I hired Osceola Window & Door to replace my windows and doors for my house last year. Matt and Autumn are really nice nice, friendly people. Autumn and I exchanged many emails fine tuning my order. She was very patient. My windows and doors were installed at the end of October while I was not living there. I moved into my house in December. The problem I had is that the installation was very sloppy. Caulking/sealing was poorly applied and the smears around my front windows look especially awful and will be there, bothering me every time I look at them, forever. For the amount of money I paid for this project (>$20k), they should have done a more professional job with the caulking. Even the guy who subsequently painted my house commented on the sloppiness. It literally looks like a small child did it. Matt came out himself twice to re-caulk some areas around the windows (inside and outside) last winter because there were gaps (!) that leaked cold air, and I have had to re-caulk *again* in some places including the entire area over the front door on the inside that I didn’t notice until the spring. I think you will get a good product for a good price from Osceola Window & Door, and Matt & Autumn are super nice, but their quality control for installation definitely needs significant improvement.

I checked with 4 different window companies on getting six replacement windows for specific area of my home where I was seeking maximum protection from heat without total blocking from tint. The existing windows were fine but I wanted Energy Star windows to help with heat from sun. Osceola Windows & Doors was the most responsive company I contacted and was quick to provide details on their PGT product & answer questions. His product cost was lower than other vendors which I attributed to Aluminum frames. I was told he was providing energy star product that would block the heat I was concerned about. I was told it would take 2 weeks to receive & install the windows. Matthew did not include permitting in his quote but said he would provide all the details so I could pull a permit. It all sounded great and I sent him check for 50% down to proceed with installation after confirming no other cost (I would pay for permit). After he received check, he provided a receipt that now included state sales tax on the entire bill which is not legal. Window company can include whatever fees/cost they want in quote/contract, but they can only add sales tax to hardware portion if they are distributor and need to pay additional tax to state on that. I did not confront Matthew about this at first, because he already had my money and I decided I could absorb that if everything else went okay. I proceeded to get additional information on the windows he was installing so I could file for permit. Matthew gave me the specs the county permitting office said they need, but I was unable to file permit for work unless I swore to authorizing licensed contractors doing the work. I was fine with this, but Matthew refused to provide me with the name of he license contractors he had doing the work. He did offer to charge me an additional $500 plus permitting to have them pull license which is hundreds more than other vendors. With no ability to pull permit on own and 7 weeks after orders (informed of delays in getting ordered and arriving broken first time), I confronted Matthew about the 6% add-on fee not being okay and seeing if he could split the cost of getting permit pulled. Matthew was offended at my info/request & not going to budge and at this point decided he would just deliver windows and be done working with me. I didn't expect him to return the money and I was thrilled that he would provide the windows. He told me he was taking a loss on windows and I even sent him more money after I received the windows in good shape. At that point I was expecting to provide a decent review in the end, but I then discovered all his windows were not energy star windows. Even if I had paid the fee, I later find out I had windows that would not have passed inspection. He did have energy star on one, but the picture windows I was most concerned about are rated for northeast and do not provide the sun/head blockage I was looking for. I would have gladly paid more to Osceola to get the right windows. What a waste of Money. I think Matthew's dad used to run the business so maybe Matthew just does not know how to operate the business. He shared with me early no that most of his business if putting in windows on home getting flipped. Either way, I am stuck with product that does not solve my issue.

He was on time and looked at the window. He had to replace the glass instead of the window to save me money. He completed the job in a half hour.

Job was done well and workers were prompt, competent and efficient. While I'm sure the shutters meet all hurricane codes, etc, I don't feel they are quite as high quality as others on the house. First, they are somewhat higher than the windows and expose some siding above the windows which is not particularly attractive. Suspect they are standard length panels and originals were custom-cut to size. Second, they use velcro straps to hold panels in the open position rather than the superior pin and hole arrangement used on the originals. Other than that, the shutters are completely satisfactory. I would use the company again, but would check quality of product to be sure it was what I expected.

The service was excellent. They are very honest and fair in their pricing. They are good people to work with. The work turned out good as well.

Joe returned our call quickly and came around to give an estimate. He said that he would be at our home at 10 am and on the stroke of 10 he was there. He covered the floors with cloths and protected the carpets and walls as he removed old windows. He cleaned up as he went and even brought a vacuum to clean any dust. All in all we are very happy with Joe and his work.

Joe and the guys who did the installation were great. Joe returned my calls quickly, showed up when he said he was going to show up. The men who installed the hardware walked me around the house to show me what they were doing and walked me through putting the panels up and taking them down.
