We are having polyaspartic coating put on our lanai floor. The company that is doing that tried to get the old coating off and was only partially successful. They suggested we call Bottom Zupp. Ruben and JR arrived on time and quickly got to work. We have not seen two young men work so hard in a long time. By early afternoon all the nasty coating was gone and they cleaned up and were on their way. Both exceptional workers, polite and congenial. Good customer contact and response from the entire company.

Bottom Zupp of Safety Harbor, Florida On 9/2/2021 at 4:30 AM I water skied across our kitchen floor and the discovered our hot water side of our utility sink was spraying water at an extremely high pressure and subsequently discovered that our 85-gallon commercial grade water heater was pushing out cold water. We contacted Vet*Cor who did a fantastic job in the mitigation process but determined our ‘Engineered Hard Wood Flooring’ in the family room and formal dining room must be removed due to moisture readings throughout the two areas. Initially Ver*Cor was going to use their workforce to remove the engineered hard wood flooring but when we verified the glue had to be removed as well, it was determined by the Vet*Cor Project Manager a professional floor removal company needed to be hired and his recommendation was Bottom Zupp. While Vet*Cor worked with the insurance company to make the proper arrangements I first checked out their web page and was immediately impressed ([*** Link removed ***] then I contacted, via email, Ms. Hilda Huertas who answered all of my questions to include pricing, first available date to do the work, and will keep an eye out for the contact from Vet*Cor. A couple of days later Vet*Cor advised us the date for the wood flooring destruction was set on 10.01.2021. Bottom Zupp the next day sent out their estimator (apologies I did not get his business card) but he was a no-nonsense gentleman; however, after he did his assessment he verbally brought me into the project, answered every question I had, provided some guidance, advised me of what to expect, and advised that the project will be done and accomplished in one day. Today, Mr. Sean McCarty/Crew Leader and Mr. Keegan Gunderson arrived at the time specified, introduced themselves, asked to look at the work area, asked a few pertinent questions, and then advised they would start the destruction after about an hour of prep time. As well, during the prep time, Mr. Tyler Matthews/Production Manager arrived, met with Sean and Keegan, discussed the approach to the destruction and advised Sean and Keegan, if they needed him to give him a call and left for Sean and Keegan to complete the project. The prep was outstanding with the emphasis on protecting the rest of the house from the debris being generated and the dust. Sean advised that he would ensure the A/C would be turned off at the critical times and then turned back on – he even recommended bringing the temperature down for our personal comfort when the A/C was going to be turned off. They also made sure that there would be no damage to the areas of the house that had to be transitioned by their 2,500-pound machine by putting down appropriate protection. Sean, who was the machine operator, took all precautions bringing in the machine and driving it out of our home avoiding large pieces of stored furniture. From the moment they started their prep work to finishing cleaning up the entire work area and areas just outside of the work area Sean and Keegan stayed on task the entire time – they did not take lunch. The started at ~9:30 AM and finished at ~4:00 PM (time is not exact). They did an outstanding job. As well, they allowed me to ask questions during the process one of which was to verify under the wood there was moisture which they verified and showed in the areas where the water was known to be, the glue came up with the wood, in a smaller area where the water was not as concentrated, they had to put in more elbow grease, to include hand tools, to get the wood flooring glue up. Besides their professionalism they had an incredibly positive and friendly attitude; I was extremely impressed. If you want any type of flooring taken up much quicker and more efficiently then there is only one choice – Bottom Zupp. If you want to ensure you get a crew that knows what they are doing, exemplifies professionalism, friendly, and Customer Centered you will not be sorry if you request Mr. Sean McCarty and Mr. Keegan Gunderson from the Safety Harbor office of Bottom Zupp.

Terrible customer service. Upon removal of the floors, they inadvertently left the pipe to the toilet dripping in the upstairs bathroom; which leaked through my ceiling, ruining the drywall. I initially contacted Rick Nickerson, President, about the damage and he wouldn't call me back. He FINALLY called my back when the person who referred his company to me contacted him about the issue; which happen to be on the weekend He was extremely argumentative and told me it is not that serious and he doesn't work on the weekend. I stated it was an emergency since my floors were supposed to be installed on that Monday. Not sure what "President" only works Monday - Friday, 9a-5p?! He also questioned me as to what I was doing with my time and why I was not managing the renovations to my home more thoroughly in an attempt deflect responsibility - not sure he would have said this to a man. He said he only got $27 to remove the toilet, not sure what that had to do with the leak. I explained to him that I was just looking for a fair resolution, and he said that he would work with me on the issues. However when Monday rolled around he the told me it was my issue, not his, and that I should work with my homeowner's insurance. Additionally he stated he had taken video of the job, but would not provide me with the video. I had only owned the home for a few weeks, had a clean home inspection, and his team was the ONLY team that had completed work in my home. So clearly the issue was related to their work his team completed. For someone who is the alleged President of the company; I found him to be completely unprofessional, rude, and unaccountable to the work his company performs. I would NEVER recommend this company.

