Thibault’s Electrical Service

I got four estimates for this project. Not only was Thibault the lowest bid but the job was done so professionally and so conveniently. I love this company, I have used them for years and was surprised that they sold and install generators. So I called them on the off chance that they did because they were my regular electricians and I couldn’t be happier. There was not a category for generator installation under their name but they should be.

I dug the trench, I supplied the 3 x 4. He started work around 8:30 after he used my bathroom. Then proceeded to tell me all his problems in his life, that was another 20-30 minutes? He finished a little before 11 but it took him 20 minutes to itemize the bill. Then I was told the extra work and charge was my fault because I wanted the switch moved. Silly me I didn't want to jump over the spa to get off my back steps.

They showed up on time. Professional and knowledgeable. Did great work. I will definitely use them again.

I was really impressed with them. They were perfect. The installation was precise and professional. He measured 2-3 times. He was articulate when it came to doing his work. He did a great job. He was there a long time. The price was a little high, but it was worth it.

Because Hurricane Matthew dropped a tree limb on our house, knocking holes in the kitchen ceiling, we thought that we might upgrade our lighting some along with the repairs. The estimate process was easy, and Doug showed up when expected, got the job done within the time frame suggested. Everything looks great. Would certainly hire Thibault's again.

Doug was wonderful. Got started as soon as he arrived and made no mess at all. Very outgoing and made recommendations that were extremely helpful. Extremely happy with everything he did.

Very well! The power went out in half of our house--yup, half--and after checking the usual stuff such as breakers with no luck, called Thibaults. They were here within an hour and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within another hour. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

The two young men that came Doug and Matt were absolutely wonderful. They were very polite. I showed them the two projects and they got right to it and completed them in just two hours. They also cleaned up the work areas. I am very happy with this company and plan to continue doing business with them.

The young men that came to install and switch out my ceiling fans and install a new cable outlet in my upstairs bedroom where the most professional and efficient professional gentlemen I've ever encountered. I would and will recommend Thibault’s Electrical Service for all home electrical needs!! Just want to say it took them less than 45 minutes to install a new outlet in my upstairs bedroom..it was awesome!! THESE GUYS KNOW THERE STUFF!!!

They arrived on time. Quickly evaluated all our electrical problems. Examined all the areas we had questions about. Made repairs and suggestions. Very courteous and professional. We were very happy.

We smelled a fishy odor coming from a socket yesterday, looked it up on the web and found that it could be something serious, so we called Thibault's after scanning the reviews here. Doug and Mickey came earlier today than expected (after calling first to see if they could), took 5 minutes to investigate and find the cause of the problem in an entirely different socket, and replaced it within 5 minutes. Problem solved, and the house won't burn down--well, at least not from that faulty socket. I would call them again in a heartbeat.

I had a rusted outside electrical box that was connected to my underground sprinkler system. Doug from the company came out and did the repair quickly. He also checked out all the other outside electrical connections at the house and tested that all were working. He found one more problem with my circuit breakers and dealt with that. He also checked my garage electrical connections and identified one problem and fixed that. All was done competently and efficiently.

I called the owner, Steve, on Monday. He said Anthony would call me to plan putting in a disconnect switch for a well pump ...the guy called me on Wednesday. I gave him my sister's number, told him to call her and she would let him in but he never bothered to call either her or me back...guess he didn't think the job was big enough for him and his company but he should have let me know he didn't want the job. Hey, next time let somebody know you're not interested!! I waited a week and gave the job to somebody else, ...the guy from Motley Electric came the next day and hooked me up..

