Dean installed approx 600sf composite deck over a new flat roof. Job was done quickly without any hiccups. A powder-coated aluminum railing was also ordered, and installed two weeks later upon completion from the fabricator. Very happy working with Dean, and would definitely recommend.

The overall experience has been great so far!! I will post more once the job has been completed.
Description of Work: Dean is working with us to create our ULTIMATE outdoor space. He was recommended to us by a Local Designer. Dean met with us and got us a quote within several days. Turns out we needed to get a new sea wall before starting our project and Dean recommended a company and they are starting the end of July so we had to put off our remodel until that was done. We are in constant contact with each other and he has been there every step of the way to let us know what we can expect. I can't wait to post the finished project!!

Very good. Only slight delay secondary to glass maker order had to be redone.
Description of Work: Removed old second floor deck, replaced roofing under it. Installed composite material decking and glass railing.

We never worked for Member, in fact we never met with him. He called , In 2002 (10 years ago) and wanted a quote for a 8' x 10' deck, which was too small of a job for us, and we politely told him so. Description of Work: It cost me $11,000 for a terrible job in building my decks and docks with unprofessional workers, leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. I did NOT get them from Angie's List.

Response from Collins Construction
These comments are baseless. Our company only removed the original decking and replaced it with composite materials. The decks were originally built in 1982, so they were 18 years old at the time we re-decked them. Collins Construction recommended that the deck frames also be replaced but the customer made the decision not to. The client's expectations were that the decks would look like a newly built deck, when all of the original framing was visible and the existing settling couldn't be corrected without replacing the deck frame, which was beyond the contractors control. We still have the satisfactory completed form (and pictures of the completed job), which the client signed, at the completion of the job. We will make these available to any interested parties upon request. Angiie's list agreed to take this report down in 2001 but never did, in their struggle to be relevant perhaps. Please rely on more recent report to get an accurate impression of our company. Thanks, Dean Collins President Collins Construction.
