All went well, from the initial selection of granite in their showroom (and the education of what types of stone are good for what), to the measuring and actual installation! The quality of their product is outstanding and the owners, Lori & Steve, are both very personable and professional.

On my first visit with Patrick at the showroom, I was shown a piece of quartz left from another install that I liked and it was sufficient for my vanity top. At first, Patrick indicated that they would not install over an existing top but after a little discussion we decided to proceed with the project. Patrick was professional and very nice to work with. The owner, Steve, came to my condo to do the template and agreed that the installation would work fine. In about a week, the job was complete. Everyone in the company, including co-owners Lori and Lucy (the BIG dog) were extremely nice. I compliment Steve, Lori, Lucy and Patrick. I highly recommend this company. I love the finished product.
Description of Work: Installed quartz vanity top. Top was installed over existing Formica top that was in good shape but quite dated (from the 70's). There were a couple of reasons for not removing the old top. Several stone providers would not do what I wanted without offering a good reason. I had a marble vanity top done the same way in another bath so I knew it was possible.

My wife and I loved our experience with Bayside Granite. From our first contact with Patrick in the show room, to the templates, and the final installation. We were kept well informed throughout the entire process and everything was done on time, with no surprises. We had gotten several other quotes, but we went to Bayside because Patrick was the most competent sales person I had spoken with, and really cared about our needs. We felt this was the place we wantd to do business with. This is a family owned business and they treat there customers with great service. We would go to Bayside for future needs, without hesitation. Thank you to Patrick, Steve, and Lori!

Everything went very smoothly. From the first conversation with the salesperson, to the final install -- and a follow-up call from the owner the next day just asking if I was satisfied -- they were friendly, courteous, punctual, and professional. They had a good selection of granite, at reasonable prices. Fabrication went faster than initially estimated, and the installation went very smoothly -- only a couple of trims needed to be made on-site. The installers cleaned everything up, and were very conscientious about keeping the dust to a minimum. They were careful about the walls, and making sure none of the cabinetry got damaged in the process. He also gave me detailed instructions about sealing and maintaining the counters, which was greatly appreciated. I have no complaints, and would recommend Bayside Granite and Tile to others.

After 2 1/2 hours of steady work, we have what amounts to new counter tops. Mr. Loeffler filled the pits, shaved down the fillings, sanded and buffed the granite. He fully informed us of the process he would use and reassured us that he would address all the sites we marked. He explained that some of the sites might be too small for the filler to adhere. True to his explanation, he was able to address almost all of the sites we identified. Excellent work, patient worker, and a true craftsman.
Description of Work: For several years we have searched for a granite company that would seal pits in our granite counter tops. When we attended the Home Show at Tropicana field, we talked to the Loefflers and learned they did repairs. Within a week of the phone call, Bayside was out and sealed the pits.

Bayside Granite is most professional from answering the phone to perfecting the granite installation. It is a family owned and operated business. They work to perfection, flexible when needed, and comes back asap for any issues you may have. Ours was a very difficult install. It is a large kitchen with granite also up the walls. They took the granite pieces up and down the elevator until it was perfect. The sinks etc may not have arrived on time, etc and they were very flexible and patient with all our needs.
Description of Work: Bayside Granite templates my very large kitchen and installed the granite to perfection! I have had a lot of granite installed over the years and they are far above anyone else I have worked with over a 25 years.

Wonderful job! The customer service was fantastic, they were a pleasure to work with and the price was under budget. It was half the price of some other kitchen and bath remodeling companies.

Can,t measure. Granite way off on two sides. Backsplash had to be ground down on site and shimmed and filled with caulk to level it. Also shims all over. Looks like work was done by beginner. They broke first slab at their shop. Gal at shop Very nice so beginning starts out very well until the actual work gets performed. When they finish job they go straight to your bank and hammer your check that day. I will have to live with the gap by my stove as you can,t miss it when you go in the kitchen. Would NOT recommend.
Description of Work: Measured my kitchen, removed old counted tops, installed new granite countertops and backsplash.

Response from BAYSIDE GRANITE & TILES
I am sorry that you were not happy with the final product. When we remove existing Formica tops, the cabinets were not completely level. Granite must sit on a level surface or it will crack. We used shims to level the tops which is industry standard. The back splash was cut down at the job site since you had a high bar and they had to shim so they had to make adjustments, that is all part of the job. Caulk does not level anything it only fills in the space between the wall and the stone. The granite stops flush at the cabinets by your stove. The reason there is a gap beside the stove is because that is where your cabinets stop. There is a gap between your cabinets and your stove so even if the granite overhung you would still have gap between the cabinets and the stove. It is a 30" opening between the cabinets which gives you room to push your stove in. When you were quoted the job you brought in one drawing then every time you brought in a new, different drawing adding a bar and then increasing the size of the bar the next time which increased the price. Each drawing added more granite. You were aware that you pay per square foot for the granite, it is even stated on the contract. When they came to measure, again you added more. You decided to add back splash so that increased the total cost. You were upset that you were going to have to pay more for the square footage for the back splash and wanted something for free. We gave you a discount, but you didn't think that was good enough and I think that is where you had an issue and from there you were not going to be happy when they came to install no matter what. All of our overhangs in the front of the cabinets were correct and the granite covered your cabinets and you got the size bar and back splash you wanted. So all of our measurements were correct, it was your measurements in the beginning that were constantly changing which changed the price and that was the issue.

