I think the service went well. They came the next day and arrived promptly at 9:00. They had to leave before finishing the job to go get parts and then came back to finish the work. Final work was satisfactory but we have not received a bill as of yet.

I initially called on April 3 ( a Thursday) and was told they couldn't see me till Friday for a free estimate, I was going to be too busy for that so i had schedules the service for Monday morning. But was called back by them and told they could be over today so I agreed. Andy and Cash arrived I showed them the horror show that was my Water heater, and they said they could get a new one installed and what the price would be. Andy asked if i wanted to do it today or tomarrow, i asked if they had the time today and after a quick call to the shop, he said yes. So now thanks to Andy and Cash i have a nice new not leaking water heater. Very professional and very dutiful. Will use again if I have any more plumbing issues.

All work was completed in a timely and professional manner. All stub outs to fixtures were Grade "L" copper and reinforced for stability and all fixtures reconnected. The new main from the street to the house was Schedule 80 PVC burried 18". All PEX connections were expansion joints made using the expensive electric expander vs. the one you have to "pump" (no crimp or clamp connections whatsoever). Believe me, I did my research on materieals, contractors, and methodologies. Andrew and his assistant did a first class job in every aspect. No short cuts taken and no scrimping on materials. Cut dry wall was kept to a minimum and most in locations not normally visible. They do not repair/refinish drywall as this is not customarlly done by plumbers. Uponor makes, arguably, the best residential PEX material and includes a 25 year warranty IF the plumbing contractor has been factory trained and pre-approved by Uponor - and Plumb Crazy Plumbers meets that criteria. A letter of recommendation has been provided to Andy with my contact information if desired. This report and my written recommendation were not solicited by the company and no "rewards" were offered or accepted (which does sometimes happen). Master Plumber certification, license, and insurance were all confirmed as active and valid prior to work commencment. (Note: This review was written by my husband).
Description of Work: Complete re-piping of house using Uponor AquaPEX-a tubing and associated Uponor accessories. Work included replacing/redirecting water main running from street to house, 4 outside spigots (2 additions), 1 outside shower and replaced several existing faucets, shower, and tub fixtures (both trim and brass mixing cartriges). Quoted price included a new 40 gal short boy water heater with expansion tank, drain, and pan (all per code). NOC processed and permit posted per code requirements.

I hired Plumb Crazy Plumbers for a re-pipe project of my home. The project was complex as we had a number of challenges on where our existing plumbing runs in our home. Jeff provided me a proposal and a schedule of the work to be done. They showed up when they said they would, inform me of any issues or delays on the project (eg. Permits), and were very professional and careful with our home. They also kept the cuts in the walls of our home at a minimum, which saved us a lot of money in refinishing the drywall. All the work that we discussed was done within the budget and they answered all my many questions regarding PEX and installation/maintenance of the new plumbing system. I only had one very small issue at the end of the job (Washing machine HOT/COLD feed was switched). Their team came out and correct the problem promptly. I would recommend Jeff and Andrew of Plumb Crazy again for a re-pipe or any other large plumbing job.
Description of Work: The performed a re-pipe project of our home. This included re-plumbing 2 bathrooms, kitchen, utility room, and 4 outdoor spigots.

