Adkins Tree and Landscape

He started out providing good service. I did feel his price was a little high for the size of the yard, but he was reliable and that was more important at the time. I recently asked him to call me to get a lawn maintenance quote on a second property as well as re-landscaping of the side yard and tree trimming at that second home. He said he'd call me but he didn't. I followed up and he finally responded after 5 days from my original message and said that he was swamped and would have to pass. In other words, he wasted my time (a major pet peeve for me) and delayed my being able to move forward with the project. He also let me know that he was upset that I had not given him the courtesy to quote replacement of the sod at the original property. My husband had actually handled the sod quotes, so I wasn't even involved. And - he had the opportunity to offer a quote when the lawn started to look bad if he had really wanted the business. I guess that's why he didn't return my call in a timely manner? Very disappointing. I will no longer be using his services.

After 5 years of using this company, I got a call on Monday informing me that as of Tuesday they were no longer going to be doing my service. Chris, the owner said that it was no longer profitable for him to do my lawn service, after 5 years!!! No notice, no help to find a replacement service, no conversation, nothing. Just by by. I wrote him a letter and explained my complaint and not even a courtesy of a follow up call. Even more embarrassing for me after referring 3 of my neighbors who hired him only to get the same treatment. Regardless of the good work he did, I have a problem with a contractor like this that could care less about his long term clients. And if he would have had the simple courtesy to call me after I contacted him by letter to discuss, I might be a bit more sympathetic. Instead after not completing his obligations and failure to respond to me me.... I get it. Could care less about a 5 year client. You might like his service but be prepared.

it went very well

When we first moved into our house, we ended up using Adkins to take out all the weeds and overgrowth that was there and install all new landscaping. The sprinkler system was so old and non-functioning that they repaired and replaced much of it too. The landscaping has filled in beautifully, and our property has that tropical look that we wanted. Chris and his crew were so attentive, professional, knowledgeable, creative, and great to work with that we ended up contracting them for weekly service. Not only do we feel that way, but we have several neighbors who have hired them too based on our experience with them and the beautiful job that they do in our yard.

Professional courteous and very good in maintaining yard Highly recommended.
