Description of Work: Redid my whole electrical panel

Description of Work: After hours electrical emergency call for my main breaker tripping and being hot

Description of Work: Contacted Smith to have them remove and replace three outside carriage lanterns and an outside fixture over the front door. We also wanted them to look at a covered box on the lanai that was never used by the prior owner. Mike called about twenty minutes prior to arrival and was right on time. Pleasant, friendly and professional. I showed him the new fixtures and where they were to be installed and the work began, Old fixtures were removed and taken away, new fixture were unboxed and installed very quickly and neatly. We then went to the box on the lanai and Mike took a look and asked if there were any unused switches in the house. I showed him one in the master bedroom and another in the breakfast area. Mike went back to the box and asked me to turn each switch on and off when he asked. What that indicated was that neither switch supplied power to the box in question. When he looked around the outside on the house he noticed that there were no flood lights just covered boxes, so we went through the on/off again and he said those switches are wired to the flood lights. At that point he said we need to set up another appointment as I'll need someone in the attic to trace the wires for that outside box. I agreed and said I have the new fixture and he said he would install it now. We set the new appointment and Mike came back with Robert who drew the short straw and got to go up in the attic. Again very pleasant, friendly and professional. The two talked, Robert went to the attic and they did trace the wire only to find that it had been dropped down a clean wall in the living room. I said that there is a switch in the family room that was for the ceiling light but that is now on the same switch as the fan and a remote, they said great and took a look. With Robert in the attic and Mike working on the connections in the light and fan box we now have a light on the lanai. There is no doubt we will use Smith Electrical again and would certainly recommend them. As I said, on time, friendly and professional. |

Description of Work: Hook up and change a 110 amp wire to a 240 amp for a hot water heater.

Description of Work: I had four fans that needed to be installed. The electrician installed the fans for me.
