+ 0 moreBrian and his father were extremely professional, courteous and respectful. I found it refreshing to work with someone who had such a strong work ethic and sense of pride in his workmanship. I would recommend J & B Handyman to anyone who needs repairs or projects done around the house!
Description of Work: My husband tried to replace the faucet on the kitchen sink but one of the bolts was corroded and we didn't have the proper tools to complete the job so I called J & B Handyman. Brian's wife answered and let me know he was a bit under the weather at the moment but that he would call me by 9:00 the next morning...and he did exactly that. As it was a rainy day, his previously scheduled job was postponed so he let us know he could be at our house within the hour - and he was. Brian and his father-in-law arrived, assessed the situation and got to work. While working on the faucet Brian asked my husband if he ever had trouble with the pipes, to which my husband advised him that we did. The builder had installed PVC pipes and we struggled with a loose seal frequently. Brian let my husband know that the problem could be fixed by replacing one of the pipes with a longer pipe and then gluing the pipes together for a stronger seal. Brian left for Home Depot to get the parts he needed but called my husband soon after to let him know that HD didn't have the parts and he had to go into Kissimmee so he would be returning a bit later than he anticipated. Upon his return he finished installing the faucet, changed the pipes and cleaned up his work area. My husband then asked about repairing a sagging soffit on the side of the house. Brian's father-in-law worked on it and he did a great job!

+ 5 moreI called Brian because he listed himself as a handyman even though the original request was to fix a leaky kitchen faucet. He and his father-in-law Pat came over that same afternoon and fixed the problem and then some. He offered to replace the damaged wooden floorboard under the sink and replace the leaky washers in the water filtration system at little extra. After discussing some of the other projects we wanted to start, Brian and Pat offered to look at what else we needed. The estimates were very reasonable, so they started on the front and back porch projects. They did an excellent job and we were very happy with the outcome, so we asked if they would be willing to start other projects as well. One project led to another and we have had them here since January 27th. They are professional, friendly, and courteous. They know what they are doing and they do it well. I will be posting pictures too. I highly recommend them and plan to have them build a wooden canopy over the paver patio in the near future. They deserve an A+ rating.
Description of Work: Brian & Co. 1.Repaired loose wires in shed, installed a fluorescent light in the shed, 2 backyard lights and created a new easy access switch. 2.Replaced a damaged section of chain link fencing. 3.Replaced old front aluminum railing with new wooden railings & spindles. 4. Replaced back porch posts & railings, installed lattice & screening to partially enclose. 5. Excavated around pool, installed edging & created a decorative border with gravel. 6. Constructed a wooden deck with railing on one side of pool & they are working on finishing my request for a bench on the deck & enclosure for the bottom on 2 sides with lattice.

+ 1 moreMr Ratliff was courteous, professional and experienced. He answered my call immediately and was able to accommodate my request the same evening. My husband and I were very pleased with the results and we will be utilizing his services next week for carpentry repair. I highly recommend Mr. Ratliff and his partner.
Description of Work: Mr Ratliff replaced a kitchen faucet, replaced worn parts that contributed to additional links within the existing kinetco attachment, reorganized the kinetco components for easier access and replaced the cabinet floor due to sagging from the leak.
