Description of Work: install kitchen and master tops

Description of Work: Provider was to provide granite and installation for kitchen renovations. All they actually did was a template and took my money and have yet to actually complete their obligations. Met with them twice in march, paid them 50% deposit on 3/23 after they made phone call to ensure granite i chose was available. They were to secure slabs and hold them until install in May or June when contractor was ready. On 6/10 template was done; on 6/11 i paid the remainder of the amount due. They were to install the following week. On 6/16 they called and said they don't have the granite that i chose on 3/23, and that they wont have it for at least 2-3 more weeks. WHATTTTT? I paid in MARCH to ensure my granite would be ready for install timely. They took the rest of my money the week before. They NEVER told me that my granite wasn't there waiting for the order ALMOST THREE MONTHS EARLIER. Then they sent me all over town looking for the same granite so they could buy it. No one had it, i found another granite that was acceptable and they won't sub it because it costs $10 more per foot (according to wholesaler who has it). They're also unwilling to provide any compensation/discount for the delay in install-- and as of today, they're saying what i chose and paid for will now be another week or two delayed. My contractor reported that they had my slabs but sold them and thought they could replace them in time that i wouldn't know. DON'T USE THEM, they're shady!

Description of Work: Came and measured counter tops, took out back splash, made template, we view granite slab, made our choice, they arrived a week later installed a new garbage disposal for me, installed new counter top, cleaned up beautifully and were very efficient and helpful. Would definitely use them again for bathroom remodeling.

Description of Work: J&J put in my kitchen granite in 2008. Last week, the undermounted sink collapsed and flooded my kitchen etc... When trying to get them to come out, they made it very difficult. They kept saying the warranty was up, which I said repeatedly, I know that, I just need it fixed. They avoided my calls, didn't return calls and the front desk girl was as helpful as a toad, knowing she was on a headset where you could not hear her at all and acting like she had no idea. They their voicemail was full. So FINALLY, when my daughter got hold of someone, they wanted $450 up front to even schedule an appointment. Really!!? Never heard of such a thing but bottom, line another company did the work, did a great job for a reasonable rate and told me that the sink was installed incorrectly to begin with. I'll be doing a positive review on that company!