I have to say they went above and beyond. Unfortunately for them when they removed the walkin tub, the original tiled shower was still in place. They did not expect this and had to remove the tile to continue the shower kit installation. When that was completed and they went to install the base of the shower kit, it was unfortunately cracked. Andrew left my house on Saturday night and drove to Riverview to pick up another shower base as I had purchased the last discontinued model of it in Pinellas County. As a result, they had to return on Sunday to finish the job. As expected, they showed up as promised on Sunday morning and continued working through the early evening. Despite these two MAJOR setbacks, they never complained or asked me to pay any additional money. They never asked for money for their time and gas to exchange the cracked shower base or the fact that their one day job was now a two day job. Needless to say, I felt bad that I couldn't pay them more, but I was on a budget as I had just purchased my house and had other things that I needed completed before I moved in. (As a result, I let them have the walkin tub as it was in very good condition in hopes that they could sell it and re-coup some of their costs.....I hope you guys were able to sell it.) Also when they left on Saturday night, I was surprised that they left my bathroom as clean and neat as they could. Even though they were returning on Sunday morning, they packed up their tools and either took them with them or left them in a corner of the bathroom. When the job was completed, they left my bathroom clean - no dust or dirt, and they took all the packing materials with them. Wait there's more......a few days later, the painter I hired (not from Angieslist) to paint the interior of my house broke the copper line to my refrigerator's icebox. To my horror, the outside water shutoff outside the house was rusted and did not work and I had to shut off the water at the street. The next morning, I contacted Andrew and asked him if he could repair the water line to the icebox and the outside water shut off. Sure enough, he came out that day and repaired both items for me. He also finished installing a sink faucet I started to replace, but didn't finish. (Plumbing work is not easy so I learned.) Again, being on a budget and clueless to plumbing prices, I was pleasantly surprised when the bill was about $100-something for the repairs.
Description of Work: I hired Plumb Crazy to come out on a Saturday to remove a walkin bathtub and replace it with a shower kit. I had scheduled the appointment in advance. On the day the work was scheduled, Andrew, Jeff and a helper showed up on time and ready to start. They were professional, presented themselves well, and worked throughout the day. When all was done, I was very pleased with the results of my shower kit installation. Sorry my review is very long overdue.

Contacted him and his was able to come over even though it was late. He had to go up on the roof to snake it and it was dark by the time he was done, but it didn't deter him. Andy had it all done in about 45 minutes. Fast, professional and did a great job. After he had it cleared, he got off the roof and got an extra length of cable so he could go a little further just to make sure there were no blockages further along the line. I will definitely use him again in the future.

Making the appointment went fine but that was it, nothing happened after making the appointment.
Description of Work: Contact Plumb Crazy to come out to look at a couple toilets and a couple outdoor valve leaks on 3/14/13. Appointment was arranged for 3/15/13 between 4p and 5p. I had changed some arrangements that I had so I could be around for the appointment, however no one showed or called to inform of being late or having to cancel. I would have been fine if the appointment needed to be cancelled but the least I would have expected was some notification.

It was Saturday morning when the toilets backed up. I started looking for a company with no weekend charges on the list and decided to try Plumb Crazy - with a name like that, they ought to be a cut above! Well, they were. Professionally attired for the task, polite & thorough. They had given me an afternoon window of time, and they showed up as promised. The plumber who came told me that I should consider having a larger access made because the drain was under a couple of live oaks that have grown considerably since we moved in 12 years ago. He told me that the roots were invading and causing the problem, that a larger hole would allow for a larger router that would get rid of more root, thus cutting down on the service calls to have it routed out and would cost $350.. I asked what else could be done, and he told me that I really should have a new drainage system put in for approximately $3500. No pressure was applied, he just wanted me to know what the situation was.

We had a leak inside the wall where a nail from recently installed baseboard had punctured the hot water pipe for the adjoining bathroom sink. We discovered the leak after normal business hours about 7:30pm. We found Plumb Crazy Plumbers on the internet by searching for plumbers who work after hours. When we called we were told we would hear back in a few minutes and we did. We were told the plumber would be out to the house in about an hour. Jeff and his helper arrived ahead of schedule. They determined that the leak was inside the wall and so they removed the baseboad and cut a small amount of the drywall away to see the pipes. The hole in the pipe was in the worst possible place and it required three pipes that went into one be cut out and replaced. Overall the job was done in about 2 hours from start to finish. The cost was reasonable considering it was after hours. Jeff was very professional and courteous. We would recommend this company and do business with them again.

