Chad and team did a complete remodel of my parent’s bathroom to make it more handicap accessible. It was a complete tear out to the studs and rebuild. They helped with the design and sourcing of materials. Their carpentry and tile work and attention to detail were amazing. I highly recommend them.

I’ve used many contractors over decades of home ownership. I put One of a Kind Carpenter at the top for quality and value. It started with Dale who was friendly and efficient getting me the quote. Then she promptly got me the revisions as I modified the scope of work until we arrived at a final plan. One of the other things I liked was that Chad, the owner, did not just give me what I asked for; he made suggestions that made the project better. The workmanship was overseen either by himself or by his son. They know what they are doing. We did a 10’ x 1’ bump out wall covered in stone. Instead of using sheetrock like another contractor wanted to do, Chad used Durock to support the weight. They even hand cut the 90 degree stone side corners up to the 12’ ceiling. It was refreshing not to have a single problem with their workmanship. For materials, he did not do cost plus but gave me the receipts and only charged me what he paid. He did a few extra things that needed to be done without charging extra. They are true professionals not demanding an upfront deposit to cover the materials as lesser contractors do. They finished the project quickly too! This new bump out wall has given us pleasure every single day since its completion. I highly recommend One of a Kind Carpenter.

One Of A Kind Carpenter added an office space to our existing dining area. Chad and Dale were both a pleasure to work with. Chad quoted me 5 days to complete the project but they finished it in under 3 day!! The quoted price was very close to final cost and the office looks great!! I would definitely recommend them and will use them in the future.

Excellent service and results! Even though the project turned out to be much more complicated than first thought, they did what they needed to do to make sure the job was done right.

When I purchased the house, there was a hole near one peak of the roof where an animal had chewed it - I needed it repaired and called One of a Kind. The work was done very professionally - Chad sealed a gap, replaced the board, and painted it - looks like new! Price was fair and I will definitely call him again for woodwork and remodeling.

One of a Kind Carpenter did the work perfectly. Flooring had to be installed where the wall was removed and in the new closet. The work was professional and the owner and his crew were terrific.

Things went even more smoothly than I would have hoped. Right from the initiation of the process with his business partner in the office, through job completion, both kept me fully informed and handled all matters with professionalism and courtesy. The actual work was performed quickly and flawlessly, including two recommendations on changes to accommodate the home sale (which we are successfully in the process of right now!). I will definitely use this company on my new place as required, and to recommend them as often as possible.

I was very pleased with the quality of work to repair my porch. Some steps and posts needed replacement in addition to the railing. I certainly will use them again.

Awesome!! Chad, Shane, Sean and Nando were amazing, fun and over the top helpful!!! They even took me shopping for items I still needed as they fit in their truck and not in my car. Their attention to detail was great!. They had an issue with trying to install one of the vanities due to the plumbing and I knew even though I had paid them in full that they would show up the next day to finish the job - they were that kind of contractor that I knew they would come back even though they were paid. You don't find that ever!!! I knew from the moment Chad walked in the door to give me an estimate that I wanted to work with his company. Dale was fantastic in scheduling and keeping me updated as to when they could do the work. I really hope I can hire them again to do more projects around my house!!

I don't have the words to thank you for doing such a beautiful job on my bathroom remodel. All the horror stories I heard from some of my neighbors who had remodeling done in their homes did not hold water. The house was taped up to stop the spread of dirt and it did. The crew was on time each day and when they were done each day, they cleaned up and put their stuff away. They were all pleasant and a pleasure to have in my home. The work done was exemplary. I had a mental picture of what the finished bathroom would look like and what you did far exceeded my expectations. I couldn't be happier with the service I got from One of a Kind Carpentry. My call was returned quickly by Dale and she kept in touch with me thru every step making sure I was happy with everything going on. Chad came out quickly to give me a quote and was swilling to work around my crazy schedule. Chad and his team we're professional, nice, respectful, clean and did great work. I will definitely be calling them for my next job.

Everything went as expected. The crew that was sent out was very punctual, professional and respectful of our home. They did great work and cleaned up after themselves. Pricing was fair and receipts for all materials were provided at end of job. I ended up paying less than originally estimated. I will be using them again for any future repairs/remodeling jobs.

Excellent! I showed them a picture of what look I was going for. The owner takes the time to listen to your input and then makes suggestions based on his experience. It is definitely a collaboration between the carpenter and the homeowner. They show up on time and take pride in their work and it shows in the end result. This was actually the 2nd job they did on my house. The first visit was crown moulding and and framing out the front entry door w/ decorative moulding. I will definitely use them for future carpentry needs.

It seems to me that my review has been severely altered and edited by someone other than me, to omit the entire story. So I will submit another and do so again if need be. I had originally contacted them through Angie's List as they were recommended as someone who would do just about anything that needed to be done including a handyman services. I sent them a request to have some water damage to my floors in my RV slide room areas repaired. The request included pictures and extensive detail of where the repairs were needed. They contacted me via text message and said okay they would discuss it the owner/service tech to see what they could do. Then they asked me how much did I have to spend. I told them "I live in a trailer for a reason", not divulging how much money I did or did not have to spend on such a project. After that point there was no further contact from them. I'm of the opinion that when they felt that I did not give them a dollar amount that they could work with they felt that there was no money in the project and they avoided any further communication. Just like being an automobile dealership, they first ask you how much money you have to spend and try to take as much as they can from you or more based on that figure. As you can see from their response they claim that they don't work on recreational vehicles or trailers. Nowhere in their website does it say or in their communications with me that they did not work on trailers. They are just using as an excuse fluff up a bad review. I have received several requests from them to remove the bad review to which I have chosen not to do. They could have offered me their "handyman for a day" and come and made the repairs which they do list "wood rot repairs" as an item. However they did not. I thought to be extremely expensive at $72 an hour or 575.00 for 8 hours for a business that has 3 employees and no large building, equipment, or overhead coosts. Seems to me they pick and choose who they like to do work for as long as its a big ticket item and ignore the rest.

This is my 2nd project with One of a Kind Carpenter. As with the first job they did a great job on my current project. They were on time, on budget and did a very professional job. The crew was very conscious about clean up after work was done. It is a pleasure working with tradesman that are professional! I will definitely use them again and will refer to others.

We had our bathroom and stairs re-constructed. When Chad came to see exactly what needed to be done; I knew right away he knows his business. He recognized shoddy workmanship from our previous contractor and showed all the mistakes that had been made all the way to the tiniest detail. I hired him immediately without regret. He exceeded our expectations, and I did not have to "oversee" or "supervise" his work. I stayed away so I would not interfere in any way because I knew he would do a good job, and sure enough he did! This is our forever home, and seeing the great work he did every day, knowing it doesn't look like Home Depot contractor prefabricated living quarters. It increased the value of our home by thousands and thousands of dollars. Very affordable, no messes left over, no nails in the road. I cannot say more about how happy I am! One more thing, something you don't see often! Chad offers a 2 year warranty on all of his work.

One Of A Kind did an amazing job! I seriously couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out. I have had past experiences with other carpentry companies and let me just say that Chad and crew are fantastic! I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism and craftsmanship. Definitely will be using them for future projects!

They never showed up. I called on Thursday to make an appointment the receptionist said that Chad would be at my home by Saturday to give me an estimate he never showed up or called

They came on the scheduled date and arrived when they said they would. They were neat and careful with our furnishings. They were pleasant and respectful. The quality of their work was outstanding. They were extremely professional. While I asked them not to clean up when they were finished so that I could do some spring cleaning, they were fully prepared to do so. I would definitely hire them again.
