Description of Work: Painted kitchen and lower half of dining room walls. The two painters were skilled cordial neat and efficient. Great job overall.

Description of Work: I engaged Queen City to paint a small 8' x 12' bedroom. I took the $99 deal. When Jeff arrived promptly at 8:30 AM I asked how much more he would charge to paint the ceiling also. He quoted me $125, partly because he said that there was more than just light spackling needed on the walls and he would have to come back a second day. He came down at about 11:30 and said he had finished the whole job. He asked to use my utility sink in the basement while I checked his work. I gave a cursory look and told him it looked fine and that I was surprised he'd finished so fast. I wrote him a check for the additional amount and after he left I went up to put the room back in order. I noticed that the spackling had not been sanded very thoroughly and there were bumps on the walls where he had filled cracks and nail holes. I felt that, while the painting was fine, the prep work was below par. In addition, he had gotten some paint on a bedpost and also on the new faucet of my utility sink. I was able to clean both, but I just thought it was careless. This is the first time I've ever had to write a somewhat negative review in all the years I've used Angie's list. I'm reluctant to do it, but I have to admit I was disappointed overall in Queen City's workmanship. I also thought that $125 additional would have been fair if Jeff had actually had to come back a second day, but he was able to do the whole job in one morning, so I felt an adjustment could have been made. My bad for not making the terms clearer at the outset.

Description of Work: Painted Master Bedroom and ceiling. Also painted closets. Very pleasant to deal with and I will have more projects in the future for them.

Description of Work: Jeff painted my bedroom, my son's bedroom and a couple of spots on the ceilings downstairs that were recently repaired. He was prompt, fast, professional, and amazingly accurate and clean. Very pleased with the job!!!

Description of Work: Prepped and painted a portion of my room that had storm damage. They were fast but did a great job. Very happy with their work.

Description of Work: Jeff was excellent. I had him give me an estimate, not only for some painting of a difficult stairway, but also the removing the ceiling above the stairway which had been covered with cheap fiber square blocks. Jeff removed all the tiles and patched up the ceiling and primed it the first day and came back to paint everything. He was neat and cleaned up afterwards (with some help from his wife). He was thorough and punctual. |We are most pleased with his work and would recommend him highly to anyone.

Description of Work: Queen City Painting painted the entire interior of my home. They did an absolutely magnificant job. All walls, Celinings, Trim in my Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Hallways, two bathrooms, Master Bedroom and two additional bedrooms. The work was meticiulous and they never left things in disarray, everything was left perfect. When they left the only trace of them having been there was the masterpiece they left behind! Additionally I had them come back to paint my exterior doors and they also stained a fence for me. I highly recommend them and would never hesitate to endorse their services. Very prompt, polite, friendly, and they did exactly what they promised and then some!
