Everything satisfactory. Would definitely use again for any electrical work. p. s. after city inspection there is some doubt.

Contacted Marvin by phone and told him of the issues at this home which is tenant occupied. He quickly contacted the tenants and was to the home the next day to take care of repairs. He took care of all the issues and replaced two fan/light fixtures that needed replaced. He went to Home Depot down the road for these parts and didn't charge me an excessive cost for the parts or his time. I feel I got great service at a very reasonable price and he took care of my tenants and communcated promptly and well with them which is of utmost importance to me. I will certainly use him again and am very glad I chose him as I feel this may have been a much more expensive repair had a went with one of the bigger electrical outfits with the fancy trucks. I would much rather pay for good service and competance.

Mr. Carter was super nice and easy to talk to - he quickly found the issue(s) and even gave me a tip or two on other electrical questions!

Very pleased, couldn't be happier! Marvin came out when he said he would, fixed what I was hoping was not a big problem as I had been ripped off by a couple of other repair people from other industries and other companies. I breathed a sign of relief when he was done. Very professional and I will use again!

It was horrible being without electricity. However, Marvin Carter was fantastic, very fast, very helpful and very courteous. He didn't charge a whole lot. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and explained things in very simple terms. He explained what to do if we had any other problems and he showed us what was causing the problem. He also explained how to not have other problems with it. His price was very reasonable.

I am highly satisfied with his work, he was very courtesy, came on time, and I believe he charged a low price (but i cant compare the price).

Marvin did a lot of work for me in one day! First of all, he was very easy to get ahold of and very prompt in coming out to give me a quote. He was also able to accommodate me quickly when I moved into my new house and realized I couldn't do any laundry because of an old style electrical outlet. When he came out to do the work, he made sure to have all of the items I needed on hand - including the proper size of bathroom fan to replace my old one (he had guessed the size when he came out to give me a quote). I chose Marvin because he was friendly, knowledgable and affordable. I've already recommended him to several people. Being a new owner of a historic home, I have plenty more jobs for Marvin to do in the future. I'm glad to know him.

Marvin arrived promptly, was courteous and friendly. We would definitely hire him again for our electrical needs. It's good to know that he is a Master Electrician and will be around for a long time.

Mr. Carter arrived at my front door on time and was smiling and cheerful as he introduced himself. He asked me to explain the problem and he listened to me quitly while I did. He went right to work. I heard lots of beeping in the kitchen while he was troubleshooting. He came to me and explained, in terms I could understand, just exactly what the problem was. Who knew a GFI circuit could cause all the problems we were having. Once he received my permission to continue, he went back into the kitchen and removed and replaced the GFI recepticle. After he was done with that, I asked what it would cost to replace my GFI recepticles in the two bathrooms. His response was that it would be a lot less expensive now as opposed to later. and cheerfully changed those out as well. I found him to be pleasant and very professional. His charges for the work performed were reasonable. I would call him again for any other electrical issues.

We called and explained that we had this list of projects but weren't sure if we would be able to do it all at once or have to spread the cost out. We wanted an estimate which would break down the costs so we could decide which to address first. Mr. Carter came out to the house, looked at the various projects and gave us an estimate for each one. The price was so reasonable, and he so clearly knew exactly what he was talking about that we arranged that he would come back and do the entire list. Nothing was urgent, so he told us he would call us to schedule. We ultimately arranged a time the following week. He arrived on the day appointed and got right to work. He worked very quickly, explained very clearly what he was doing, and solved all our various mysteries in a very short space of time. He had all the necessary tools and supplies. The entire task list was accomplished in well under 4 hours. Plus, he was very cheerful and pleasant and willingly added one more task to the list which we had not previously discussed at a very small incremental increase. Our electrical system is now safer with various additional conveniences of switches and outlets where we need them. We could not be more pleased with the quality of the work and with the price and would not hesitate to hire Mr. Carter again.

