From start to finish, Brian Neligan and his employees were top-notch. They were on-schedule, and performed all work professionally and with great respect for our home and yard. The reroof was done in a timely fashion, and it looks terrific. There was good follow-up, to make sure we were satisfied. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting roofing or construction work done.

The first day, they laid tarps around the whole house to catch debris being careful to protect our bushes. They tore off the old roof. No boards needed to be replaced. They totally cleaned up after themselves. The yard was as they found it before they began. The second day, they placed down the new shingles in the color we selected. Everything was clean when they left. The workers were courteous, friendly and professional. This was just a basic reroof but the work done was fast and professional. The only thing they could have done differently would have been, I would have liked to be informed when they were done so I could have looked at their work while they were still here. I did receive a call later from the owner to make sure all the work was done properly and to our satisfaction. We were having a screen room added at the same time the roof was being reroofed, that required putting on a new roof. The only glitch we had was they forgot to put in one of the stack pipes in the new section of roof, so it had to be put in after the roof was finished. This made me a little unhappy having to redo some of the brand new roof, but they were eager to make things right and they did a great job. We also had an 300 square foot engineered roof that was coated with a Silicon product. This roof leaked after a torrential rain and they immediately came out and resealed all the edges. The room roof is perfect now, even during heavy rain storms. Brian, the owner, is a man of integrity and can be counted on to stand by his work and his company.

Our roof was originally installed by a very inferior roofing company in 2010. Since the very first rain drops fell after it's installation we've had leaks in multiple areas of the house. After several years of back and forth with the original roof company we finally had enough and decided to get another company to fix it. After having several other local companies come out to give us quotes on the repairs we decided to go with Neligan to fix our house. Their price was fair, right in line with other quotes we received, but what set them apart was their willingness to explain why our roof was leaking and exactly what they would do to correct it. Will wrote the quote and didn't seem to mind answering our barrage of questions about the process. Once we decided to go forward with the repairs, they sent Josh out to double check everything to ensure that there would be enough materials available at the job site so that we wouldn't need to wait on that while our house was open to the elements. Josh explained again everything that was going to happen during the repair process of the roof and replacement of the siding. It was a two day job and he asked if it would be ok to leave the trash and unused supplies neatly piled out of the way in our backyard. It was refreshing to have a contractor actually show respect to the homeowner and not just assume that it would be ok to leave their trash and materials where they wanted to. After the job was completed, I could find no evidence that there had been anybody working in our backyard and on our roof. The siding replacement was done so well that unless it's pointed out where the repairs were they are completely unnoticeable. The match of the angles of the siding and the color of the paint is flawless. I've also never personally seen a contractor take so much care to clean up after themselves once the job is finished. Even with the repairs to the roof and an entire wall of siding coming down, there wasn't a single nail, grain of sawdust, or anything left on the ground or roof. Josh took much care to ensure that we fully understood what work had been done and what exactly we were paying for. Josh even came back out on a Sunday afternoon to finish collecting the debris that would not fit in his truck on the day he finished. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and with that, we do have several photos of the before, during and after of the job available.

I liked him. We did have some problems with it again but they were honest and came back again.

Top notch. Will definitely use again. Technician knew exactly what he was doing. Did great job. Gave us quote on Monday & did work on Wednesday. Can't beat that.

This was my second experience with this contractor and in both cases the was professionally done on time. The price was also reasonable.

There was a brief miscommunication during the processs, but all in all did a wonderful job and would recommend to anyone.

Great work, very happy. THis was the most professional of the companies I got estimates from. It was also the most expensive but well worth it. THey promptly gave me estimates for everything and stayed within estimates. Additional repairs for items found during the course of the work were billed separately. They upgraded my roof to hurricane standards and installed new shingles. They also replaced old skylight with new dual paned one. They gave me insurance paperwork to get credits. While repairing wood they found rot around chimney. THis led to chimney repairs. Separately I had them replace some wood siding. WHen pulling it off they found termite damage underneath. They replace all the wood supports underneath including the load bearing beam. The garage door was in bad shape and I took the opportunity to change that out. The roof was about $13000, the chimney about $1500, the siding $500, and the garage repairs about $3500. They generally started work promptly and completed the work in a timely fashion. The workmanship looks good. I'm not in the area and received pictures for all the work. The owner was very responsive to my questions.

