Brian can be prickly. That said, his people took pride in doing the job right and I believe the quality of the workmanship is excellent.

Responded quickly (call back within 10 minutes, crew on site within 90 minutes) with a reasonable cost, and completed the job in order to stop a leak. I will also be using Nelligan for our roof replacement based on a quote received several weeks ago. We have not begun the re-roof as we may be doing some renovation that may require roofline changes. Brian Nelligan, the owner, responded quickly for my request for estimate. He showed up on time, delivered an estimate less than, or equivalent to others. I will be using him based on his clear explanations of options, products and services, his tenure in business and excellent reviews. I will also leave a follow up review once the re-roof is complete.

They were amazing! Did everything they said they would do, showed up on time, and finished early. I am planning to use them for other work.

Wonderful from start to finish. I was very impressed with Mr Neligan (owner). The crew was very polite, good attitude, cleaned up every day before they left, thoroughly checked for nails and escorted me around. Very prompt arriving each day, conscientious, and worked efficiently straight through until the job was finished. Time will tell in the long term but I have all indications they did a great job

The estimator came and quickly determined the problem. He then showed me photos and explained the work that would need to be done and provided me with an estimate on the spot. We schedule the work and we were very pleased with the work that Juan did in repairing the damage and properly re-flashed the chimney and the roof cricket. When he was finished he showed the pictures of the fine work he had done. After a fall storm dropped over 10" of rain in 24 hours and no more leaks, I knew the job was done right. I just wish the previous owner had use Nelligan when they replaced the roof several years ago, because if Nelligan had done the job, it would have been done right the first time.

With the heavy rain this fall we discovered a new place for water to get into our attic. Nelligan had done a previous repair for us and were prompt we get their estimator out to look at the roof. He quickly found the problem and gave me a reasonable estimate for the work. I was glad to see Juan was sent to do the repair, as he had done a great job on a previous roof leak repair. He did not let me down the work was done quickly and our roof is leak proof again. As I said in my previous post... I wish previous owner had used Nelligan to re-roofed the house. If they had it would have been done right the first time and I would not have had to make these repairs.

Neligan roofing was amazing. My roof was literally falling apart on my back porch. Structurally, it was not built with enough pitch to warrant shingle roofing which was what they previous owner had installed. Needless to say, it was destroyed by water damage. The estimate received was not the lowest but it was the most fair and I felt it was not a "scam" that I was offered by other roofing companies. I GREATLY appreciated the fact they did not try to pressure me into trying to re-roof my entire house as did other companies. I felt they were the most professional, offered the best product and got the work done on time and exactly as estimated. I will use them for any future roofing issues and highly recommend their services.

Brian Nelligan, the owner, addressed all my concerns and made all the repairs. I was very impressed with how quickly he responded. He cares about his business and is a man of integrity. My initial review I stated that I would not hire him again. I have done a complete reversal. It seems he had some issues with the crew that worked on my house initially. The crew he sent this time was very professional and did the job right. Thanks Brian. I am impressed and will send business your way.

Went very well. He took photos while on the roof to explain, in detail, the condition of my roof. While on the roof, he made a few minor repairs, did some caulking, and spray painted a rusty exhaust vent.

My daughter thought she had a roof leak, due to seeing stains on the ceiling. She called Neligan and they called back quickly with options for a time they could come by. They graciously worked around her schedule and came out 2 days later. He took a look at where the leaks were showing up inside the house and quickly got on the roof. He checked out the entire roof to see if there were any problems, didn't find any so he went in the attic to double check. He didn't find any issues with the roof, but told her that the AC duct work was wet from condensation. I was thankful he was honest with her and didn't make up a problem just to get a contract. She was pleased with his professionalism and I know that if the need ever arises for a roof repair or replacement, Neligan will be the first company we call.

After looking at the reviews on Angie's List I called Neligan Construction & Roofing out for a free estimate on a roof repair. I had another company attempt to repair the leak twice. After I was given an estimate Lee came out and replaced a bad roof vent. He was punctual, professional, and a true expert at his trade. The price was fair to finally solve the mystery with this leak. I highly recommend Lee and Neligan Construction. Great experience all around. Next time I'll call these guys 1st.

Brian Neligan came out the same day I made a frantic call when a vent in my ceiling leaked. He took several pictures, and explained exactly why this was a roofing issue. His opinion, which included the offer to make emergency repairs right away for free if I planned to do a complete re-roof with his company, was so appreciated. I had to do an obligatory estimate with another company, and when they came out, it was like night and day. That person said I had no such damage, and couldn't offer me any repair work, claiming it was an A/C issue, even after I said that the leak continued when it was pouring, stopped when the rain stopped, and started when it rained again. ANYWAY, I went with Neligan, and they sent someone that very day to perform repairs, AFTER HOURS. ON A FRIDAY. Lo and behold, it rained that night. And it rained all weekend. And my ceiling is bone dry. What a FABULOUS job his roofer did on the repair!! And fast! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I plan to write another review when my brand new roof is installed.

Dealt with them a couple of years ago, but needed additional work. They must have been pretty good then for me to go back to Nelligan's. Will is no longer with the company, but Mike came out and took pictures. A week later, still waiting on that estimate. Didn't think it would take that long for an estimate. Must be in the mail.

Called and left message during work hours. No one ever returned call. Expected more from such a highly rated provider.

Our expectations were met and exceeded. This company provided an excellent service. The job was done in the timeframe promised. They even ran into problems with unexpected rot on the roof boards, replaced with new wood and still finished on time. The crew was very respectful of our family and great clean up at the end of the job.

