He guaranteed no cracks would reappear for 7 years and there are already coming back less than a month later. He also guaranteed he could eliminate standing water areas, and in fact he has made it worse than ever with an additional 20 areas that now have standing water. He made two holes in our siding as well as got concrete everywhere and never came back after bringing these complaints to his attention.

Response from Florida Concrete Creations
We received a call from her to do an estimate for decorative concrete application on her pool deck. She was provided with samples and color charts and decided on a slate pattern in a slate color. When we arrived to begin the job, she informed us of a few of low spots on her pool deck where water stands after raining. We explained to her that the estimate/contract she was given was only for a decorative pattern, not to float out low spots on her pool deck, but that we would be happy to give her an additional estimate to correct those spots before applying the overlay. She said she did not want to spend any additional money and asked why we could not do it for free. We explained to her that the overlay we use is only applied 1/16th of an inch, only thick enough to cover imperfections and hold color. If we were to float the pool deck, we would have to use an entirely different material to cover the low spots and then proceed with the decorative process. She still said she did not want to pay the extra money to address the standing water. This also brings the issue of new areas of standing water. An overlay of 1/16th inch could not create new areas of standing water. It is merely a skim coat to give the stain something to bond to. She is being very dishonest. There are also no cracks. We went back to her pool deck after she called, which we did respond to, unlike her complaint says. We told her that her contract did not include addressing structural problems with her deck like standing water. It also says nothing about a 7 year guarantee on cracks. No one can guarantee cement won’t crack. I am including a copy of her estimate/contract to Angie's List to show that we did not agree to repair her low spots, nor offer any other things she said we offered. I’ve never seen a decorative concrete company completely resurface and then apply a decorative finish for $2500. That is obviously a price for the decorative concrete process only, not to float out her pool deck also. That would have been an additional $1.25 sq. ft. Also, her dishonesty is very apparent in her complaint. We left no holes in her siding or concrete everywhere. When we are done with a job, the customer does a walkthrough and then makes final payment. I know if someone did that to my home, I would not have issued final payment until it was repaired. In fact, she was very happy with the finished product. We use nothing to put a hole in siding. We apply the overlay with a plastic trowel and the stain and sealer is sprayed on with a plastic pump sprayer. Also, she gave us an F in all categories. How funny she gives an F in price. Why would she have hired us? She also said several times during the job how hard we work and professional we are. Now it’s an F. I’m sure even if a customer is not happy with a product; they are at least satisfied with something, especially if they paid in full afterwards, unless they are being dishonest. One more indication of the type of customer they are, when they gave the final check to my husband, her husband tried to short us $500. My husband had to go back and asked why he would do that. He said he was holding $500 just to make sure he likes it. She yelled at him to pay the money and that he was being ridiculous, which he finally did. I would sure like to go to the doctor and hold back $500 just to make sure I felt better, or buy a new appliance and hold back $500 to make sure I like it first. They are dishonest and not the type of customers we usually work with. I sure wish there was a publication where contractors can publish the names of bad customers. I have spoken with my attorney and am under his instruction regarding how to handle this. Carey Cameron-Owner/President
