Overall Neligan did a great job replacing our roof at a very competitive price. The project didn't go without issue though. In dealing with a certain sales rep who was a bit of a 'space-case' the wrong shingles were ordered (similar name, big difference in look) and put on half of our roof before we noticed. They had to order the right shingles and replace the ones they had already put on which delayed the project two days. They were however very professional about it and took care of it without question or a cent more in price.

The service went well. They were exceptional. They made sure to keep me informed about the job progress and were very pleasant to work with. They were very considerate of my situation. They made sure to clean up every night before they left. I appreciated that they did not leave my surroundings awry during the work. I got three quotes and out of the three they gave me a competitive quote but I chose them due to their willingness and personability.

Re-designed and replaced decking. Replaced damaged cedar shingle siding. Replaced all windows.

Wow.. I so badly wanted to give a good review, and I'm being generous with my "D" ratings on puntucality and responsiveness. I got a quote on 10/31/2013 and agreed to it that day because I was told the job would be done in a week or two. Several weeks later the roofing was done only (for most part, the quote said they'd seal the roof in areas where the soffits returned into the roof angles but that part wasn't done). I had asked to have it scheduled because of my dogs and work schedule, but the man just showed up one day to work. The work appears to be water proof, I was told on the quote the colors might not match, but not that the thickness would be different and the job would look the way it turned out. Several phone calls to the office later and I got a call from a very nice man named Larry, that apologized for the lack of communication. He came out the very next day and within 2 days finished the job, this was in December. I had been told by Will that he'd come back and do something to tie the roof tiles in, and seal the spots on the roof that weren't done. I've been gone for 2 weeks, but don't see a difference in the roof. I emailed days ago to see if they've finished up and haven't gotten a call back. The workers themselves were all very professional in how they conducted themselves, but be carful if you want a quick job and good communication...that was all very disappointing. They did agree to subtantially reduce my bill, due to the fact that the interior work actually done was far less than the quoted work, after I pointed it out - so that part is positive. I wrote the check today not because I'm convinced the final work was done, but because I need to movve on from this. My 2 week project turned into one about 12 weeks long, and the communication wasn't good at all. Sorry :(

Difficult to have requested work written into contract.

Slight miscommunication on first day when crew didn't arrive. I called and owner was extremely good about handling the problem. He sent a new fellow to assess damage and give me quote that same afternoon. They called ahead the next morning and arrived as promised. The crew was 1 roof man and 1 carpenter. They were very nice and proficient and even explained how they were going a little beyond what was necessary to insure the problem would not reoccur. I really appreciated having the expertise of a carpenter to do the fascia and soffet work.

They were good. In fact, they were excellent in their quote and they were professional. I didn't use them. I haven't used them. I will consider using them. They were prompt. Their quote was in the ballpark. It's up to me. I got to make my mind up. They were very good. They answered the questions I asked.

Team came and tore off roof. We had both shingle and aluminum roofing. And we had shingle on shingle and aluminum on aluminum. It was tough work but they got it done and uncovered considerable rot and damage that I saw. House was built in 1910 so this was expected. Repairs were completed professionally and timely. The team was cordial and extremely hard working. They completed work in less than a week, even though this roof required a lot of work in the tear down and the installation. Repairs were made at charges agreed to up front. Everything went smoothly and at times it seemed that the owner had an army on the roof getting the work completed. This was a smooth and professionally completed job. My hats off go to Brian Neligan, the owner who followed up to make sure all went well. Brian is a businessman who says what he means and means what he says. He gets it done within budget and within the time frame set. I couldn't be happier with the new roof.

We didn't go with the house, but not because of their service. The estimate was free of charge. He was punctual, professional, and thorough. He got us the report we needed very quickly, and let us know which issues in the house would be cheaper to do ourselves.

Neligan had installed a new roof on my previous residence (8577 Heather Run Dr N) and also did some major structural repairs as part of this and it worked out great. If I would have hired just a roofer they would not have been able to do the structural repairs. Their drywall guy is really good and did a great job. That is the reason I decided to hire them to do the remodeling in my new house. I am also getting skylights installed by them. I really enjoy working with them.

They are excellent and reliable. I did end up calling them back because I thought I had a leak. They checked it again for me even though there were no leaks. They did the checks free of charge and they were very polite about it.

