We shopped around extensively for tile for our new home. We had several contractors visiting the house to measure/quote AND visited every single flooring store in St. Petersburg to price out material and installation separately. After all of that, Chris at Floor Covering International was able to provide the tile we chose at the best price and was the lowest bidder on installation. When the company you had the best feeling about comes in as the lowest cost, it can feel too good to be true! I researched Floor Covering International, read all the reviews for Chris and felt more comfortable with who they were and that they would do an excellent job. Chris had initially won us over with his attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond--he gave us advice on things we could do ourselves to save money, and presented different options to be sure we were as informed about the project as we could be. He visited the house multiple times and let us stop by his shop frequently as we selected tile, floorboards, and scheduled installation. As our renovation of our home progressed, we found a major problem when old tile was removed to reveal 150 sf of what we thought was concrete slab was wood built up from an old driveway as part of an addition. All of the sudden, we had a 150 sf hole in the middle of our house, with Chris scheduled to start tile in two weeks! I reached out to Chris and he generously provided his advice when he wasn't even working on our floors yet. He wanted us to have the home we hoped for, so he spent extra time visiting the house to see the issue, then even met with us the morning we had concrete poured to fill the hole--he wanted to be here (at 7AM, I might add), so that he could be sure it was done right for us. There was no reason Chris had to do that and we were honestly surprised he was willing to be so helpful with a concrete pour by another contractor--but it's this attention to detail that really gives Floor Coverings International the best customer service. Finally, the concrete was poured and it was time to start laying tile. Unfortunately, even with Chris' visit to direct the concrete pour and our specific instructions, the concrete wasn't perfectly level. Chris and his team spent 5 days, rented multiple grinders, and refused to rush anything because he knew if this concrete wasn't leveled, we would never be happy with our floors. I began to get concerned with our timeline because we had to move in. I shared my concern with Chris at a time when he was already overwhelmed by the additional work it was taking at our house and how that could affect their future schedule. I was a bit frantic but Chris was cool and calm, rallied up the crew, and made it happen. In the end, the floors and baseboards are incredible beautiful and we've gotten great compliments from friends. We know we would not have ended up with the same quality or finished product had we gone with someone else. Chris helped us every step of the way and was available any time; he put up with me when I was frantic about our move! It was a great experience and we'd recommend Chris and Floor Coverings International to anyone who wants top of the line customer service, the professionalism of a general contractor, and still the best pricing on materials and installation.

Scheduled appointment for Chris to come out; however, Chris did not show up for 11:00 am appointment. I called his office a couple of times and was informed that he was aware of the appointment. Chris called after 5:00 pm to advised that he did not receive appointment and wanted to reschedule. We rescheduled for the following day. Chris came out; however, he was confused about what to do. We explained floors were damaged due to water intrusion. We need to know if flooring could be removed in damaged areas and new flooring applied or does entire floor need to be replaced and determine the cost. He said new flooring could be added where damaged, but it wouldn't look right. We then asked if the recommendation would be to replace and he said yes. He did not appear to be knowledgeable about different type of wood flooring. Chris proceeded to measure our home and said he would email an estimate. A few weeks went by, so we called to find out where estimate is. Chris never called back or provided an estimate. Our home is 3,900 sq. feet. Obviously, we will not be using this company to replace our floors due to poor service and lack of knowledge.

It was fantastic. They were punctual. They got the project done in a timely manner. They were easy to work with. They use good contractors. It went pretty smooth. It took them 16 days to complete the project.

They did such a great job with my first bathroom that I had them do my second. They are very professional, they know what they are talking about, and they have fantastic ideas. It was perfect.

The pros that came in to do the install were great! Very professional, friendly, andcleaned up after themselves. We really enjoyed having them there. The final product looks great and completely changed the whole look of our home!

The provider was able to assist in getting someone to do a tear out and reconstruction of current counter tops and backsplash. Our representatives from Floor Coverings International were always available for advise and follow through and assisted in final design. Their concerns for our convenience and approval was always followed up . A daily check of progress was always there and confirmed clean up after every job was done to our satisfaction. They provided help with picking out best color coordination and design to our final approval. Though remodel of an older condo can present some problems with everything being squared up and electrical was updated Floor Coverings International worked with people that were very competent in completing the job. The final result "BEAUTIFUL"

I met Lee at their showroom initially to get ideas on tile for the shower walls and floor. After we picked out a few things that I liked, she brought many samples to the condo to help with the final decision. Her ideas and suggestions were a big help! We chose a porcelain tile for the walls, a listello border that pulled in the colors from the granite on the countertops, and a river rock floor that totally rocks! They started the tear-out of the old tile on schedule (actually, they were ready to start it a day earlier, and I asked to postpone it a day, and I'm sure it put them off schedule, but they were happy to accommodate my request.) Lee and Chris were both there on day one to oversee the tear-out and make sure everything was going as planned, and Lee frequently came by as the project progressed. They also coordinated with the plumber who came in right after the tear-out to start his part of the job. The tile layers began after that, and I am very pleased with the quality of their work. The shower is on the 3rd floor of a walk-up condo and they had to do the cutting of the tile on the first floor patio, so there was a lot of stair-climbing. They also made a special effort to make sure my cats didn't get outside by closing both sets of doors behind them after every trip up and down. They cleaned up their work space every day when they were done. We ended up running a little short on tile, so it took a little longer than originally planned as we waited for the extra tile to come in, but they stayed on top of it and communicated with me several times to let me know the status. The short delay was not a big deal, especially since their customer service excelled in dealing with the delay. The finished product is just beautiful. I am especially happy with the river rock floor. It's just stunning! The price was fair, the quality of the work was excellent, the customer service was excellent, and I would recommend them to others.

We dealt with Lee Rohner, the owner of the company. She was very professional and stayed on top of the project everyday until the job was completed. We had a plumbing issue - that was not detected until the tile was removed - Lee helped us resolve the issue, which was above and beyond her responsibility. This of course delayed the job by about a week. Lee rescheduled her contractors and got the job done as soon as the plumbing issue was resolved. Flooring Coverings International has a wide variety of tile and floorings to choose from. Lee brought samples to our Condo and help us decide what to choose. We are extremely satisfied with Floor Coverings International. We love our new bathroom. We would highly recommend them without any hesitation.

WONDERFUL, THEY DID MORE THAN EXPECTED AND I WAS VERY PLEASED. THEIR ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND RESPECT FOR OUR PROPERTY WAS IMPECCABLE. LEE AND CHRIS WERE VERY RESPONSIVE TO ALL OUR NEEDS AND PERSONALLY OVERSAW EVERY DETAIL. THE INSTALLERS WORKED VERY HARD AND LONG HOURS TO GET THE JOB DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED.