I chose not to accept the second top because the quality was poor and it was not what I had ordered. They refused to replace it and threatened to place a lien on my property. Fortunately my contractor's main concern was pleasing me (unlike Bayside) and payed the bill simply to prevent a lien. My contractor had to remove the countertop himself in order to have another company come in to install a new one. The new company did an excellent job which just emphasized what horrible job Bayside did. They are extremely unprofessional and do shoddy work. They also do not stand behind their work. Don't hire them!!
Description of Work: Bayside (BEWARE-they operate under multiple names!) installed two custom quartz countertops in my home and both were very poorly constructed and installed. The first was not cut to the correct size. The countertop was not deep enough and did not overhang my cabinet drawer/door fronts as it should. Also the depth was inconsistent (24 1/2" in some places, 25" in other places) and the island top was out of square. One of the countertops and the bar top were not level. They replaced all but the bar top with another poorly constructed product. They installed a new countertop but tried to reuse the first island top by adding an edging. They were deceitful in not telling my contractor or me that they did not have enough material to fabricate a new island top until afterwards. They tried to slip it by us. They didn't want to purchase a new lot of stone. They would have had to replace everything in order for it to match because lot colors can vary quite a bit.

WE HAD STANDARD ''BUILDER-GRADE'' TILE IN OUR 3 BATHROOMS THAT WE WANTED TO UPGRADE. WENT TO BAYSIDE AND FOUND THE TYPE OF TILE WE WERE LOOKING FOR (SLATE and SAULTIO). MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE THE GUYS COME OUT AND INSTALL. ON THE FIRST VISIT, THE GUYS CAME OUT AND TOLD US WE DID NOT HAVE CEMENT BOARD UNDERNEATH TO LAY THE TILE AND HAD TO RESCHEDULE. (EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BRING SOME WITH THEM IN THE EVENT WE DID NOT HAVE CEMENT BOARD. AND BY THE WAY, TURNS OUT WE DID HAVE CEMENT BOARD UNDERNEATH BUT THE FIRST CREW DID NOT TAKE THE TIME TO CONFIRM THIS). AFTER RESCHEDULING. AND TAKING TIME OFF OF WORK TO BE AT HOME, THEY MISSED THE APPOINTMENT AND NEVER CALLED US. AFTER PHONING THEM, WE RESCHEDULED AGAIN AND THEY EVENTUALLY CAME OUT AND INSTALLED THE TILE. OVERALL, THE TILE LOOKS GREAT BUT THE EFFORT TO GET IT DOWN WAS NOT WORTH IT.
Description of Work: HAD SLATE TILE PUT DOWN IN 2 BATHROOMS AND SAULTIO TILE IN A THIRD BATHROOM.

VERY POSITIVE. COURTEOUS, RESPONSIVE, WILLING TO TRY SOMETHING OUT-SIDE-THE-BOX, AND THEIR INSTALLATION WAS FAIRLY GOOD. GAVE ME THE IDEA AND CONFIDENCE TO CUT A STRUCTURAL POST (AFTER INSTALLING TEMPORARY SUPPORTS) ENABLING THE INSTALLATION OF A FAIRLY LARGE PIECE OF GRANITE WITH FEWER SEAMS. ONLY IN ONE AREA COULD THE GRANITE BEEN CLOSER TO A WALL WITH A SMALLER VOID TO FILL. AND THEIR PRICE WAS THE BEST OF 3 QUOTES I RECEIVED ON THE SAME JOB. VERY PLEASED WORKING WITH THE OFFICE CONTACT (LORI), THE MANAGER (OWNER?) AND THE WORKERS WHO DID THE ACTUAL INSTALLATION (WITH THE MANAGER ALONG TO HELP WITH THE INSTALLATION DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE GRANITE). HOPE TO CONSIDER THEM AGAIN WHEN DOING BATHROOM COUNTERTOPS. VERY PLEASED!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
Description of Work: INSTALLED TWO GRANITE KITCHEN COUNTERTOPS, ONE FAIRLY LARGE THAT TOOK 4-5 MEN TO PUT IT IN PLACE.