The gutters and roof look and work great and no leaks.

Neligan construction's guy "Ed" came out to price the job and promised "New Gutters" off the record several times as an extra perk to the job. After I hired them, they used a contractor named Bill Johns to complete the work. First of all, the wrong windows were ordered, in which I have to admit, they made right by not charging me. On the other hand, it took several weeks to get the job done, they had to re-paint and fix multiple items. They found some termite damage in the process of repairing the siding which affected the drywall inside the house. They recommended I just hire their contractor Bill Johns to complete the inside work knowing full well he had absolutely no finishing experience. Drywall, windowsills and texturing needed to be done. After multiple complaints, their rep "Ed" finally came out and fixed the sills. The drywalled areas will need to be scraped, sanded and re-textured by me. Overall, it was a shoddy job, incomplete and I never saw the gutters.

One of he nicest people I have ever working with on house repairs. Will came out and gave us an estimate and had the work done that afternoon. I asked him how much it would be to get a few of the pine needles off the corner of the roof and he said no charge. While he was up on the roof he found another shingle that was coming off so he also replaced that one too. I would highly recommend this company for their professionalism, honestly and great work!

We couldn't be happier with this contractor from the bidding process through final completion of gutter installation. Interviewed 4 roofing contractors from recommendations on Angie's list. Brian Neligan, by far, was the most thorough in discussing options, differences in underlayments, shingles, roof venting, etc. He patiently assuaged any concerns I had regarding "peel & stick" products and roof warranties. I had done fairly extensive research before and after selecting a contractor. Everything Brian discussed was backed up by the research and contradicted some information I received from competing bids. Sherri, in the office was prepared to submit all the necessary paperwork to the owners architectural review board for job approval. I had already completed this task, required by my neighborhood, but I thought it was a great service to offer. Very important to us was choosing a contractor that would return our calls and keep us informed if work was going to be delayed due to weather, etc. Neligan Construction was excellent in that regard. Some competitors, didn't even return calls when I had asked for an explanation regarding part of their bid. We were given addresses in the local area where the quality of their work could be checked and shingle color viewed under normal lighting on a entire home. It was a tremendous help in deciding on the shingle to be used on our roof. Weather was a factor during the start of the job. They went out of their way to insure we were not left vulnerable to the heavy rains that interrupted work. (we experienced NO leaks!) Two great foreman, Josh and Robert, had their crews starting on time every day. They respectfully answered any questions or concerns I presented. Brian Neligan came by almost every day. He updated me on the progress of the job and answered questions. At the end of each day, and at job completion, a thorough clean up was accomplished. I had my parents roof replaced a few years ago and the clean up was significantly better than the contractor we used for their roof. After the roof was completed, we also contracted to have our existing gutters replaced and upgraded. Hampton and Rich, did an excellent job working with a bad architectural design to help route the flow of water off of our roof. The final result were gutters that esthetically looked much better and functioned much more efficiently. The contract was true to the final invoice for work completed. No hidden fees were inserted in the final billing. To the contrary, Brian performed some work that he easily could have included, but didn't. I guess the bottom line is, you usually get what you pay for. Some bids were more competitive on price, but when you take into account, quality, doing what you said you were going to do, showing up on time, and keeping the customer informed, you can't go wrong if choosing Neligan Construction & Roofing.

