Description of Work: They ended up calling me to let me know that the electric range I needed repaired could not be repaired. The company no longer made parts for it. I ended up getting a refund of my discount I purchased. I will call then again should the need arise.

Description of Work: B&B advertised a special price home visit for $29.50 on Angies List . I just moved into this house, and could not get the dishwasher door to close, so it would not operate. They contacted me promptly, arrived promptly, and the repairman determined that I just was not pushing the door hard enough. The repairman pushed the door shut hard, and the machine started. They charged me another $20, saying the $29.50 was just to get them to my door. Since we immediately turned the dishwasher off after having successfully started it, after the repairman left I had water all over my floor. I did get good advice about what dishwasher soap to use. I didn't think the charges, in this instance, were fair.

Description of Work: Replaced timer in refrigerator and removed ice.

Description of Work: I called B&B because my dishwasher quit filling with water. Michael came out the next day, and diagnosed the problem as a broken pump assembly. The charge for the diagnosis was $40, which would be applied to the repair if completed within 30 days. After discussing it with my husband, we decided to repair the dishwasher instead of buying a new one (we have a 5 year old stainless, which would cost over $600 to replace, at a major appliance outlet store), and called Michael back on a Thursday. He ordered the part right away so that it would be in by the following Monday, and came to my house to perform the repair on Monday. The total cost of the work and the part (which was the most expensive part of the dishwasher to replace) was $278.20, which included the $40 diagnosis. He did an excellent job, and we are very pleased with the current performance of the dishwasher.

Description of Work: Ervin replaced the lid switch on my Kenmore 70 series washer. This is the second time that he has performed work for me and I am very pleased! (The first time for a completely different problem. I believe that he offers a one year guarantee on his work.)
