Mandarin Lawn & Tree

I was speaking with two men about hiring them for this service. I thought the two men were in business with each other. When the other man learned that I had accepted the bid, he contacted Chuck wanting half of the work. Chuck called me, said he told the other guy we cancelled the work and asked me to lie to the other company that I am no longer having the work done. It was a very uncomfortable situation. They did fine at the tree service. When they were trimming my trees, they would criticize my lawn care. He said he was going to cut my yard at no charge and show me what my yard should look like. I was impressed and I hired them for lawn care. After the next weeks service, the yard looked just like it did before I hired them for the yard work. The hedges nor the weeds were not touched in either of the visits. This happened again the next week. He also sprayed round-up at the edge of the grass line, around the borders in my front yard, and around my fence line in the back. It killed all the grass around these lines and a very obvious yellow shade of color formed in these spots. They damaged my yard. I saw what they were doing, but I trusted them because they said they were on Angie’s List. I called them and explained that the yard looked the way it did before I hired him. His excuse was that he was working by himself yesterday and didn’t have any additional help. As a woman, I was afraid to cancel the work and I had my friend call and cancel the services. We only had a verbal contract and there was nothing written or signed. They called me and told me that I owned them $70. I had to pay another company $40 to pull the weeds that they didn’t pull. The loss of my grass will equal well over $70. I would not recommend their services to anyone.

They are always prompt. They have a pretty good price. Our lawn looks good. We dropped another place that wasn't doing a good job. This company always calls first to let us know when they're coming. When I haven't been happy, they have cared for my concerns. They trimmed one side too low so that it didn't match the other side, and they fixed it for me.