Brian Neligan came out personally and did the estimate early in the summer. After he went on the roof and inspected, he sat with me at the kitchen table and reviewed what would be done, and explained differences in the shingles. Because of family travel, we delayed the installation until we were back in town (early Sept). We got 3 other estimates, and this one was the most complete. One of the other estimates was over $5000 more expensive and did not include using the peel and stick under the shingles (as had been recommended by a home inspector who had done an inspection in 2011). We weren't sure what color to go with, so Sherri emailed me some local addresses so we could go and look at the color on some other homes that they had one. This was very helpful and allowed us to make our final decision. They started on Tuesday Aug 26th due to rain on Monday and had hoped to be done before Labor day, but they didn't finish until the Wednesday after Labor day. I think they had planned to have another crew help out but they didn't come on one of the days due to another job. It wasn't a problem for us having it take a few extra days. Each day they cleaned up the site and we found no nails in the driveway or anywhere else. Brian came and helped finish up on the last day. I had asked several of the roofers about looking into the attic ventilation above our bonus room as it gets so hot in the summer. When Neligan's crew removed the current vent, Brian himself looked down and could see that the insulation was essentially blocking any air flow intake - an option would be to re-do the insulation that would have opened up the flow but that would have been very expensive so we opted to try a solar fan. It wasn't too costly to add to the project. After they were done, we received the wind mitigation paperwork and photos very quickly that I could just email directly to our home insurer. This was very helpful. Sherri and the other office staff were very helpful throughout the process. I think you can tell a lot about a business from the office staff because a good team starts from the top. We have had several compliments on the roof from neighbors (we went with Sand Dune, a corning product that compliments out home color). We would definitely recommend Neligan to others considering re-roofing.

They were prompt and courteous. Even though it was a small job, they scheduled it quickly. They showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner.

I am very pleased with the work completed. Larry Roe, Richard Felei, Hampton Miller, and the rest of the crew were great. They were all very polite and answered all my questions. Every project was completed quickly and they cleaned up after themselves. I will definitely hire them again and would recommend their services to friends and family.

They guy came out and took care of the chimney cap. He was really nice. The company is awesome. The people in the office were really nice also. I had no complaints. They were very responsive and made sure I was completely satisfied with the job.

True professionals from estimate to follow up service. Stuck to the estimated price even with follow up work required and a few additions to the plan. Hampton and Richard were courteous and professional during the install and made sure to complete a thorough walk around with us at the end to ensure our happiness. As luck would have it, there was a rainstorm the night they finished. We saw some areas that needed some attention and they came back the next day to fix the problems. Excellent service and workmanship. Highly recommended.

Will climbed onto my steep roof and sealed the 2 problem areas. He was gracious enough to check the remaining vents to ensure no problems now or in the immediate future. He was very thorough and took extra time to explain what had happened, gave me his opinion and my roof's life expectancy. I would absolutely use this company again.

It was completed in a week, other homes on both sides of us took longer. Answered all question timely the president of the company answered all of my question. All business and they cleaned up after themselves everyday, they used magnets to get all the nails. About five to six crew member to complete the job. They good and my husband is very happy with this company.

I couple of months ago I found this contact on Angie's list. I called and left a voice mail for someone to call me back and no one did.

They opened up the roof to put in white skylight. They did their best to match it but of course they couldn't match it very well but other than that I can say that it's a great job. It took them three days. The younger boy, he wasn't quite as meticulous but other than that he did fine and they're fast in everything. I would use them again in the future.

Brian came out and gave us an estimate. He was very professional and explained everything the job would entail. I went to his office to sign the work order. The office manager Sherry got all my information so she could set up the permits and she called when they could schedule to perform the work. The workers showed up to perform the work on time. The weather allowed them to finish the work in a few days. There was a problem in the master bedroom bathroom. The plumbing was resting on the roof itself and one of the roofing nails punctured the pvc and the ceiling got soaked and fell down dropping insulation all over the place. I just happened into the bedroom and heard a strange sound I thought was the ceiling fan but after I shut the fan off the noise was still there so I walked into the room and saw the ceiling splitting. So I ran outside to cut off the water main. I had the workers come in to look and when we got there the ceiling had totally fallen down on the counter leaving a mess. They took pictures and talked to their boss and the boss said not to worry he would take care of the situation. The workers left to get parts to fix the plumbing and when they returned they fixed it and did a quick cleanup job until they could get a painter in to fix the problem. All in all we were very satisfied with their professionalism and work. They did an excellent job on the roof and gutters and they are highly recommended to anyone else needing roof repairs. If needed again I would not hesitate to call them for other work.

Ed, from Neligan, came to our home and gave us a bid on the work to be done on June 2. I was satisfied with the bid amount. I asked him when they would start and he said within 10 days - which was fine. Four days later two guys showed up and started work on the project. They finished the job in two days and I was very pleased with their work. They were friendly and professional and left the area clean. I do recommend Neligan and would hire them again in the future.
