Clear Tech Pools

Very good. My pool tech/cleaner Curtis always does an amazing job with the pool. My dogs absolutely love him! I have the monthly service which is very affordable.The company is good about sending a service tech out if you are having a pool issue, they will call you with an estimate if repairs or service is needed. I definitely would recommend them!

For the first year they had good people who were responsive and effective. In the past two years things were not taken care of properly! As a matter of fact their people acted in a manner that destroyed our equipment. For a year, one of their maintenance techs did not monitor our salt system but instead weekly added chlorine, as a result destroying our salt system. They were telling us that a system could go bad in under 3 years and that we needed to replace it. When I called about our pool turning green they were responsive but never and I do mean never fixed it, instead they added chlorine and delayed addressing the issue until the system was no longer under warranty. They never wanted to fix it under warranty. We found out after the fact that the system did have a three year warranty.

Started the drain and clean quickly, which was supposed to include an acid wash to fight black algae (not a visible or known problem at the time of the service). No less than 6 phone calls to the company in order to get them to finish the job. Original drain and clean guy drained, but didn't clean anything out before setting it to refill. Still a couple of inches of crud on the bottom! Had to have the chemical guy clean that out. I had to follow up on every single part of the process since no one was scheduling anything (drain guy said chem guy would be out, but when I called 3 days later to find out, Clear Tech had no record of anything scheduled). Numerous calls and conversations to get the chem's taken care of. I ended up cancelling estimates for additional work simply because I don't have the time to manage the job myself and continuously follow up to get the next step of the project scheduled.After the pain of all of that, I have had 2 other independent companies out to quote other work who have said that I should have the pool acid-washed. After I then tell them that it was supposed to have just been done, they make it obvious that they are pretty sure it wasn't even done.2 WEEKS LATER I GOT BLACK ALGAE! Clear Tech let me know it was not their problem and that there was no guarantee of any kind on their work. Just like when I had to call to get someone to finish their job, they seem to think it is the customer's fault when they call.All said and done, I don't think they did the acid wash, they only came out and drained my pool. I had to complain to get them to come out and clean it!Terrible company with no communication, internal or external. Never again.

They are doing a very good job, and I am very happy with them and their service. They are very professional, punctual, and do everything that needs to be done. They price is reasonable. They come when they are supposed to, and are good at what they do. I didn't have much luck with other pool services in the area, but I am very happy with Clear Tech Pools!

Project manager (Al Cowan) very helpful in design phase and assisting in scope of work. Project manager visited site numerous times throughout the whole scope of work. Kept in contact and we always knew what to expect and when. When unexpected problem was detected the project manager had a qualified craftsman that could make needed repair. This did not disrupt the schedule and everything remained on time and within quoted price. The workers knew their craft and worked hard. They were polite and always cleaned up the work site. We use Clear Tech to perform the weekly pool service. The technician has always provided good service. This is the reason we asked Clear Tech for a quote on the project. We found their price to be very competitive and Clear Tech provided us with a detailed outline of the scope of work and time frame. The project was finished on time and within budget. We found the personnel to be very professional. We were very pleased with the end result and it exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend Clear Tech.

I had previously used Priceless Pool Service and was very unhappy with it so changed to Clear Tech last March and am very happy with them.

Clear Tech is one of the most professional, accommodating and responsive businesses we have ever dealt with. They have serviced our pool equipment for more than 8 years and we couldn't be more satisfied. When one of the repairmen noted that our backyard was flooded and we needed further repairs, I called and spoke with either Joy or May Jo and explained that the water at the back of our lot is actually Tampa Bay and that nothing had flooded and we didn't need any further attention. She immediately corrected the report, cancelled the request for an electrician who was to be followed by another repairman and apologized for the error. Further, she sent the original repairman who had diagnosed the problem to inspect their work and make sure it had been done correctly. There was no charge for his visit. Clear Tech hauls away any equipment (like sand filters) that they replace for no charge. Be sure to check with your contractor - most charge $50+. Clear Tech requests that new customers pay the charges after the repairs are made and they accept all major credit cards except American Express. They will bill established customers. They are wonderful to work with.

They are generally reliable and keep the pool chemically balanced. When I do have problems with pool equipment, they have always been successful with troubleshooting those problems.

I have been using them for a couple years and they are great. They always come when they say they will and if I need anything extra they will come right out. If there are things I am forgetting to do they will leave reminders.

It looks beautiful! I love the small stones. It looks like a tropical paradise. I'd use this company again. I want to tile our pool deck and would definitely use this company.

I am most pleased with them. I had little holes in the filter and they fixed it. I am happy with their price. They pin pointed the problem and fixed it.

