+ -1 moreThey completed a very complicated job. Jay the Village Key and Alarm Service Manager personally installed with his very capable aide Alan our alarm and camera systems. They were on time and were very professional. Jay has been back to add additional features. Village Key and Alarm has very strong commercial and residential references and they can hold their own against any so called national alarm company. I highly recommend because Village Key and Alarm are more than just locksmiths.
Description of Work: Took over our home alarm system from a national alarm company that could not handle our issues and installed their home alarm security system. In addition they installed a new home camera security system that we can view the cameras via my phone or iPad from anywhere.

Description of Work: Called the company to upgrade my home alarm to be capable of linking via cellphone line. Company has been providing service in the Saint Augustine, FL community for more than 30 years. Response was pleasant over the phone. A company representative visited my home the same day to perform a field assessment and later provided a cost estimate via e-mail the same day. After discussing and approving the proposal over the phone, installation for the alarm upgrade was scheduled and accomplished the very next day. Amazing service! Cost for cellular service is only $10.00/ month plus $20.00 for the alarm monitoring service for a total of $30.00/month (reasonable). Personnel installing the alarm equipment was courteous and once finished provided detailed instructions as to how to activate the alarm, locally at the wall panel, remotely using an iPhone application, or via wireless handheld remote. All activation features included in the $30/month fee! I will definitively use this company again in the future.

Description of Work: Have used Village Key for locksmith services at my business for years. We bought our safe from them, they installed it, serviced it when needed, and even moved it for us. They have always been punctual and professional, and a pleasure to work with. I went to their office when I dropped a key inside my parking brake. They tried everything to get it out for me, and were as nice as they could be. A+

+ -1 moreThe technician phoned 15 minutes before the appointment to see if the time was still OK and then showed up right at the appointment time. He was very professional and and very familiar with my system even though they didn't install the original system. He installed the new monitoring system quickly and then re-checked all the alarm points on the original system. He even found one heat detector not working and fixed it for no charge. The system works great and the monthly fee was the same as the land line monitoring system. I now have control through my cell phone which is nice. I can check the status and even arm or disarm it from the phone. It was great working with Village! .
Description of Work: I had my alarm monitoring system switched over to cellular communication to avoid a thief cutting my outside cables. I already had the alarm system but wasn't comfortable having it monitored by land line

Description of Work: We just purchased a home in St Augustine. The first time I visited Village Key was to have the locks rekeyed. They did it while I waited. These folks are really easy to work with and very knowledgeable. I installed the locks. We wanted to replace the front door locks (the old set is weathered) -- again found them easy to work with and very knowledgeable as they described the features and benefits of a number of their door locks. Purchased a lock and I'll install it after I paint the door.
