We are trying to install granite for our outdoor kitchen. The customer service at this place is TERRIBLE. We called throughout the day to speak to someone. No one answered the phone. When I went to the showroom, no one acknowledged my presence. They stare down at their desk the entire time. Even standing in front of them they didn't acknowledge my presence!
Description of Work: They did not provide anything. Every time I have gone to the showroom no one acknowledges you're there.

I am VERY HAPPY with the integrity, workmanship, customer service, and overall experience with Depot Granite and will be going to them for future projects. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for stone counter/bar tops. The people are very informed, honest, and take great pride in their work. I am, however, very dissatisfied with my experience at Mont Krest. If you use Depot Granite, I recommend using a different supplier. We went to many places with measurements taken of our bar to find out what, exactly, we wanted as a bar top to finish off a back yard renovation. Depot Granite was the only one to provide us with a list of their providers to view what inventory was available since they did not have what we wanted at their site. We went to Mont Krest for the stone selection and ABSOLUTELY fell in love with a slab called rainforest leather. It was the last slab of the lot and we would even get a last slab discount because of that. Francy, at Mont Krest, helped us to ensure that the piece would fit according to our measurements. The only problem is that no one, throughout the entire process, asked us if we had accounted for any overhang or lip. This was the first time we had tackled a project like this and did not know anything more than the raw measurements of our bar. When Javier from Depot Granite showed up to create the template he asked me about the lip and overhang and then we quickly realized that there would not be enough material from the slab that we wanted.... We later had this confirmed at Depot Granite when we went to pick the cuts from the templates. My wife and I had to wait until another weekend to go to Mont Krest to pick out (2) more slabs at the urging of Milly. When we went there we were told by Francy that the two lots would blend and we wouldn't notice any difference. We requested to see a few slabs and were told by the gentleman at Mont Krest that they did not have anyone available to move slabs on the weekends and were told to come back during the week. He said that the material has an 80% breakage rate and that they would only sell the top slabs. I asked them their hours and was told 9am-6pm (I believe). I showed up at 4:30 on Monday afternoon and that same guy met me at the door. He told me to go to the back and that he would meet me there. I waited there for at least 10 minutes until I went back to the front to get him. I then met the owner who got him there within 2 minutes. He used the crane to operate and move the material (3 slabs). When I asked him why he was able to move it then and wasn't the other day (because I detest people who make me waste my time) he told me that it was because Francy said I was a pain in the a**. I paused and questioned, "So, I'm a pain in the a**" at which point the owner stepped in and said he has a wierd sense of humor. HORRRRRRRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! He then did not want to send 2 slabs to Depot Granite. I had to call Milly, who assured them that they would cut a PO for both slabs and told me that we assuredly wanted two from the same lot in case they did not match well on the template. She said that they would have no problem selling the other slab that was not used as the material is beautiful and wouldn't sit long. When we went to create the template, the gentleman who helped us create it was a true artist. Milly was right though... We could not use the original slab that we fell in love with. We needed to use two from the same lot. The gentleman in the back (I forget his name, but he is Milly's dad) was a great help and was quite informative. We picked the layout and scheduled a date for install. When the installers showed up they had misplaced the placement of a hole for a beer tap to penetrate the soapstone. We were able to make it work though. They also had the main piece in two pieces because it cracked (please remember that I repeatedly heard throughout the entire process how fragile this stone is). I told Antonio that I would not accept it and he assured me that I would not be able to tell where it was once he was done with it. I told him that my wife would be home later that night and I would have her look for it. If she finds it then I will send the stone back. Needless to say... we still have the stone. He did a FANTASTIC job! We did have one disagreement in which two of the stones were adjoined and created a flat surface where they were supposed to create a lip. I did not accept that and told Antonio that it was not what Javier and I discussed. He called Javier and Javier was honest and confirmed. They took the stone back, made the corrections, and came back the next day to finish the install. They even stayed a little longer to wait out a light shower so that they could set the epoxy. The people in any company make or break that company. That is what, exactly, makes Depot Granite! Their attention to detail, craftmanship, and integrity are second to none.

