SULLIVAN'S BRICK PAVERS

We commissioned the job, decking around a pool, with the understanding that it HAD to be done by a certain date. That date was missed in part to unexpected and extreme rain. Nevertheless, Sullivan found it difficult to keep workers on the job. He is an older person and this is hard work. To his credit, he powered on whether he had assistance or not, but there is only so much someone with back and knee pain can accomplish in paving. He was out ill or at a doctor's appointment several times over a week period. 70% of the job looks great; the rest is sloppy. The deadline was missed. We commissioned him a month before the event for which we were planning and 3 weeks before the date he said he could have it completed. He left the work unfinished. He did some really poor cuts in obvious areas. He left the drainage slats unfinished. He charged for sealer he never applied and which was the wrong kind anyway. Despite how affable Sullivan is and how really good his "good" workers are - they worked hard and were pleasant - overall this experience left us dissatisfied. We had to engage another contractor to finish. I would never use or recommend Sullivan again.

He showed up initially to secure rapport with us and a good deal of trust. The job was supposed to take 3 to 5 days weather dependent. It has been 3 months. He said he needed 3 additional pallets of pavers. no problem. We gave him cash for the material and never heard from him again. He started the job. and graded the 700 square feet around our pool. He then ripped out our fence and disappeared. He is not dead. He is not at a funeral. He is a dishonest b******* artist. Sully, you will pay me back!! I will get my money. I guarantee it. yes sir. You are screwing with the wrong guy. Minus the labor and materials delivered to date (approximately 2500 dollars worth) he owes us 4500.00 as in four thousand five hundred dollars. We trusted him and he violated us and our trust. He was the only "contractor" to show up and give us an estimate. There is no work in the U.S??? B*******. These contractors don't want to work unless they get something for nothing. I plan on doing everything myself from this point forward. My testimony, as stated above, will be presented to a judge in the court of jurisdiction in St. Johns County (St. Augustine) Florida.

They are easy to work with. They seem to be very competent and they did the work in a prompt and professional manner.
