Very well. They were very thorough, knowledgeable, and did a quality job. The service was definitely worth the money and we'd re-hire them every few years to keep the ducts clean!

Cleve Bothwell came to my condo to check my a/c unit for mold. He was extremely professional and spent a lot of time explaining things to me about my air conditioning unit and mold in general. He told me that I did not have a mold problem and also taught me many tips on how to prevent mold, how to take care of my a/c unit, when to change filters, etc. When it was time to leave, I didn't even have to pay him. I took his card and told him that I would definitely refer his company to people in the future. I am very impressed with his honesty and helpfulness.

I had a great experience with this company today. Cleve called to let me know he'd be 5 minutes late...very apologetic and courteous when he arrived. Told me I don't need my ducts cleaned (huge relief) and took the time to explain why. He then proceeded to fix my vent cover in my bathroom and would accept no payment/tip for this. He's been with the company 30 years and knows his stuff. Amazing customer service!

The estimator gave a very thorough and clear explanation of what my system looked like and what they could do to clean it. Many companies I talked to were not interested in a home visit, just quoted me a price per number of grills. I have to say the estimator sold me on the professionalism of the company and gave me confidence that the work would be done completely and we scheduled an appointment for March 8. The 2 man crew showed up on time at 9 and did the job as expected. They worked non stop until 3:30 and really cleaned out mu ducts workin from the inside of the house and in the attic. I observed the clean up at all stages and they did exactly what the estimator said they would do. DuctZ is not the cheapest provider but they are professional and I am happy with the service. I would use them again without calling anyone else,

I contacted Ductz because I had a mildew smell coming from my central air system. Cleve came out for a complimentary consultation and was able to assess the issue, recommend a solution, and quote me on the same day. After I followed up with the owner, Ken, I was able to contract and schedule service in less than a week. Cleve and Ken are both honest guys who tell it like it is, and make it clear that they care about their work and their customers. Ken sent in a three-person team to complete the work, all of whom were courteous and professional. Over the course of six and a half hours, they completely cleaned, disinfected, and coated my air ducts, making sure that minimal debris made it into the home; debris that did get through was caught by large cloths placed carefully under the vents. Additionally, they patched up any leaks in the system and cleaned out my dryer vent. I?m now breathing fresh, clean air, with the peace of mind that Ken and his employees stand by their work. I?d recommend them to anyone, and would absolutely work with them again.

We recently purchased a home and the building inspector told/showed us that the a/c coils were dirty. I had used Ductz for our previous home and felt comfortable that I would get an honest answer. Cleve arrived promptly at 1pm as scheduled. He inspected the coils, the fan, vents and the ductwork in the attic. The only issue he found was with the coils, everything else was good. He told me that we just needed an a/c repair company to clean the coils and not his services at this time. I would hire these guys without question should I need their services.

Ductz sent out a technician, who looked in all of the vents, closely inspected the handler and condenser units, and even got up in the rafters of the recessed ceiling to check out the ducts. Apparently, the A/C units weren't the only messed up parts... we needed an entirely new system of ductwork, and at least one more return vent installed. Apparently, at some point, two duct systems were shoddily rigged together, and the result was that air flow never made it to most of the house, but then it was super frozen in the tiny area that did receive all the air that was being pumped out. I don't really understand all the details. Anyway, it was a FAR bigger job than anything Ductz dealt with, since they specialize in just cleaning ducts. And the tehcnician said right off the bat that he could clean the ducts, but it wouldn't really solve any of our issues. So he took a ton of pictures, and later emailed the pictures, along with a report that detailed all of the system issues. And it didn't cost a dime, since the inspection and estimate was a free service! This company really does believe in honesty and integrity... and going the extra mile to help, even if no profit is involved. I will absolutely recommend them to anyone who ever needs duct cleaning, and once we have a new system installed, I will be sure to hire them in the future whenever I am in the market for cleaning services. They are reliable, don't charge extra, and do what they say they are going to do. The same person has come out. It's very nice to see that.