Initial office call went smoothly with professional receptionist/scheduler. Service rep and project estimator came out to our home the next day and showed up on time to review our project and provide a quote for the job. Service was scheduled for a couple days out at our convenience and time frame. Crew showed up on time, completed tear out job as planned in a timely manner, left no messes at all, were very professional and even more so impeccably polite and respectful. AND no messes or remnants of tear out were found anywhere in driveway or yard. Spotless!!! Would hire again in a heart beat!!!!!

My daughter and son in law recently purchased a home that needed to have approximately 400 square feet of ceramic tile removed from the two story home. Rick came out and gave us an estimate, and his workers showed up promptly on the day to remove the tile. Trevor and Jimmy did an outstanding job of prepping the area where the ceramic tile needed to be removed. Not only did they do a great job removing the ceramic tile, after sealing off the area, they thoroughly cleaned up all the tile and thinset and dust so that we could immediatley put down our new engineering floor. The area where they had worked was so clean that the installation could be done without having to do more cleaning. All the broken tile, thinset and dust was taken away by them. Anyone thinking of doing this job without considering Bottom Zupp should definitely give them a call. Their price is very fair and their attention to detail is incredible. Rick, Trevor and Jimmy treated this home as if it was their own.

We never knew that there was a company that did tile removal and were extremely nervous of all the dust that comes with it. We have cathedral ceilings in all of our kitchen, foyer, and hallwall adjourning the living & dining room. When calling for companies, one company said they would not be covering much, just hire someone to come in afterwards to clean. Really? Well, my nervousness was totally relaxed when Richard Nickerson came to our house to give us a quote (he was the only company that wanted to previewed). In summary; their crew not only covered furniture, etc, they built a plastic wall to the ceiling, they put our washer & dryer in the garage, they put cardboard around our dishwasher, brand new refrigerator and kitchen table and wrapped in plastic. Turned the ac off, had fans directing the flow towards outside front door and then went to work removing the tile. We could not be more happy with this company and their extreme care for my our home in this type of work. Our tile installer said he loves to come in after they have done their job for he knows how clean and thorough they are. Highly recommend!!

I hired Bottom Zupp to remove the river rock from our lanai floor. Errol and Brian arrived were very professional and efficient. They came on time and prepared t do the work. They covered all my windows with cardboard, covered my ceiling fan and protected my threshold to prevent and damage from flying pebbles. I was impressed with their efficiency and thoughtfulness. Above all, I was impressed with their honesty. A few minutes into the job they relaized the river rock was installed directly into the concrete slab and could not be removed. They removed everything and left it as t was with no charge to me. I appreciate their honesty and would definitely recommend them to others. This is a rare and talented company. They know what they are doing!

I initially contacted two flooring companies to remove many rooms of Mexican Saltillo and a few other tile types then polish the terrazzo that was hiding underneath. Both flooring companies recommended BottomZup to remove the old flooring since BottomZupp did it better, faster and cheaper than they could. The initial visit was to evaluate the job and establish a price. The second visit was to remove about 1800 sf of tile. They were punctual, professional and knowledgeable. They warned me that it was impossible to know what shape the terrazzo underneath would be and that prior homeowners may have laid down tile or laminate to cover staining, cracks or re-plumbing projects that had required jack hammering the floor. The removal went well. They worked fast and cleaned up better than I expected. I think the price was fair. They got up all the flooring and also removed the adhesive and thin set to make the next polishing step easier. I would definitely hire them again. BTW the tile removal did uncover some areas of damaged or missing terrazzo in the baths (plumbing). The remainder looks great so the gamble was worth it in our case.

This was such a great experience, I honestly can't imagine why anyone still pays to have flooring removed by hand. I called Rick Nickerson and he was at my house the next day taking accurate measurements. I knew I hit the jackpot with Bottom Zupp when Rick was at my house because he went above and beyond in that very first meeting. He didn't have to do this at all, but he helped me prep my floors by removing some closet doors and shelving. Two days later his crew arrived to do the job. They taped off my kitchen so well that my contractor asked them to leave it intact for the rest of our renovation. The Bottom Zupp crew efficiently removed the floors and let us with a perfect concrete slab. At every step of the way I was informed and supported by the friendly folks at BZ. I can't recommend them highly enough!

These guys take such amazingly great steps to make an otherwise horrible experience (let's face it....getting your home's floors removed is not fun) a great experience. I found the entire crew of three to be very amiable and highly trained and professional. The lengths they took simply to prep our home took almost as long as the actual tear-out of the floors. They spend so much quality time protecting our home, pictures on walls, and other things using plastic protection so as to minimize dust (and it worked). Since we were doing a whole house renovation, we left most of the plastic up until we were done paintng :) I HIGHLY recommend hiring this company..........for any type of home or commercial floor tear-out job. After seeing just how far they went to protect our home.........and then subsequently leaving it absolutely pristine when they left........I cannot posibly think of any other company I would trust this job to. Bottom Zupp is nothing but WIN/WIN !!!!

Bottoms Zupp worked as a subcontractor for American Flooring in New Port Richey. The experience was good. They called ahead with an ETA and arrived as promised. After an initial walk-through, they explained the process, asked if we had questions and got to work. Much of they time at our house was spent prepping the area and ensuring everything was covered up. They worked steadily and efficiently. Despite the expected mess of a tile removal, we would hire them back in a heartbeat.