I was referred to Depot Granite by a friend. From my first visit through the installation, this company was extremely helpful and professional. I walked in on the first day to look around, they were overwhelmed with customers, yet they gave each one acknowledgement and juggled us all very well and respectfully. They have a large selection of granite at competitive prices. I left with a few samples to test in my kitchen. We scheduled for them to come out and measure my kitchen for the quote. The representative arrived precisely on time, and was very thorough in his measurement. Explained where he thought they may have to put joints and a few other issues unique to my kitchen. I had Corian tops and then an island and raised counter with a very unique pebbled granite. I only wanted to remove the Corian , so my new granite needed to coordinate with the existing granite. Maria and Mily were fantastic at helping with the selection. The staff was patient and creative in helping me layout exactly what part of the slab would go where in the Kitchen. They were able to fabricate and install in under a week. I cannot say enough good things about this company. I highly recommend using them!

I found them on Angie's list after getting an estimate from another person. The price was lower. They were very friendly and informative about what they could do. The office staff was able to pick up our granite and emailed the picture of it to confirm it was the piece we wanted. I was able to do a lot of set up with them on the phone while I was at work. They provided a sink free of charge and came out to do the measurements. The day of installation they were right on time and the young men were very nice and cleaned up after themselves. Very good experience.

I had gone to about eight different places before I went to Depot Granite, Marble and Tile. Everyplace I went to, they were very hazy about seams. I didn't find anybody besides Depot Granite who would say I wouldn't need a seam. They knew what they were talking about and did a very good custom job for me. It was a difficult job and there were some mistakes made. I tried to get one fixed but wasn't able to get together with them again to get it fixed. There were some caulking issues, but they did a good job with other things. Everything works fine. They were always in a big, huge hurry and worked like furious the whole time. I have mixed emotions about the work overall. They did a real good job about most things and they didn't make us have seams in our new countertops.

I was told 11 - 1 for template appointment on a saturday on the phone, they came at 4, I wasted my whole day off waiting. Were an hour late for install. The company did not return phone calls at all, I had to keep calling and calling to get answers or responses. Although I paid 1/2 up front before the templete appointment, they mistakenly charged the FULL amount instead of just the balance due. Took a few days to straighten that out. They offered free vanity as a speciality if you buy kitchen counter tops on their website, but by the time they added in all there fees it came to 250. which initially they said they would give me a good deal for ALL the trouble I had with them. However it is Cheaper to buy a precut granite at lowes and install myself. So I did not see a Deal for my trouble there. The ONLY redeeming factor is all the installers although late were very nice. And my granite is AWESOME now that it is done.

I am more than pleased with the friendly service and professionalism from Depot Granite. They spent a lot of time and effort making my special circumstances work. There was more than enough granite in our kitchen to reuse in the rental property. Depot Granite spent a lot of time designing how the old granite would be cut to fit in the rental kitchen. There were also concerns about being able to remove the old granite without it cracking or breaking up. They took extra care with the removal resulting in no breaks or cracking. They had to make two trips to the rental property for the template as the cabinets installation was not completed in time. There was no charge for the extra trip even though the rental property is about 40 miles away. In my residence the old granite was installed on the window ledge with the window molding on top of it. They had to chip out the old granite and then install the new. I cannot even tell that another granite had been on the window ledge. Due to delays on the cabinet install on the rental property kitchen we were out of the country during the measuring and installation. This caused some anxiety on my part, but everything was completed without a hitch. I could not be more pleased with the quality of work. The granite in the rental property looks brand new. The new granite in my residence kitchen looks amazing also. Thank you Depot Granite

From the minute I walked into the showroom at Depot Granite, I knew that they would be my choice if I chose to go with granite counter tops. Luis Rodriquez was very friendly and helpful without being pushy or overbearing. Luis told me as we walked through the lot looking at beautiful pieces of granite that I would know which one was mine as soon as I saw it. For my initial visit I was still undecided as to which product I would use for the counter tops. After doing some research and pricing other products, I firmly decided on granite. When I returned, I went into the lot and immediately saw the granite I wanted - just as Luis had told me. Everyone at this organization is very helpful and professional, from Millie who patiently went over the choices for edging and backsplash as she worked up the estimate to the guys that came out to install the countertops. If you need granite, make sure you stop at Depot Granite and take a look at their beautiful showroom.

Did I mention their fantastic prices? We could not have afforded our dream kitchen with out them. Long story short, after going through a major remodel Depot Granite, Marble and Tile would be on my short list of people to highly recommend.
Description of Work: Ours was a large installation, and very tricky in many respects. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of the granite, the craftsmanship of the installation, and the wonderful customer service of both the sales and the installation teams. Everyone showed up right on time, made sure they cleaned as they worked, and left their work areas cleaner than when they arrived.
