Great Scott’s Window Service

It did not go, they never called to give an estimate.

Scott called me back promptly and came over late that Friday afternoon. He took about 5 minutes to identify the problem in a window that wouldn't close and fixed it for us immediately without charging for his time . I truly appreciated his promptness and professionalism. The window needs a major repair, and we will definitely call him when we decide to get that done.

I have hired Scott previously and had excellent results. When I called and said the house was to be inspected in a day or two he called back within a few hours and we set up an appointment for that day and arrived on time after calling just before the appointment time as arranged. I knew he would do a great job. He arrived on time, cheerful and polite, ready to work. The job was a challenge because the window frame had probably been forced open in a break in long ago and had been screwed shut as a result. He worked very hard and eventually did the impossible and now all three panes close. He tested out all the windows in the house and replaced screws when needed. I am grateful that he is in business, doing a great service to our community.

All the other estimates that we received were very high because they wanted to give us new hurricane-rated windows. Great Scott’s Window Service was available for the job. I saw him on another job close by. He asked me to give him a call - he just had plenty of time to do the work. He had no problem getting here. He gave us a quick estimate and didn’t try to tell us that he couldn’t do it unless it was hurricane-grade. He told me that it was new glass and I went ahead with him. It was about $120 to replace one pane which I thought was very good. We had a special issue. I have a chalet-style roof which has some funny tarpaper going on, and he said that that was not a problem at all. I have recommended him to my mother. I would use him in the future, if necessary.

He figured out the problem very quickly. I could fix it, but it kept malfunctioning. He was able to determine that I had used the wrong part to repair it. He was able to notice this, find the right part, and fix it quickly. He was very clean cut, nice young man. His price was competitive.