I called Neligan Construction & Roofing based solely on their review on Angie's List. The entire process from getting an estimate through the completion of the work was an absolute dream!! Mike Googe came out to give us an estimate which was lower than any of the other 3 we got. He explained to us exactly what the process would entail and what it was going to cost. The Office Manager, Sherri, actually came out to my 92 year old father's home to notarize his signature on the forms to get the permits. Exactly as Mike had explained, the permits were obtained and the work was scheduled. They said it would start on Wednesday or Thursday of the same week. Mike called on Tuesday to say they would have to start on Thursday because of weather. The work was done in a timely fashion and Sherri sent us the invoice. The next day, she called to say she had forgotten to include a 5% Senior Discount (that we actually knew nothing about) which reduced the total price by $354. What a wonderful surprise for us!! Sheri even offered to come back to my father's house to deliver the Wind Mitigation form for a homeowners insurance discount. I will absolutely use Neligan again and refer them to everyone I can. Great service. We have a neighbor who used a different company that put up their roof in one day and you can already see ripples. We feel very comfortable that we received a quality roofing job.

They were prompt in showing up and professional. Also prompt in answering questions and providing estimate. Another company which also has received A ratings did come in with lower estimate ($1,500.00 less) which we thought was significant but primary reason we went with other company is due to time frame we are working within. We needed to get the job started as soon as possible and other company was available to do the work at an earlier date. We would have no problem using Neligan for their other services (Construction) and not at all dissatisfied with any service they offered.

After a couple of communication hiccups, the contractor was very responsive in providing 2 alternatives for repairs. The less expensive option was chosen. The workers acted professionally and provided exceptional service. With the first hard rain, they called to make sure our roof was not leaking. It was not! I would recommend this contractor and found the reviews provided on Angie's list guided us in making the right direction.

I liked him. He would have glowing reports from me. He did the job and he was on time. I think I had talked to him about another job. I liked the way that he gave me a nice written estimate of what this job would be. It was just about what he said. That's why I chose him over anybody else. The pricing was very good. I would use them again in the future.

Small leaks are difficult to trace as where the water shows up is usually not the origin point of the leak. Neligan was very persistent in their task. They were hard working, courteous and respectful. They cleaned up behind themselves.

They came in the am with an estimate and returned that afternoon to start working. They brought back three guys and finished the job in just a short time.

I made initial call. Responder said someone would contact me soon. Someone called back 3 days later after initial call. Set appointment for Monday. Called on Monday and said he was tied up and could he come on Tuesday. No problem. Came on Tuesday and evaluated the situation. He stated he would call with an estimate the next day and I never heard from him again. He was a nice guy when he came to see what needed to be done but no follow up contact is very bad..

The extremely pleasant estimator came over and discussed our problem, then came up with a solution. When the roofers came down from Georgia, they refused to do the job the way they were told to do the job because they said it wouldn't work. Then, back at the shop, the roofers , the estimator, and the owner all had a lengthy conference discussing the problem with our roof, and came up with another step to add to the job. The roofers then came back and fixed the leak using the extra step. I was very impressed with the professionalism and honesty and good workmanship of all concerned. The leak is now fixed and I have a warranty on the work. I have been recommending this company to every one I talk to because I was so impressed by their honesty and professionalism.

He was timely and made sure the job was done quick although we were having a lot of rain since he knew we were on time frame to get the work done to pass the FHA inspection for the buyer to close on the property. I would definitely use and recommend them in the future. His price was reasonable and fair and he even went out again when another problem came up that needed attention and fixed the rotten rafter for 90.00 . Awesome company and will fax you a proposal first for approval and then go and do the job. No hidden fees or costs everything up front.

Jimmy Scott made an appointment to come out to inspect the problems, showed up at the specified time and provided pictures of the problem areas. We agreed on the price and he said he would get it scheduled. Jimmy called the next morning to say they could do the work that day. The work was done in a reasonable time and Jimmy provided pictures of the completed repairs. I expect that I will use Neligan for all future roofing needs.

Mike Googe was great and very professional. Showed up on time, took pictures of roof area for use in explaining our issue and went over the various options to fix. Scheduled the work for the very next day. Very pleased with the total experience Highly recommend Neligan
