Description of Work: stay away from this company they will get your money up front and not perform all services, they ripped me off on the $489 clean up portion at the end, one of their techs said since animals still in attic no sense cleaning until problem resolved, then another tech said cleaning was completed, however tenant wasn't home for them to get in to clean. I contacted owner he gave me two dates in trying to say when service was performed another tech gave me a different date, moral of this shortened version is you'll end up taking legal action as i have when using this company, check out their reviews with the better business bureau you'll see a dozen or so similar complaints. Also there is a reason they don't list their address on their website to many unsatisfied customers.

Description of Work: They laid out one trap for a 3500 sq ft house with squirrels in the attic..I had to BEG for 2 weeks for more traps, then they brought out one. I called while going on vacation, 3 weeks later I never got a call back...tried to call for service, nothing. Then, they come back and tell me that I have some sort of service agreement and I have to pay to get out of it. Do not use this service, they are horrible...should have checked Angie's List first.

Description of Work: Had multiple armadillos, destroyed ductwork underneath home. Set traps with little success/didn't check traps but occasionally. Come monthly to spray repellant. Armadillos finally moved on, but not sure how much due to Allstar. Very difficult to contact local company.

Description of Work: I called about a dead rodent in the attic of the house causing an obnoxious odor throughout the house. Even though it was 4:45 pm a service man came right out, climbed in the attic and determined the rodent was in the wall and it would be costly to try to find out the exact location. He then performed an analysis to determine where the rodent might have entered the house and suggested remedies. There was no charge even though it was then 7:00 pm in the evening. The man was courteous, helpful, and eager to help in any way. I will definitely call him again if the need arises.

Description of Work: My dog was killed by a venomous snake. I called them to come check the area and to help us keep the property as safe as possible. We have a 3 year old child. I watched as he poked and prodded clumps of plant growth, check holes in the ground and just generally check out the area. He placed homemade traps on my property and also around the outside of my fences. He explained everything to me so that I could understand what he was doing, given my emotional state. They will come back every other day and check the traps, for one week. I entered into a service contract for $70 a month for the next 11 months for them to come out and sprinkle snake repellant on my property that herpetologists say does not work. I tried to contact him less than 5 hours later to cancel the contract and I was told that he would hold my paperwork until he came to my house on Monday to check the traps. He said we could redo the paperwork then. When he arrived he said he could not cancel the contract, he had to turn it into his sales manager and then I would have to contact his manager to cancel the contract. When I tried to contact the manager the voicemail box was full and I was unable to leave a message. I was happy with the service at the time but I am now very unhappy that I cannot cancel a contract that I don't need.

+ -1 moreThe Allstar Animal Removal technician was professional, courteous, and answered all my questions. The Time Insulation technicians did good work and repaired the damage to the attic access opening in the garage without complaint. My only wish is that Allstar Animal Removal could have returned to inspect the new attic insulation and verify it was done properly.
Description of Work: I called on Wednesday and the technician arrived the next morning. He examined the exterior of the house, then examined the attic taking pictures. He showed me where the rats were entering the house, and showed me the attic photos of where they were nesting. He described the steps: trap existing rodents, close all entry points, treat insulation with antimicrobial spray, and install rodent bait stations and monitor monthly. He put traps in the attic before he left for the day.He returned, checked the traps in the attic, and closed the entry points. He also sprayed the attic insulation with the antimicrobial solution to eliminate the odor.When the odor did not disappear, he returned to examine the attic. The attic insulation was still contaminated, so the attic needed to be restored: remove all old, contaminated insulation, sanitize attic rafters etc. with antimicrobial spray, and install new insulation.A contractor to Allstar Animal Removal, Time Insulation, arrived on time and removed all old insulation and sanitized the attic on Day 1. The following day, Time Insulation returned to blow in the new insulation. I pointed out the damage to the attic access opening that occurred the day before. The new insulation was installed. The following day a repairman arrived and fixed the attic access opening. No more rats, no smells!

Although it did not appear that they were gaining access, we thought we'd better make sure that we didn't have any pests in the attic (our roof had previously been repaired after being struck by lightning) --to be certain there was no breach. After reviewing Angie's List and seeing AllStar Animal Removal's website, we called the company. The operator took our number and said the technician would call in about a half hour. He called sooner than that. Tim took my information and said that someone would be out the same day. Terry called (male), listened carefully to the situation and said he'd be out between 4pm and 5pm. I asked for a call back from him to have an idea when he was closer. He called to give me the update of when he'd arrive and was here promptly. He was polite, clean, listened intently, seemed genuinely concerned, viewed the area where the bees had swarmed, was respectful of our house, and gave us insight into bee behavior. He investigated two different access places to the attic, got his ladder and entered the attic. We were fortunate that there was no breach and he saw no evidence of any animals. If we ever did have a problem with the attic, or needed animal removal (we live near a pond and there are snakes in the region) -- I wouldn't hesitate to call this company and would request Terry again. This was a very positive contractor interaction and it's wonderful when you can feel confidence in knowing you've found an honest, professional company to work with. I recommend them highly.

+ -1 moreEverything went just perfect! Ryan made at least 2-3 checks of the attic before all areas were sealed. Once areas were sealed he still did re-checks for any lingering pests. The best thing about the whole experience other than the price & professionalism was the fact that All Star Animal Removal is on duty/call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Each time the technician came out I was told that I could call them at any time if I thought there was an animal in our attic. They would respond right away.
Description of Work: I discovered an animal (rat) was dead in our attic by a strong stench that started on a warmer day than usual. Since it was the day before NY eve, I was very anxious to have it removed immediately. I called a couple of places and they were all closed for the holiday until Monday (Jan. 3.) I called All Star and they took my message and said someone would call me back. I was surprised that my called was returned in about an hour! The technician came out the next morning and removed a rat and surveyed the attic for openings. He found several areas (roof returns) that were very small but an animal could squeeze into. We have had this happen once before and all they did was remove the rat. We had no idea that we had openings that were a problem. I was given a quote at that time explaining what I could do to have it fixed and exactly what it would entail. I decided to have him to all the work plus repairs because it was very reasonable and guaranteed.
