+ -1 moreJames was the home inspector that performed the inspection on the home we were purchasing. James arrived on time, stayed about 4 hours to perform the inspection and was very professional. He went over the results with us after the inspection was completed and gave us a copy of the inspection. While he did uncover some issues that needed attention with the home, he did overlook several items that were very apparent to us after we purchased the home. All 3 of the bathrooms have sinks that leak around the faucets badly; the lights on the fans in the master bedroom and 2 other bedrooms all had lights that were non-functioning. These were all items that were not pointed out on the inspection report, but were very obvious. The refrigerator was also leaking water from the water/ice access area on the front of the refrigerator which was not detected. The areas that James did point out, we were able to get repaired prior to purchasing the home.

+ -1 moreVery pleased withy Jim's service and report. I had a bump that occured during the close processes of the house. A few days before close the empty home was broke into by a random homeless man. I was concern about damage that could have been caused by the intrusion before we closed. I called Jim and he was more than happy to return to the home and walk thru with for sigs of any damages that might have been created. He did this without additional change and this was a big help putting our minds at ease during the buying process. Use this contractor with confidence.
Description of Work: Jim was hired as a home inspector prior to the purchase of our home. He inspected the home structure, foundation and quility of building. His report was very through and photos ample. His report was turned around to us very quickly and I being a realtor was satisified with his findings. Jim also knows when not to comment and we had brought in three other specialists, Marine Construction Contractor, Electrical Contractor and plumbing contractor. Jim was very comfortable in having input from these other professionals and incorportated their comments into his report. Based on the fact that my purchase was a forclosure I felt it necessary to bring in these other professionals and have all 4 people at the same appointment so they could share their knowledge. If this were a "regular" transaction I might not have as many profrssions present and rely on Jim's experience. The price that was agreed upon was Jim's fee only, this amount was his charge alone. I did have to cover the expense for the other professionals and I feel for my purchase it was justified.
