "I Find Leaks" again.  Charles, the phone person, was so rude and disrespectful to me.  I wanted to talk with someone else and that was not going to happen.  He must be the "Gate Keeper". I will never, ever do business with them and i will pass my experience  on to others.
- I also filed a complaint with The Better Business Bureau.

I had good luck with them. It wasn’t cheap but it was good. They came out and got the job done. There is a huge reduction in the water bill. Apparently we had a slow leak under the house probably for years. They had a set up that they could come in and find us. Then we fixed it so there was a huge reduction in the bill. They just did good for me. There was a big reduction in the bill once we found it and that was the most important thing for me. They seemed to come and were fairly professional. They found it and even put a seal on it. They don’t actually do the repair but they just find the leaks. I was pretty happy. After a few months the cost for them, we saved on the water bill. They are a little bit pricey but it is worth it. There were a few quirks. They came out and their equipment broke. They had to send another guy out so it took extra time. Those things were fairly minor and it wasn’t anything major. We used them a few years ago and I got the opinion that they actually missed the little leak back then. They fixed one leak back then but there was another little leak that they didn’t get. That cost a huge amount on the water bill. They said at that point the leak was so small that they might not be able to detect it. At least we got the job done. The price seems like a little bit steep for what they did. About 3 years ago I told them to make sure that there isn’t a second leak and they didn’t really take it that seriously. They are pretty good on responsiveness. They told that they could come right out but as a result of the weekend it would cost more money. I told we could wait till Monday and that was my choice.

It took from 10am to about noon for this service to trace the source of our underground water leak and gain access to it under the concrete slab near our front door and patch the leak so we can use our water again.  Before calling this company we called a plumbing company to come out to our residence to find the source of the leak.  Since that plumber did not have the correct equipment to find the leak I ended up spending another $260 for them to drill into the concrete 2 rooms away from the actual leak that IFindLeaks found today.   If you are in a similar situation with a suspected underground leak I recommend calling IFindLeaks first as they will pinpoint where your leak is.  A plumbing outfit without leak detection equipment trying to find an underground leak is similar to a game of russian roulette with your wallet!
The cost was $250 to pinpoint the source of the leak and another $100 to open access to the leaking pipe under the concrete and apply a patch to the leak.   This was $350 well spent versus the $260 I spent yesterday with the plumbing outfit whose guesswork attempt at finding the leak accomplished nothing.   Call IFindLeaks first!

Great Experience! They came out, looked for the leak, found it, explained the leak was in the footer and that we may not be able to fix it, but would have to bypass it. After discussing the type of piping I had, and discussing my options, I decided to have him jackhammer into the slab next to the footer to see if we could find the supply line to the house. This way I could re-route the pipe from there and install a new pipe to the waterheater to bypass the leak in located in the footer. After jackhammering, he found the pipe, and lucky for us, the leak was located just under the footer in a bend to the supply line! Woot!  Anyway, the person who came out, I think his name was Robert, was very nice and very patient while explaining my options as I am not well versed in these types of things.  He was able to tell me about the type of pipes  I had, and even some construction history on why pipes were laid like this to help me understand. He called to let me know he was on the way, arrived during the slot scheduled, and was only there for maybe an hour or so!! I would highly recommend this company and this service. :-) Thank you so much for your help! I will be calling you again if I ever need a service like this again!

My August home water usage was huge! The outside meter showed that water was flowing to the house, yet there was no usage inside. I closed the house shutoff valve and suspected an inside leak, though I saw or heard no evidence.
I contacted  I Find Leaks and spoke with Charles Cassino. Their technician, Danny Rubulcava, arrived promptly the next morning and located the leaking copper pipe inside the concrete block wall of the garage. He broke through the wall at exactly the location of the leak and temporarily stopped the leak. Danny then cleaned up and removed the debris. His performance was very professional at all times.
Both Charles and Danny were extremely helpful, and I thank them for their help. I would not hesitate to use their services again (but hope that won't be necessary).
I highly recommend the  I Find Leaks firm for detecting the location of hard-to-find water leaks.

If we cannot perform the exact service you are looking for, we do our best to try and refer you to an honest and ethical company whom we have experience with. We also feel that it is a conflict of interest to both test for mold as well as remove it. Consumers should protect themselves nowadays and always ensure a different company comes in to test for mold after having it removed. This will ensure the mold removal company has done their job. We had a massive leak somewhere under the slab that initially left us with a flooded master bathroom, and at a very bad time -- coinciding with the death of a loved one. Dave called before arriving, and was right on time; in fact he even beat us to the work site by several minutes.
The leak was difficult to pinpoint and the slab thick and dense; it required 4-5 hours of jackhammering and hand-digging, but Dave continued tirelessly until he isolated the trouble spot and applied a temporary fix. At our urging, he took maybe two five-minute rest breaks before carrying on with the work.
The site of the leak is now readily accessible for a plumber, leaving only small piece of slab, four floor tiles, and a small drywall patch to be repaired. If we'd simply called a general plumber, I suspect the tearout would have been far more extensive.
Good work!

