+ -1 moreRuss came out and looked at all that we need done. He said he would write an estimate for us, but we have never received it. I called the office after about a week and was told that they would check on it and have the estimate sent to me in an email. I have never received the email or a call back. We liked Russ and were looking forward to the work being done. If this is just a mix up, then we still be interested. Perhaps he does not want to do the work, but we would appreciated knowing that. We had Angie's List and a Lightning store recommendations. We are disappointed.
Description of Work: Need ceiling fan removed and a light put up in the kitchen, new electric outlet in the garage, ceiling fan put up in a bedroom and have the ceiling fan fixed in another bedroom.

+ -1 moreRuss promptly came out when first contacted and helped me think through some solutions. Jessie and Steve handled the installation and obviously know what they're doing. Hard workers and friendly to have around. I used Allied because they did the wiring for the house when it was renovated a year earlier and the work appeared to be high quality (before I purchased it) and I'm glad I did.
Description of Work: Installed under cabinet lighting with wires hidden and new switch, over cabinet lighting that called for 2 new outlets and a new switch, coach lighting on each side of the garage door where there were none (thus had to drill through the concrete and wire the whole thing) with a switch, and a motion light under the eaves where there was none so new installation including switch inside the garage.

They both are really good guys to have around and both work diligently with no breaks. Steve is especially good at figuring out difficult electrical situations. He can always find a way! There price was more than fair and I look forward to using them again.

+ -1 moreRuss was very personable and all of the outdoor outlets/connectors/etc. looked nice and are still functioning as intended after 15 months. We did some digging to help keep the cost down, and still felt the price was a bit high, but we are happy with the work and would definitely recommend the company.
Description of Work: we had electrical installed for a pool and hot tub; 20 amp 120 volt circuit for pool and 50 amp 240 volt circuit for hot tub.

+ -1 moreNone of the outlets were working in 2 of the bedrooms. I called Russ at Allied and he came right out to determine the issue. The following morning he came back out at the exact time he said he would and spent over 2 hours working on the issue. We had some other minor issues like broken outlet face plates in other rooms and he also replaced them.

+ -1 moreI purchased a "Big Deal" (the whole house surge protection) from Angie's List from Allied Electrical Systems. I emailed Russ, the owner, and he called me within a day or so to schedule. He arrived when he said he would and did the work quickly and efficiently. He also tested the current for my house and confirmed that levels were good. I would recommend Allied and will call Russ again if I have any electrical problems.

Description of Work: Allied Electrical Services were advertised for am Angie's LIst Big Deal for a home electrical inspection and instillation of a whole house surge protector for $199. We agreeded this was and excellent deal, and purchased it on Feb 10, 2012. It is now 5 weeks later, and over 5 phone messages or emails to this provider to schedule these services, without response. We contacted Angie's List customer service, who also left a message for Allied Electrical to respond, without success. While we'd cannot respond to the Quality of their work, we can to their promptness and profession ism, to which we gave a F. In our opinion if you offer to provide a BIG DEAL for Angie's List, than you should be prepared to provide those services in a timely and professional manner. We would not recommend this provider. Fortunately Angie's List has refunded us the full purchase price.
