It went poorly. I hired them to put in a fence and gate with stone columns. The column and gate are not level. The owner refuses to even acknowledge an issue or even meet me to discuss the problem. To top it all off, the owner of the company was very rude about it. Overall a terrible experience.

I called Ronnie with Fast Fence to install a privacy fence. Told him to go ahead with the project and got a call a few days later saying he needed 3800.00 before starting to order the materials. This seemed a little shady to me. When his very pushy wife called demanding the money, I cancelled the whole deal. If you cannot foot the bill to order materials before a job, you should not be in a business. He called me back and was very angry and unprofessional. Run away from this company.

Although I've never paid to have a fence installed (I did instal a wooden fence for my father) it was an average to below average experience overall. I have a overly adventurous toddler and I have a newly constructed house on a pond so the speed to completion was a factor for safety sake (toddler had already gone into the pond once already). I had several companies come out and give me estimates for installing the fence and overall the prices were close, some outliers above and below and Ronnie (Owner of Fast Fence) was right in the mix. He requested $3500 up front so he could by the material (fence panels, posts, concrete, etc) and the balance at the completion. When he showed up at the house he asked that the balance ($800) be made out to him directly, I guess to avoid paying taxes. The first clue the experience wasn't going to be great was that I had asked for a specific type of fence, one without screws showing on the outside, and he showed up with fencing that had screws on the outside. I didn't realize the difference until they had installed about 5 panels. The excuse Ronnie gave was that he meant to tell me that they didn't have that product in the style I wanted and that this was a much better product which was made in the USA. My guess is that this was the product they had in stock or it was the cheaper of the two. I should have have put a stop right there but was dealing with sick baby that day and didn't have time to argue and it did look nice. I would check on them intermittently over the course of the job and saw that they were throwing dirt and wood into the pond. Not a huge deal but definitely not very professional. I was able to watch them instal the final few panels and realized that they hadn't been adding concrete to all the posts like Ronnie said they would. Before the job was finished I had asked Ronnie that he leave the leftover panels with me as I thought I could use them at a later date (He installed 16' less than what he originally ordered due to some HOA restrictions so I know he would have at least 2 full 6' panels left over). Ronnie told me that they had to cut them up to use in the corner sections but I actually saw them in his trailer. Another issue was the location of the front gate. I completely share in the responsibility for this but I would have likde to have the gate more in the middle of the front section instead of on the corner. When i asked Ronnie about this he said that was how he drew it up so that's what he did. True enough but I guess I was expecting him to use his experience and discuss with me what might look better. A few days after he left I called him back to come back and put in concrete in those posts that he missed. I also saw that one of the fence pickets was put in the wrong way (at the factory) so I wanted him to fix that as well. He did come back out and left someone to fix the post with concrete (did a good job) but said he would have to order another panel in order to fix the picket. It's been about 3 months and he still hasn't come back to fix it. I've seen him working in other houses and talked to him as well as calling him more than a few times but he won't call me back. Not great business sense (or maybe it is) to be this way as his wife runs a cruise booking business. We were thinking of putting together a family cruise but of course we won't be using his wife for that. All in all, I would suggest finding a different person/company to install your fence. If he ever comes back to fix my one panel I might consider bumping his overall grade to a 'C'.
Description of Work: Installed ~ 170' of 4' black aluminum fence along with 2 4' gates around a back yard. Was supposed to install 186' but due to HOA restrictions the rear line had to be moved back 8 feet on each side.