I was very grateful that he didn't charge a fee for the visit, and that he didn't need to pull off the entire wall just to confirm why I was having the problem.  He recommended I contact the A/C company.
Response from I Find Leaks LLC

"Dear Member, Our job is to provide outstanding customer service, even if that means not charging for the job. Since your water leak was relatively easy for us to diagnose, we decided not to charge you a dime. Water leaks can be very deceiving and just because the water is showing up somewhere doesn't necessarily mean that that is where the water leak is. In your case, it's great news that no damage had to occur to your home in order for the water leak to be repaired. AC systems in Florida have a tendency to have clogged drains on a regular basis due to the algae that can grow inside of them. Regular maintenance sometimes as simple as pouring a cap full of bleach into your AC pan can relieve serious issues such as water damage or mold down the road. Response from I Find Leaks LLC

"Dear Member, We absolutely understand how underground water leaks also known as slab leaks can cause anxiety! Not knowing where potentially thousands of water is going if it's running through your water meter can be a huge cause of worry for Florida homeowners. Thank you for choosing I Find Leaks to locate your water leak and install a temporary patch on the pipe to stop the leaking water until a licensed plumber could come to your St. Petersburg property in order to fix the water leak. We hope you never have another issue with a hidden water leak, but if you do, we are always a phone call away. We had a water leak after the meter in our yard so we would be billed, by the water company, for the leaking water .  Water was pooling around the water meter and 10-20 feet away on our sidewalk.  Water was flowing up through cracks in the sidewalk 10 feet or so away from the water meter.  The souce of the leak was not obvious but probably between the meter and the point under the sidewalk where the water was flowing.  Based on Angie's List, I identified several companies that could correct the problem and asked her to contact them to fix the leak.  "I Find Leaks" arrived first and found the leak at the meter very quickly.  I was a bit surprised that they didn't fix the leak considering that their web site seems to imply that they offer more than just leak finding services, but the company name "I Find Leaks" isn't misleading.  My wife also called a plumber, before "I Find Leaks" arrived who was able to fix the leak.  Although the cost seems high for only finding the leak, the alternative could have been ripping up the sidewalk and digging around in my yard to find the source of the leak and the associated time and costs of not pinpointing the leak without damage to my yard.
Response from I Find Leaks LLC

"Dear Member, Thank you for taking the time to post your experience with our company on Angie's list for other Angie's list members to read. We offer many other services in addition to water leak detection, except for plumbing repair services. Our goal is to simply find and pinpoint the exact location of the leak using our infrared and / or ultrasonic equipment. By pinpointing the location of the water leak, our goal is to save Tampa Bay homeowners time and money by not having to tear things apart searching for the water leak. We are happy we were able to identify the source of your water leak with minimal destruction to your property. The technician that came out to our home, I forgot his name, was very professional and courteous.  It was very clear he was experienced and confident in the task at hand.  Within a very short period of time, he pinpointed the exact location of the leak and also confirmed it was the only leak.  He was not able to repair the leak, since they are a detection service, but that was OK because we have a great plumber - Aaron at Tayler Made.
We would highly recommend I Find a Leak to anyone who finds themselves in the same predicament.
Response from I Find Leaks LLC

"Dear Member, Water leaks underneath the concrete slab of your home (slab leaks) can be very frustrating to deal with. On many of the jobs we perform, there is no evidence of the water leak, only a high water bill. We are happy we were able to pinpoint the location of your water leak for you under your concrete slab. It is important to use the latest technology on the market today to ensure accurate pinpointing of water leaks underneath concrete. Thank you for choosing our company to find your hidden water leak for you. We hope you never have another issue with leaking plumbing pipes, but we are here for you in case you do. I was concerned about a sewage smell coming into our bathroom and had been investigating it on my own for a few weeks. I was at a loss about where it was coming from. The technician did a thorough inspection around the tub and toilet and determined that wasn't the problem. He used the smoke machine and saw tiny holes in an old cast iron pipe we have under our house. Since they just find the problem they don't try to upsell or make any unnecessary recommendations.
Response from I Find Leaks LLC

"Dear Member, Sewer gas escaping from pipes in your home can be a very frustrating problem to deal with, especially if you are unsure where the source of the problem lies. We are happy we were able to determine the source of the problem with our sewer gas smoke test method. By pinpointing the exact location of the problem, we try and save home owners money by not having to tear up unnecessary parts of their home. We work with many plumbing companies in the Tampa Bay area so we can assure that our only job is to find the source of the problem, and not try and sell you costly repairs that may not be necessary. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our company for other Angie's list members to view. Sincerely, The I Find Leaks Team"