We have been using Clear Tech for about 2 years now at the basic service level. Our pool has been sparkly clear ever since. Our service person (Vlad) never misses, and even drops off a note if his schedule changes due to a holiday. Some weeks he is only here for ten minutes or so, but since we have had no problems with the pool (which used to be a constant pain in the rear) it seems he knows what he is doing. Some of the improvement is probably also due to the fact that we installed a Polaris pool cleaner, but the two in tandem have really made life a lot easier.

They are very professional. They do very good work. They are very respectful of the house. They have to go through the house to get to the pool and they keep their feet clean and clean up all their messes.

They did a great job and everyone was very nice. They all worked quickly and well. They had a series of unfortunate things happen (deaths in families of employees, etc...), but they were able to finish the job to our satisfaction. They are coming back out to work on our pool deck at a later time. They were easy to have around and were very polite. They were courteous and respected our home. There was a little bit of clean up that I thought they would take care of, but we did and it wasnt much to worry about.

Service is good and Dave did a good job explaining the workings of pump and filters. Had a bit of a rough start with maintenance work due to not being on a set day but pool stays looking good. Now all is settled to consistent day. Glad I hired them to take care of the pool.

We had very good service for the first 9 months. Then our "normal" service person, George, left the company. Since then our experience has been horrible. There has been at least 5 different people, but none consistently showing up to do the service for over 4 months. Some weeks the person spends less than 4 minutes at the pool and often do not even clean the basket. Have gone sometimes over a month with no vacuum service. I have called the company four times to complain to the service manager. Each time I was promised "red tag" service where a supervisor comes out to check the situation. Nice talk, but no improvement in service. Service has continued to be awful. Not enough space here to completely describe the dozens of frustrations with this service. Cant really explain why I put up with this bad service so long. Have now cancelled the service.

They began skipping cleanings, saying they were doing things they clearly hadn't done. Tey assesed our pump and said we needed to replace it, but then never called back or got any replacement scheduled.

They were not licensed to do electrical work and the job did not pass city inspection. It was a horrible job. They had to install the skimmer three times because they couldn't get it right. The light only worked for one day, and then tripped all of the breakers. The auto-refill has not worked properly yet. They did a good job with the steps and with the marcited pool. It has taken them a very long time to respond to problems.

I would not have anyone else service my pool. They service it every week.

GREAT SERVICE. VERY COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL STAFF. NO COMPLAINTS.

OVERALL THE COMPANY WAS A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. THE CRACK REPAIR AND LEAK TESTING WERE A BIT OVER PRICED FOR WHAT THEY DELIVERED, THE STARTUP PACKAGE WHICH INCLUDED BRUSHING TO EXPOSE THE AGGREGATE AND BALANCING THE POOL WATER FOR THE FIRST 5 DAYS WAS WORTH THE MONEY. AT FIRST GLANCE THE NEW SURFACE LOOKS GOOD AND STREAKS/UNEVEN DISTRIBUTION OF AGGREGATE PARTICLES ARE SUPPOSED TO DISAPPEAR WITH FURTHER BRUSHING. THAT NEEDS TO BE SEEN. A POOL THEY'VE DONE FOR A NEIGHBOR CAME OUT LOOKING GOOD. THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO REPORTED MATERIAL SPILLS AND CAME OUT TWICE TO ADDRESS THEM.

THIS IS A SHAME, I HAVE BEEN USING THIS COMPANY FOR REPAIRS ETC, EVERY SINCE I BUILT MY POOL. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEM BEFORE THIS. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT I WASN'T VALUED ENOUGH AS A CUSTOMER TO BE CALLED BACK OR APOLOGIZED TO. IT WAS AS THOUGH I HAD TO BEG THEM TO TAKE MY BUSINESS. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THE WAY I WAS TREATED.

MY EXPERIENCES DIVIDE INTO 2 PORTIONS. MY WEEKLY POOL SERVICE IS SUPERB. FOR $55 A MONTH, THEY CLEAN MY POOL AND CHECK THE CHEMICALS. EVEN MORE IMPORTANT, MY POOL TECHNICIAN SPOTS PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY BECOME MAJOR AND LEAVES ME NOTES LETTING ME KNOW THE ISSUE. THEN THE COMPANY FOLLOWS UP WITH A PHONE CALL ALERTING ME TO THE PROBLEM. THE REPAIRS ARE MADE AND THE COST IS REASONABLE. MY ONLY CONCERN IS THAT IT SOMETIMES TAKES SEVERAL PHONE CALLS FROM ME TO FOLLOW UP ON THE REPAIR WORK TO MAKE SURE IT GETS DONE.

THE GUY DID AN OKAY JOB OF CLEANING THE SPA, I GUESS, ALTHOUGH I'M NOT SURE HE CHECKED ANYTHING BUT THE CHLORINE. BUT HE MADE SOME VERY INAPPROPRIATE, SUGGESTIVE COMMENTS. I THEREFORE DISCONTINUED THE SERVICE.
