New to the Jacksonville area, I utilized the add from the bulletin from the St. Joseph's Church. I figured if you could trust any company - the Church bulletin would offer the best option. When I called for a quote - they were here quickly - gave a quote. Did not hear from them for some days - and then I called - because I felt I was getting ripped off - the price was quite high. None-the-less, I had signed, and they said they ordered the sun-roof and it had come in. He said he would be there Tuesday. The guy never showed up - and then called and had an excuse - and would be there Thursday. Thursday came - he showed - dropped off the sunroof - and left - did not do any work. Said he would be back next Tuesday. He missed that day too - calling with some excuse and said Thursday. Thursday he showed - and the work was done. New sun roof - but he forgot to buy one of the vents - so he had me run to Ace hardware to get it. Meanwhile, never took that off the bill. The chimney I guess was done also - but it has this white plaster showing all around it - it looks awful - I had to paint it. Unfortunately, same day the skylight went in - big storm came through - and it leaked. I called him and told them about it - and they said they would be out next week - and that never happened - no show/no call. I have given up and went with someone else. What a frustrating experience.
Description of Work: Skylight Replaced. Flashing around chimney was tuned up. Round Air Vents - they were lead and needed replacing.

He never called or showed
Description of Work: Roof was leaking and called them 7 am. Owner said he would be out by noon. He never showed and never called. I called him around 11 am and got answering machine and I left message. He finally called back at 3:30. By then he had lost my trust and I had lost a full day. Not good when you have an emergency like a leaking roof. Very unprofessional to not show or call.

Since installation, I have had multiple leaks due entirely to their poor craftsmanship. There were numerous exposed nailheads (a couple of which eventually rusted and thus created path for water) and they left badly corroded flashing in place. There are also "softspots" in the roof that should have been addressed when re-shingling (plywood replacement). If they had told me of problems found when removing old roof, I would have gladly paid extra to have issues resolved. I have since had problems fixed. Having Reese's Roofing replace my roof was a huge mistake.
Description of Work: Roof was replaced a eight or nine years ago. And I was not looking to cut any corners and expected a professional job.

I came home and they were on the roof ripping off the old shingles and was not using any tarps at all and no permit. I stopped the work and they call the manager. They promised me "again" that they were going to use magnets to clean up the nails and the permit was in being signed. (First time home owner and found out the hard way city permits work!) So they went back to work. Then next day the new shingles arrived and was a cheaper version and not architectural. Then next day they got the shingles that I wanted and after the job was done, it looked great. They didn't finish a couple things I wanted done and held the check until it was finished. I has rained hard several times with zero leaks but when Fran his Jax, about 6 feet of the peak blew off causing water to inter the house. It took about 6 calls to get them out and had to use the word "lawyer" to get action. The repair guy tried to use non-matching peak shingles since he had none with him, finally agreed to do a temp repair and PROMISED "again" to fix it within 7 days! A month later, still nothing. They will never, never, never, never answer the phone after service. You will have to use dirty words to get a reply, like "lawyer". They lied about the city permit. You must get one, the city is on your side that is way they will try not to get one. And put EVERYTHING in the contract, type of shingles, city permit, tarps, you name it!
Description of Work: Replaced shingles with architectural shingles. Was promised that they would use tarps around the house and a ten year warranty, couldn't find anyone else who could be it. Drove around and looked at their other roofs and went for them. Promise to have a city inspector permit.

They started about a week later than I thought they would, but they did a great job on removing the old roof and putting down the new roof. Matt was here supervising his crew whenever I stopped at the house to see how it was going. I would recommend him. It hasn't rained yet since I got the new roof, but I don't expect any problems.
Description of Work: Tear off old shingles on pitched roof, tear off gravel/tar on flat roof. Re-shingle with architectural, put tapered insulation on flat roof with torch down membrane on top of that.

Outstanding. Reasonable price, polite, on time, superior quality. Cleaned up entire job.
Description of Work: Completed a roof-over done by another roofer including repairs, fixing skylight leaks, shoddy work, etc. They had to tear out and redo shoddy work, found areas not done correctly and stopped all leaks.

Reeses Roofing came out when they said they would and was very thorough. They cleaned up their mess and worked very hard in spite of the heat. The roof looks nice and there are no curled up shingles. The rows are straight and there are no leaks.
Description of Work: Reeses Roofing replaced my roof. Even with the high temperatures, they did a good job. It took them about four days to tear the old roof off and put the new roof on.
