Showed up much earlier than scheduled which was great. I wanted to verify that it was working before they left, but the driver had many more calls and I felt rushed. I paid them for the service call and it turned out ok.

This is a new address for me at an old house I just bought. As expected Mark and his crew performed with the highest degree of professionalism, reliability and skill just as they have in past installations over the last ten years. I was glad to see that an earlier reviewer felt the same as I do. We don't even bother to call anyone else. Not a single glitch in the entire operation despite the unique construction and challenges of this cinder block house. Thank you Mark and crew!

Came out promptly to look at a split unit that was not blowing cold. Estimate was $500 less than the nearest price I could get for a 3 tom 15 seer unit (my unit was 13 years old 11 seer). All 3 guys were extremely courteous, prompt, professional, cleaned up etc etc. Would recommend them and will definitely use them again.

I used this company for all of my residential air conditioning needs for over 12 years. They honestly look out for the customer and work to make sure that you get the maximum life out of your unit. I wouldn't call anyone else.

Had a leak of my accumulator on 2001 carrier 1.5 ton 2nd floor unit.needed accumulator replacement and 6 lbs of R22 freon.other locals gave me rip-off quotes.called these guys because of Angies List ratings.Gave me very reasonable quote, came out next day (offered to come same day but I was busy).Did good work, explained everything, showed me old part, explained a bit about my situation, was very personable, clean, professional.And, yes, affordable.Was less than half the cost of the other quotes I had received, which I knew were rip offs after looking up the wholesale pricing online for what I needed. So I am very happy, work was completed quickly, A/C now blowing cold again.He did point out that the unit is unlikely to survive longer than another summer or 2 because of various factors, but I am fine with that.Very pleased overall

They were very responsive and on time. Theirs was the lowest bid. They were very courteous and very dependable. They cleaned up after themselves and didn’t leave any mess. They were great. I just liked them.

This company did a good job fixing my A/C unit. I thought that is might have been a expencive problem. The tech that came out was nice and found that the fan blade had just fallen off. He fixed the fan blade and topped off the coolent. He was fair and honest about the problem. I will use them in the future.

I cannot emphasize enough that this is by far the most professional, competent contractor we have ever hired. We lived in a virtually ocean-front home (built new), which automatically puts a lot of environmental wear and tear on the outside air exchangers. Although he immediately informed us that our builders had made a poor choice in the air units that were installed, he kept both of our air conditioning systems working well for many years beyond what they should have. Before going with this company, we had several other contractors come out with estimates and advice on what to do, and all of them were recommending complete replacement of these three-year-old air conditioning systems. They also completely redesigned our entire duct system since the it was poorly designed by the builder's original contractor and was therefore distributing the air in a very uneven manner. Again, other contractors wanted to completely replace all the duct work, costing thousands of dollars--one contractor even said that it couldn't be repaired and this was what we were stuck with. But Affordable Air charged us a few hundred dollars and completely solved the air distribution problem in just one visit. Eventually, we had to replace both the external air exchangers for this home, and without hesitation we went with Affordable Air to do it. Since we trusted them implicitly, we didn't get additional quotes, but did do our usual chit-chat comparison with neighbors and friends, and replacing both of our two air conditioning systems with ocean-front models cost 3/4 or even 1/2 of the price of friends/neighbors replacement systems, which were not the more expensive ocean-front models. They were always professional, courteous, understanding, and competent throughout all of our dealings with them. I also liked the way the owner of the company would always explain the problem(s) in everyday language, taking the mystery out HVAC and showing me that most of it was just common sense and routine owner maintenance.