We contracted Neligan Construction for a job they estimated would take 2-3 days in December. On the day it was supposed to be completed in December, I called and the guy in charge of the job said they were just wrapping up and would be done that day. Unfortunately, it was May before they finished and only after many repeated calls, photos, emails, and days off of work to address the incomplete or inferior quality repairs, such as painting over rotten wood multiple times. Thankfully we carefully inspected their work because sometimes the wood siding repair would look ok from a distance, but then if you touched it your finger would go through the rotten wood. In places on the roof, rotten wood was painted over or repairs were not painted at all. Our back porch light was left installed crooked and held by only one screw. We kept receiving invoices and being told the work was done, only to find that when we climbed on our roof or inspected our patio to double check it, they had not been completed or had been done improperly. I called and begged for Mr. Neligan to oversee the crew himself since two sets of workers had already done improper repairs for months but he would not come out until I took yet another day off of work to monitor the work myself as I no longer trusted them to be on my property unaccompanied. At that point the repairs were completed and the poor quality repairs were corrected. Overall, it was an extremely frustrating experience that required me to meet them at the house numerous times, time off of work, and lots of time documenting and emailing photos of the improper repairs. I have included some photos of "finished work" they invoiced us for that took months to resolve. I'm glad we checked their work carefully before paying them or we would not have known the repairs were improperly done time after time.

Extremely professional and courteous. Called to say he was running a little late and, as mentioned above, took his time to see what the job would entail instead of just quoting us to get the work.

When the time came for my wife and I to put a new roof on our old beach house, we knew we wanted Neligan Construction & Roofing to do the work. Over the years Brian Neligan has done several small repair jobs for us and we have always been satisfied with the results. He has earned our respect and trust. Brian is the best kind of businessman. His knowledge of all aspects of construction and roofing is exhaustive. He is particularly good at explaining what the job involves, what the options are, and what they cost. And his bids are accurate, on the mark. Our new roof is up, as of a week ago, and we are happy with it, as we knew we would be. Everything good that others have said about Neligan Construction & Roofing is true. Brian signs his name to every job he does, by which I mean: he stands behind the work his men do. We have recommended Brian to friends who have used him too, and they say the same good things about him that we do.

It went very Well. Brian had his Best Crew out there Day One and they didn't miss a beat. This house was built in 1990 and back then they constructed homes in 60-90 days. Quality and workmanship were secondary to speed. Brian's crew replaced 10-15 OSB Boards on the roof that were rotted or broker thru. They also rebuilt my Chimney and resealed some sky Lights that looked like had leaked and they could be a problem. His Crew Busted their Butts for 3 or 4 days in the Hottest Weeks of the Summer and did a Great Job. It is brutally hot and the toughest conditions to work in that you could imagine......They used Peel and Stick and this roof should be good to go for another 25 years. They cleaned up every day and cleaned the area of Nails and debris. I have NO issue with going onto the roof myself and looking at areas that look like they need to be repaired. Brian and his People took care of the trouble spots without blinking. If it needed fixing, they didn't just cover it up! They fixed it! This is REALLY KEY if you want a GREAT ROOF! It looks great and its always pleasure to work with Brian as he is very smart and knows his stuff and takes GREAT PRIDE in making sure the job is done exactly right. He is working on the Next roof that I need repaired and partially replaced today as we speak and I could NOT ask for a better and more conscientious Roofing Professional. Neligan was prompt with responding and coming out to review the job as well as getting us scheduled. Their whole team was efficient, courteous and professional. I wish we had used Neligan for our complete roof job! I would recommend them for sure.

Brian and His Fine crew- RICH- came about about 2 months after the roof was installed and did the Gutters. Rich is an engaging and Charming MAN who works his A*** off and did a great job on the gutters. He Built Seamless Gutters On Site and the color Match was perfect for the house; We have about 500 feet of Gutters and Additional downspouts and the job was very Involved! It was Bigger than we figured! But, they kept their word and did it right! He finished in the NICK of time as the Skies opened up about 5 minutes after he was done! They worked GREAT! Our ROOF was VERY HIGH (30 feet) and He and a helper did that portion but it came out great. I could not be happier . We have some rental properties that I am already scheduling to have NELIGAN do since I trust him and he doesn't take shortcuts.... It was a longing experience for me. They did a decent job. I don't recall any problems with them. I did have to call them back out one time because there was a small leak, but it went really well. They went back with some caulking. The quality was very good. They weren't the cheapest but it was a good quality.

It was very good. I would use them again.

The job required a great deal of detail work and honestly the first time I saw the completed job I was very unhappy with the results. What won me over was the continued effort to correct all issues until the job was competed with top quality results! The first crew was not up the level of the job and it required a great deal of rework. The company came back four times to completely fix all issues and went as far as reinstalling the copper flashing to ensure it also looked like the top quality job that it was. All team members were very easy to work with and I never got any push back on having to fix issues. I would reuse Neligan again without hesitation because of their commitment to completing the job and satisfying the customer.

The Process Went Great. I liked his crew and they worked very hard. I was ON the Roof with them several times and they did NOT miss any areas that needed to be replaced. It took a week and they finished the day before the skies opened up with Rain. I compared EVERY Good ROOFER that was available and his prices were the BEST and they did NOT shortchange me. No Gimmicks. The ROOF looks great and the Follow up has been excellent.... Could NOT have done much better....
