From the interaction with the estimator through completion of installation, Powell employees were thoroughly professional. The estimate was clearly explained to us. The installation crew worked steadily and responded to our questions knowledgeably. Clean up was impeccable. We have exactly the right system for us - no more, no less. There was no sales pressure. No games such as one company played—raising the asking price and then offering a discount if we purchased within two days.

I have been dealing with Powell HVAC for 19+ years. They are professional, prompt and experts. They have had most of the same employees for those 19 years. Their people do not leave Powell HVAC. David Stewart and Brad did an excellent, quick and clean installation of my UV system today. I will NEVER deal with another HVAC company!

Very smoothly done. Highly professional team. David was the lead installer. Cleaned up afterwards. Had a concern the next day and they came immediately and spent 2 hours checking everything again. Nothing was malfunctioning but they adjusted the s stage operation to reduce the humidity early in the cooling cycle. They even checked the heat strip functions on a 95 degree day. I use Powell exclusively for HVAC.... they provide for a labor and parts warranty for 10 years and up to 12 ears for one brand unit. Great job David.

It went great!!! The technician was at the house within a couple of hours, was very knowledgable and fixed everything! The price was great too! I even used the Angie's List Coupon posted on the site. I still have 1 maintenance job left for the home as I purchased 2 for the year.

We have a service contract with them. The cost of the visit was included in the service contract. I don't really have any comparison on cost but I don't have any problem with it. I was talking to them about fixing a problem with the bedroom, which didn't seem to get enough air, so they went in at no charge and analyzed the problem and told me what it would take to fix it. And then, in my mind, went above and beyond the call of duty and said if you put this off for three months, it'll be cheaper because it'll be Winter and we don't get as much calls for work at that time and we lower our rates.

I am very happy with the cost and installation I received from Powell. My estimate was not bloated with extra costs and I was not pressured into any one brand of unit. Installation went very smooth and technicians were friendly and professional. My new ac runs cold and quiet and has an excellent warranty. I chose a 2 stage heat pump for extra comfort and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Out of all the estimates I received locally, Powell was the only one not to add numerous and expensive line item costs. I feel they are honest and won't hesitate to recommend them to others.

We're just kind of in the maintenance stage; they're scheduled to come again in about a month or so. We're very happy with them. We had another company and I can't remember the name; we did not like them. They were like rank amateur. They were out of Jacksonville - I don't remember the name. That's why we switched to using Powell. We bought a whole new unit and everything and just very happy with Powell. It took probably two days to complete the work. Everything was fine; had no problems whatsoever.

Very well. Andrew gave us an estimate and the installers were great. We needed before, during and after pictures for our files, especially since an insurance claim.

Very responsive - took down details carefully during initial call, repairman (Jeremy) was out first thing the next morning. Cleaned drain lines, installed new float switch in upstairs unit. Jeremy was courteous and professional and offered helpful advice. Costs were explained up-front. I would recommend this company and will use them again in the future if needed.

They're very responsive. I would use them again without a doubt. I had to call them a couple of times for a breakdown and they were out here quickly. They analyzed the problem very quickly. They were very fair on the pricing considering they were out here at night time.

Donald explained everything as he went along. Found a leak in the coil and explained my options. Ended up putting in refrigerant as a short term fix while I decide on how to proceed. Donald was very nice and knowledgable and I would definitely use this company again.

They came out, responded right away and take care of things and I have to make them come back again just to double check everything. They were definitely good and did their job well. We have no problem with them. I would use them again in the future.

The service was fine. They came out and gave an estimate for a new hvac system. They were prompt and provided me with a thorough written estimate.

They were honest on their pricing. Extremely business like, but very customer friendly. They were the only one that checked all the fixtures with the inside unit. They were extremely thorough they took their time on the units.

My A/C unit started leaking water all in my garage floor. I called them after reading reviews on here. The lady answering the phone was very nice and professional. They were able to schedule me in the same day. Upon arriving, the tech found that the drain line was merely clogged. He then explained that their service call fee is $89 plus around $60 to clean the drain line, but, they have an annual contract program that includes two service calls a year to clean and tune up the unit and that this clearing would be included in that if I wanted to just sign up for the program. It was $159. So for $10 extra dollars he not only cleared the clog, but also completely serviced the unit and will come again in six months. I found this to be above and beyond as they could have easily charged me $149 and then marketed the service program to me later. I am very impressed and was very satisfied with the the entire experience.

Hot sunny Florida afternoon and the air stopped working. The house was on its way up to 90+ degrees in the house. Called Powell at 4:30, was assured a technician would be out as soon as possible as everyone was already on a job. After an hour and a half I called back and got the answering service. That service provider was very attentive and said he would send a message to the technician with an urgent message. Within 30 minutes I receive a call from Dan apologizing that he had not called me back. He had been in an attic and he was on his way to my house. Dan arrived, quickly took a look at the heat pump unit and efficiently eliminated items that could be causing the problem. He explained everything he was doing and found the source of the issue. The blower control board was not energizing the blower. He had the part and replaced it. He checked the rest of the unit as well as the condenser on the side of the house. I found a coupon on the company's website for $50 off repair and he mentioned it as well. The service fee for coming out and diagnosing the problem was $99. They are not cheap. But this company answers calls 24/7 and they do not charge an emergency rate. Dan was great. He was a nice gentleman. That is not always easy to find these days. I recommend Dan, great example of a quality person you may need to know in a pinch.

Nick was great. Very knowledgeable about HVAC systems in general and helpful in offering choices based upon our budget. He was very responsive to my questions and patient when I asked for additional quotes and a change of brands. His background of previously being a technician gave him insight into diagnosing some existing problems, which were corrected by the install crew. Robert, Artie and Donald (the install crew) were great as well. They were efficient, professional, and courteous. They draped stairwell carpets with big blankets and wore protective booties over shoes when walking on the carpeting. They corrected the the duct work on the old air handler, which was wrong from the moment the house was built 16 years ago. When the job was done, they left absolutely no trash from the huge task that was completed. Robert was the lead technician working on the 5-ton unit, while Artie focused on the 1.5 ton unit. Both were extremely adept at their jobs, so it shows that Powell has highly qualified employees doing their installs. Donald did a very good job working on the outside units for both systems. I didn't know this until the job was done and I remarked that I didn't recall them leaving for lunch, but they worked straight through to get the job done - on one of the hotter days we had in May! I would definitely have brought out snacks or cold watermelon or something if I knew, as they were the kind of folks that you just feel comfortable around. Thanks for your hard work, guys! The followup Quality Check visit two weeks later was equally satisfying. David was punctual and eager to hear any questions I had after using the new systems. He squared away a couple minor loose ends that needed to be finished, and also adjusted the air handler's fan speed to match our family's usage (which is why this visit is scheduled a week or two out, so we can learn how the new system runs relative to the old one). He also provided additional details on the programmable thermostat, which was helpful. Overall an excellent experience, and I am glad we chose Powell for our HVAC needs!

It was fine. They were quick and they worked independently because it was a vacation rental and they got it done. I haven't had any problem with it since. They were very friendly.

Dan was super, He came out on a weekend, very quickly. He was very polite, wore shoe covers, was careful and spent time talking with us We were very pleased. My Husband called them with a question on the weekend and they called back and were very responsive.