The plumber who performed the rough-in work for this project was unable to finish the job, so we sought out the services of another and found Plumb Crazy on Angie's List. (Granted, this is usually coordinated by the General Contractor, but we had taken on the plumbing responsibility in the beginning, which ended up being a bit of a disaster). We spoke with Andy, who said he was available to come out that day to quote the job. We were anxious to get the kitchen operational and we had received bids from 2 other plumbers for between $300-$400, so when he quoted us $425 (with the Angie's List discount) to do the finish work, we agreed only if he could start right away. He said he could do it that same afternoon. We mentioned there was an open permit and we were having the previous plumber take his name off of it (incorrectly assuming this new plumber would take over the permit). The work was finished that afternoon and everything worked as advertised. We noticed after he left, however, a mysterious dime sized chip on our day-old porcelain floor tile right in front of the sink. We can't be certain this was caused by something like a dropped tool since nothing was mentioned, but we are baffled as to what other means could have caused it during that short time frame. When our General Contractor went to schedule the final inspections, he asked us to contact the plumber we had chosen to schedule his final inspection. We called Andy who said he would take care of it. Two weeks later, the Contractor called us to see if the plumber had ever had his inspection because it was not showing on the permit. We called Andy again who at this point (5 weeks after the work has been completed) tells us that it would cost us another $100.00 for him to take care of the permit/inspection. I called the city building department and asked if there was anything I could do as the homeowner and the representative informed me that I could schedule the plumbing inspection myself, so we took care of it. Much of the dissatisfaction we feel about their service could have been avoided with better communication about what was expected with the permit and inspections at the outset, or even when we called about the inspection the first time. We are not experts, that is why we hired one- some simple customer service would have gone a long way for us in this case. If we had known they were going to charge an additional $100 to take care of the paperwork, we would have waited a few days and used one of the less expensive plumbers.
Description of Work: We had the plumbing in our newly remodeled kitchen hooked up and fixtures installed. This included installation of the sink faucet and garbage disposal, hooking up the ice line to the refrigerator, connecting the dishwasher, and hooking up the stove to the gas line.

This is Andrew Grzetich owner of Plumb Crazy Plumbers, inc. I would like to clear up some of this misinformation. When our company was origionally hired for a price of $425 there was no mention of a Permit or our company signing on to a permit. Which we would have to charge a small fee to sign on to their permit for inspections. This is not the type of job which normally requires a permit. When additonal requests are added to the origional proposal we should not be faulted for additional charges. I am sorry that this customer feels we did not fullfill our end of the deal. But we provided an on time proffessional installation. There was Never any mention of this dime sized cracked tile until now. This was not caused by our company! Nothing was dropped or anything like that during our install. It is extremely unfair to blame our company for this! We are a respectable, fair company and warranty all of our work. And our company has hundreds of satisfied customers as references to back this up. Please dont let a small biased complaint tarnish our reputation. We had a sudden back up of our plumbing on a Saturday and I looked for a plumber who had weekend hours, which they had listed in their description. The problem turned out to be tree roots penetrating our drainage pipes (assumed to be the old fashion ceramic kind). He suggested further preventative service -adding a ground level 4" clean out valve ($350) allowing for the use of a bigger router to get more root cu material cut out, or to replace the line from the street in ($3500). He was not pushy, he just gave me more information on the pro's/con's and answered a question raised by a house guest regarding the use of a root killer or cutting down the trees. I was extremely pleased with their performance, demeanor & professionalism.

I called and left a message and my call was returned within a few minutes. We arranged to meet at my condo the tech arrived at the agreed upon time. He determined a new water heater was needed and gave me a price. I told him to go ahead and within a few hours a new hot water heater was installed.
Description of Work: On the morning of November 25 the day after Thanksgiving the tenants in my condo called me that the carpet was soaked. It was near the untility room where the hot water heater was. Since the water heater is the orinignal one (25years) old it was not difficult to figure out I needed to either replace or repair the current one. Since the Friday after Thanks giving is a semi-holiday for some I was worried I might not be able to find anyone to come until Monday and I couldn't ask the tenants to go without hot water for several days. I went on your website and searched for a nearby plumber and called them.

The installers performance was exemplary. They showed up on time for the estimate and installation. They took great care in transporting the water heaters without any damage to my home> Moreover, there was no clean up required on my part after installation. Of particular merit was the time the installers took after installation to ensure the work was 100% successful. I found that very encouraging.
Description of Work: The services included an estimate and installation of a water heater on the 2nd floor of my town home. Also, the old water heater was removed.