This is a LONG review but, well worth the read!!!! Appointment was set for 8:00am (they arrived 30 minutes late at 8:30am), I told them when they arrived late that I HAD to leave by 1:00pm for an appointment and that was why we had scheduled the appointment for 8:00am so they would have plenty of time to finish and was told that THEY had to leave by 1:00pm for their next job. Guy #1 started outside on the coach lights. Guy #2 started inside in the living room measuring and trying to find studs in the wall with a screw driver (making about 8-10 holes with a screw driver, that will have to be filled before we leave, when asked why he couldn't use a stud finder he stated he never had much luck with those and and quot;I have wall patch for thatand quot;...I'm not sure if he intended to return when we move out to repair the damage or what exactly here was saying). Guy #1 finished installing coach light quickly and then started assembling and mounting the 3 ceiling fans and then started mounting 1 of the TV's on the wall in the office (which when finished is crooked) Guy #2 STILL working on the L/R TV mounting. After 4 hours Guy #2 still had not finished the TV mount in the L/R (but, had made quite a mess for himself, I brought him a hand vac and asked him to please tidy up and he said and I quote and quot;Oh we have a vac on the truck, I'll take care of itand quot; but, NEVER bothered to clean up ANY of the copper wire snippets, tiny bits of coax cable, drywall pieces or dust that ended up everywhere (even when he FINALLY finished). At 1:15pm I told them that I had to leave and the other woman in the house was still here along with our 12 year old. I asked it they needed at check before I left and was told and I quote... and quot;No, they will bill you, we do not take any moneyand quot;! AND they didn't give us a total or an invoice at that time Guy #1= Mounted 2 TV's and moved 2 electrical plugs and 2 cable outlets in 5 hours (without allowing anyway of connecting any components) Guy #2 = Installed 2 coach lights, assembled 3 ceiling fans and hung them, mounted 1 TV, moved 1 electrical outlet and 1 cable plug and redirected the cable line in the attic...in 5 hours! (without allowing anyway of connecting components) We had discussed adding an extra outlet in the garage at a later date but, had later decided not to since this house was a rental house. They were finally finished between 1:30 - 1:40pm according to the person that was here when they finished. The mess that was made wasn't cleaned up. We have a child and a dog in the house, with copper wire pieces in the carpet and on the tile floor for everyone to step on along with all the other mess they left. I called an spoke to the owner, Steve Thibault about the less than stellar experience we had had and he immediately got defensive saying and quot; This DOES NOT sound like MY crewand quot; and was not going to believe one thing he was being told. Then it was time for the bill...We were invoiced on June 28th. I called to inform the office that we had been overbilled for the labor by 1 hour and was told I needed to speak with the owner, Steve Thibault, about that and he was not in but, would be asked to return my call. Didn't hear from Steve or anyone else from Thibault's about this matter so, I called AGAIN and was told by the same guy (Anthony, very nice gentleman) that Steve was not there and he would tell him I had called again. Called AGAIN (this being the 3rd time) morning, (August 5 @ 2:30pm) and got to speak to Steve Thibault, the owner. He couldn't have been ANY ruder, accusing me of just not wanting to pay the bill. Regardless, that I was overbilled on labor AND I have to hire someone else to come in so they can actually correct the installation of the mounting of the TV's so we can hook up ANY components (like a DVD player), that would kind of be the reason to mount a TV on the wall, so you don't have wires hanging out everywhere. I told him that I didn't have any problem paying the invoice with a corrected labor amount (which should have been for 5 hours @$85.00 an hour instead of 6) to which he said in a very condescending way...and quot;How about just paying for 3 hours of labor since you never intending on paying the bill anyway ...Will THAT make you happy?and quot; I also asked that he (the owner, Steve Thibault)come out and look at the job his crew had done, to which he said and quot;Why should I come out and do more work you won't pay for?and quot; I never asked him to do more work, I asked him to come see the crappy job his crew had done! So, that is what I will do. I will pay him $255.00 less the original invoice of $ 566.49 for a total of $311.49 and I will never use or recommend this business again! Sure do wish I had that statement about only paying for 3 hours of labor in writing from Steve Thibault, the owner, I'm sure after he reads this, that too will be an issue. Found the whole experience to be very unpleasantly BAD and then to have to deal with the owner of a business that is just rude and hateful... NEVER AGAIN!!! I would love a place to attach a picture showing the crooked TV in my office and the way you CAN NOT conceal any cables to or from any of the TV's, to which I was told by Steve Thibault, the owner, that was not what I asked for...What other reason would I need TV's mounted on the wall for, I could have just saved a TON of money and bought TV stands and would NEVER have had to deal with this man or his company!! I was informed that I was the first in 1,000's of customers of this crew to complain, I find that VERY hard to believe!

Very professional. I contacted several 'handy men' to conduct the work and was told the work would take up to 8-9 hours and was qutoed between $500 - $800! I contacted Thibault's about the work and he quoted me an hourly rate and said the work would take 3-4 hours. I asked him to negotiate a flat rate fee as I was concerned about his estimate based on the 'handy man' companies time estimatesso I could make a true comparison to the 'handy man' company quotes.. He quoted me a $425 flat fee - so I agreed to have them come to the work. He sent two very professional young men to do the work which they completed in approximately 3.5 hours. They cleaned up after themselves and even hauled away all the empty fan boxes. In reality I would have been better off paying the per hour rate, but was nervous about their time estimate because the 'handy man' companies told me it would take them so much longer. I highly recomment this company for any of your electrical needs. They also guarantee their work for one year.

Called them on a Monday. They were here Wednesday morning and arrived at a reasonable time. They immediately got to work. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to get all of the work done. The material cost seemed very reasonable. They were very friendly and professional. I called them because they had great reviews on Angie's List and I can see why. I will definitely call them in the future for any electrical work.

My projects are due to start in 2 weeks so I plan to use his company to do the work then.

They were very good. They were quick and professional. My experience with them was really good. I was really happy with them and I would use them again.

I called on Monday morning, scheduled work that afternoon. Prompt, courteous, professional. No time wasted. Will definitely call them again. Would recommend to my neighbors.

Called for an appointment. Two electricians showed promptly. Boxes were moved as desired and the cost was as expected. Both men were professional and a pleasure to do business with.

I called Thibault Electric following a failed dishwasher installation because the big orange box store's installers refused to work with the way the former appliance was installed and insisted I call an electrician. I was thrilled with Thibault could come out the same day. They listened to my concerns and got right to work. The informed me that nothing was really wrong with how the old one was wired but rerouted the wired regardless so that they would not be under the appliance. Then they installed my dishwasher - including the plumbing part (routing and connecting the hoses). They continued to work on it until the neighboring drawers were able to open freely (the new dishwasher is a little bigger than the old one). On top of all of this, the quickly put in a new outlet for me on a wall that didn't have one. In the end - the bill was only for their time and materials. No extra charges for doing things that fall outside of what they came for. They cleaned up their mess and brought the old appliance out to the garage. Both men were professional and friendly and polite. I would not hesitate to use them again and happily recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician.