As indicated, Marvin visited for the estimate and then returned the following week to do the job. In doing the job, he went into the attic to connect and drop the wires for the bathroom wall outlet. He then easily removed ceiling lights and installed the spot lights. Finally, Marvin replaced the malfunctioning ceiling light in the kitchen and in doing so found that the original installation was faulty and, in fact, dangerous. As that was one of three lights nstalled by another contractor, Marvin volunteered to fix the other two at no cost. When requested to place the patio outlets, Marvin again climbed into the attic and performed the service and this one was a bit more challenging but he had the necessary tools and materials to complete the job. We tested the cable TV connections and both appeared to be functioning as expected as so we settled up; unfortunately, I was incorrect and that while one was functioning, the other connection was not. Before departing the job, Marvin indicated that if anything was amiss, to call him and he'd address the issue. Well, when I found the problem with the one cable TV connection, I called Marvin and he promptly made arrangements to visit to look into and correct the problem. He did remedy the issue by making another trip, climbing into the attic, and replacing a part at no charge. Throughout the process, from initial phone call to the second trip, Marvin was friendly, personable, and knowledgable. He performed his work in an efficient and professional manner. I would not hesitate to contact Marvin Carter in the future for electrical work.

The breaker to the A/C was weak. After servicing the A/C, the technician recommended to upgrade the 45 amp breaker to 50 amp.I made several calls to get an estimate on the breaker and was quoted over $120 or so. Found Marvin on Angie's list and called him. He stopped by as scheduled to replaced the amp. His price was very reasonable and he was a very pleasant fellow. I highly recommend him and will call him if I need any electrical work done in the future.

marvin was great! he was prompt and kind...most importantly he was honest. i got another quote for the same tasks for nearly 900.00 and a half a day's work...it seemed a little much so i got another quote...SO glad i did! marvin did the work for 300.00 and completed it all in two hours! he was super nice, neat and seemed to be very genuine. i will definitely have him do any additional electrical work in the future.

Came on time and was through in 30-40minutes Neat professional work., a licensed electrical and a fire fighter who works 24 and off 48 might make a problem if you need him right then and he might be working but well worth the wait if he is working Very happy with his work

Marvin Carter (Master Electrician) arrived happily on a Saturday on time and was extremely professional, polite and worked very fast. The fact that he is willing to work weekends is awesome! Very hard to find a good electrician that will work around your work schedule. He is very dependable and has a and quot;can doand quot; attitude. Marvin changed out two light fixtures for me and evaluated my landscape lighting, investigated the attic and figured out what wiring he would need to do in order to install additional flood lights in the back yard and install 2 additional outdoor lights in the front of the house where currently I do not have any wiring. He gave me an estimate for the additional work I need completed and offered to do the work on a weekend again. YAY!!! I am very pleased and would highly recommend Marvin!

We are in the process of a total house remodel on a newly purchased property so I am dealing with a lot a different contractors. Marvin was very professional and knowledgble. It took a little longer than anticipated however the scope of the work went beyond what I orginally anticipated. Without any complaint or extra money he just got the job done. I would highly recommend him and I am very cautions after bad contractor experiences. I interviewed 4 electricians before making my decision and he was an excellent choice. Final inspection complete without any problems.

Marvin is a fireman and seems to be a very responsible electrician. He's been in the business for 25+ years and does residential, commercial and marine electrical projects. We had an appointment that he missed because he got called to fight the brushfires but was very prompt when we re-scheduled. He was clean, prepared and knowledgeable and was willing to work with me on creative solutions to a couple of lighting problems we had. I would use him again without any qualms.

His name is Marvin Carter. He is licensed. He is also a firefighter and I kind of like that idea. He is very reasonable. He is very professional. He is a licensed electrical contractor and is a maestro electrician. Some friends of mine had him too and they were thrilled. I don't know how much the cost was because it was in the contract for the house. The seller was paying for it. He is scheduled to do some more work for me and he gave me an estimate for $500.00. The price was very fair. My son is an electrical contractor and he can't believe what this guy does for the money.
