As a first time homeowner and single parent I was extremely nervous. Made all of my concerns a top priority for them. It wasnt a problem free process to say the least but each issue was immediately addressed and rectified.

Great experience! We purchased a new home from Mattamy in the Dubrin Crossing CDD. We got a 2700 sq. ft. two story home for $259K (@ $95/sq.ft.). When we did the final walk through before closing we brought our real estate agent with us just to have an extra set of eyes on any issues. She brought a role of the blue tape so she could mark any issues. She didn't use it once, she said it was the best walk through she had ever been on and didn't find any issues (stains, missing paint, etc) that you would expect with a new home. Since the closing the Mattamy Warranty department, specifically Mike (the ones that correct any mistakes that were made) has been extremely responsive to any issues that have come up. They did a 30 day walk through, then 6 months, then a final one at 1 year. With these they took care of all the little things that happen to a house over the course of the first year like nail pops, caulking, painting, floor squeaks, etc.. We had one relatively major issue with one of the 2nd floor joists that was causing some separation between the floor and the wall and they actually pulled up the carpet and cut a hole in the floor and reinforced that spot. It was definitely a major issue because the Warranty rep (Mike), the Warranty Manager, and the VP of Construction were all there trying to figure out the problem. They were all extremely professional and were more than happy to fix the issue. We just finished the 1 year walk through and again everything was taken care of with great efficiency and professionalism. We had an independent building inspector go through the house just to confirm that there wasn't any large issues that were hidden like water damage or cracks in the stucco and he confirmed that the house was very well built. My only issue with the house itself is that it's a wood frame house so it's seems less substantial than a concrete block house but that is quite a bit more costly so you get what you pay for. All in all extremely satisfied with Mattamy and especially with their Warranty department and Mike the Warranty rep.