I never received the written quote or photo's but I called and told them that he had verbally quoted $900. per unit and told me it would take 2 days so could we schedule someone immediately because I have had respiratory problems for quite a while and need this stuff gone. They said they would honor the verbal quote but couldn't schedule me for 3 weeks. Just knowing there was mold blowing out of my vents on my face every night made me a little anxious. My husband called after a week and begged them to try and get out earlier. They managed to find someone for the following week for 2 days work. The crew of 2 arrived on time at 9am. The inspector apparently was needed to tell them what to do so they waited til 10 to start the work. They were finished at 12:30-1. I asked why it was so quick when I was told each unit would take 7 hours and this only took 2.5-3 hours. They said they don't take breaks and that was why it was so quick. I was puzzled! The same 2 came the next day 1 hour late at 10 and again finished at 12:30 but stayed another hour waiting for Cleeve to check their work. While we waited they mentioned a UVlight system that they could sell to me and install for about $1300. per unit that would stop dust and "organic material" from forming. They said if I purchased it right now it would be a bit cheaper. I went in my house and called my AC people to see if they had a similar product and they quoted me under $100. to install it. Not sure what the deal is with all this but I have a bad feeling about the whole company now. Cleeve did finally arrive, went in the attic and said everything had been done and he just guessed the ducts were smaller than he realized( and he does this job everyday all day)...... He then said he took photo's of their work and would send me before and after photo's but he never did. SURPRISE!!!! He also said he would alter the price because it was less than half the quoted time. He said the original price was $2000. which he had never mentioned previously nor sent me a written quote at any time and now he was giving me a great deal:$1400. I argued a bit and my husband said "just pay it!" My house still smells of mold.. This whole thing stinks to me!

We had never had the ducts cleaned in the 11 years since we bought our home (new in 2002). Just felt that cleaning of the ducts would be required. We change the AC filters every few months, but felt that it may be time to get all the ducts and the air handler professionally cleaned. Called Ductz. Phone answered by a human being immediately (pleasant, cheerful voice I might add). Scheduled an appointment for 9:00 am two days later. Technician (Cleve I think was his name) arrives 5 minutes early (how often does that happen?). Asks a number of questions and then explains what he is going to do. Opens out both air handlers, does his inspection, takes pictures with his digital camera. Half an hour later he gives us his assessment. The ducts are mildly dusty but don't really need to be cleaned! He said we could spend $1,000 to get them cleaned if we wanted to but they didn't need to be. Wow! This is why they are so highly rated in Angie's list. Btw, no charge at all! Kudos to Ductz!

I used Ductz last year to clear the dryer vent in my home with the coupon on Angie's List. I called them again this year and even though I don't see a coupon, I got the same deal! Blair arrived a few minutes early and got right to work. Even with the rain he was done in about 15 minutes. Very professional. Will use this company again next year.

Once they were able to come, very well. Sick technician on our scheduled day and no one to fill in. Has to reschedule after taking the day off of work. Very professional and did quality work.

The owner came out and gave us an estimate. We decided on a date and time. The date was 3/14/2014 they were supposed to come at 8 AM. We got a call that they would not make it the original person was sick. We said OK come the next day. They called back and asked if we would mind them to get to the house by 2 that Friday. We did not mind. They did not show up till 3:30 pm. We were told it would take about 3-4 hours. it only took 1 hour and a half. The only reason it took a half hour longer was because they did not connect the wires to the AC properly. They did not put all the vents up properly. Not a big deal we can do that ourselves. When you pay almost $700.00 you expect a bit more. Not even sure everything was done the correct way since we were told it would take a lot longer than it really did.

We have just moved into a condo about a month ago and in the absence of not knowing the last time the ducts and air handler were cleaned prior to us moving in (the property had been vacant for some time) we decided to get someone in to take a look at the system and recommend any work that might be needed. So we called Ductz based on prior Angie's List recommendations - boy, are we glad we did! From the get-go, Cleve from Ductz was polite, informative and honest, taking time to explain everything he was looking at in our ducts and air handler. He even offered us hints and tips on things to look out for which we weren't even aware of - thank you Cleve! To cut a long story short, Cleve informed us that we didn't need Ductz services as our ducts and air handler were in good shape. He advised us that we should have our air handler regularly cleaned to prevent mold issues; we will most certainly do this and will call Ductz as our one stop shop! It is refreshing in this day and age to receive honest, free, "no strings attached" advice from commercial service providers and not be talked into paying for a service you don't actually need - this is how good customer-provider relationships are formed and our first impression of Ductz was nothing less than glowing. On this occasion we didn't require your services but we will most certainly be coming to you for ANY work relating to our air conditioning / duct system in future. A+ recommendation!

Initial guy that quoted job was punctual and friendly. Gave me a clear recommendation and a very fair price. Booked the job to be done the week later. Guys I came to do the worker on time and also friendly, laid down sheets and we're very neat and tidy. I had a duct that you needed to be completely replaced which was done quickly and for a fair price. Then ducts were painted white and also boxes were painted. Overall a great service.
