I was looking for a waterfront home in the Tampa Bay area for over two years and had worked with several realtors in the area. I was leery after having dozens of bad experiences with other realtors and my trust in realtors was very low. However, after meeting and speaking with Bonnie Strickland of REMAX Metro in St Petersburg at an open house she was hosting, I realized she knew the area inside and out. Bonnie specializes in St Petersburg properties. She mentioned she was different than other realtors because of the personal attention she gives to her clients. I arranged to see a few houses with her in a St Pete waterfront neighborhood that either were not on the MLS or were about to be in a few weeks. I thought that the and quot;personal attentionand quot; was going to disappear after a few weeks of showings, which has happened more than once with me. That did not happen. In fact, after a few weeks, when a mutual trust was established, the attention became more focused. She was able to decipher my wants/needs and find me a home. Knowing what I was looking for, she convinced me to see a house that I was not excited about because of the listing price and MLS pictures. Once she opened the door, I knew it was the perfect place for me. After her dedicated negotiating, we went under contract. At that point, she showed even more personal attention by going out of her way to accommodate my ever changing schedule and appeared at all the inspections giving me truthful and accurate descriptions of discrepancies found. She was always available for calls and very prompt when returning emails. By the time of closing, she earned my complete trust. She will be the only realtor I work with in the St petersburg area from now on. In a nutshell, Bonnie is the most professional, personable, knowledgable, and helpful realtor I've ever had the pleasure of working with.
