they were prompt in responding, & coming out to measure etc. Had to wait a few weeks for the shades to be custom made and scheduled time for installation. When the guys were installing, I noticed that the shades did not cover entire width of windows as ordered. The guys were great! They immediately investigated and found that Blinds by Design had measured correctly and submitted order correctly but that the manufacturer had sent wrong width. Blinds by design left those which were not quite wide enough in place for us to use temporarily until the correct size could be made and shipped. They put a "rush order" on it so we would not have to wait as long. When the shades arrived, Blinds by Design promptly came out to take down temporary ones and install the correct ones. They showed us how to program & work the remote etc. The shades look and work great! Although we had a "glitch" with the wrong ones initially sent, all employees of Blinds by Design were gracious, helpful and professional. No drama and no arguments, they immediately saw the problem and solved it. I highly recommend this company for the quality of the products and the ease of working with them. I would definitely use them myself in the future.

We were referred to this business through a decorator, which was our first mistake. It's a husband and wife team who seemed moderately professional and polite at first, but after we paid for our blinds and had them installed we noticed they weren't so nice anymore. It seemed like a small company and the husband never seemed to have enough help which could be why he was always so grouchy. Our motorized blinds had some problems during the first year they were installed, and we had to call them for repairs about three times. With each service call, the husband or wife would take longer and longer to return our calls acting like they were only interested in selling blinds not servicing them. The last time I tried to call them to come fix the broken blinds they never returned our calls and I gave up. The last message I left them was that "I would be happy to pay for a service call," and "if they don't want to fix them, please give me the name of someone else to call." I never heard from them again! It all worked out, because I found the "Blind and Shutter Gallery" on 4th Street who did a wonderful job of repairing the problems, and were very polite and professional. I would definitely use the "Blind and Shutter Gallery" again, but I haven't had anymore problems with our motorized blinds since they fixed them!
