+ -1 moreI left a phone message for Paul and he returned my call within minutes. He was here within 30 minutes to assess the problem. He was unable to turn off the water from the county, so I called the county. Paul said to call him when they were able to turn off the water. When the county worker arrived and tried to turn off the water, the bolt broke off completely. He had to replace the whole unit. He also found the leak that was on our side, and I called Paul. He returned in a short time and was able to make the repair. Paul is efficient, reliable, and patient (which I appreciated). His fee of $90 was more than reasonable. I will definitely be calling him for any plumbing issues in the future.
Description of Work: Hillsborough County meter reader informed us there was a leak in our water line .

Description of Work: Opened small section of sheet rock wall on both closet and laundry room to access leaking water connection to washing machine hot and cold values. Replaced complete valves, couplings, pipe connections turn off and on knobs. Time was 1 1/2 hours labor and parts. Worked quickly and price was reasonable.

I was never unhappy with the price he charge whenever he came out because his work is excellent and the price is always reasonable. + 0 morePaul Wood replies to phone messages promptly. He arrived on time, didn't have to worry about no showing up. He gets the proper parts for the job, if needed and worked in an efficient manner, courteous and professional. When the water treatment product was installed he did the proper followup in a timely manner with no reminders needed and cleans up afterwards. I appreciated that I could use my credit card to pay.
Description of Work: Paul Wood is the most dependable plumber I have used. He is knowledgeable, honest, in his field. I recommend his services to everyone I meet, including other home maintenance people. The rates are fair (it all depends on the situation and the area that is serviced). He is familiar with the Pelican Water products and is on their list of reliable plumbers to call. Paul is good assessing the problem and solves it in a speedy manner. I couldn't ask for more from a plumber. I have used Paul's services on several occasions to maintain my home.

Description of Work: I'm a long-time (4 years plus) customer of Paul Wood Plumbing. I first called Paul - found him on the internet - due to a leaking pipe in my garage (leading out to the main water supply). Paul was right on-time, repaired the leak, was meticulous, and actually billed me less than his initial ball-park - quite a bit less. I wrote the check for $20 more than he charged and thanked him. I've since had Paul come out for repair to my solar pool heating pipes on the roof, to replace a water heater, to clear a sink, repair a toilet - every time, his repairs have been top-notch, his bills have been reasonable, and it's been a pleasure to work with him. I can't recommend him enough. He's a true professional, quality and ethical to a degree that most are unfortunately not these days. I'll always call Paul for my plumbing needs.

+ -1 moreVery smooth. Paul came promptly to address problem. He didn't have the correct valve on his truck but arranged to get one the next day since it was after hours. He returned the next day, corrected the problem in a timely manner. There was a mixup with the credit card company. Paul called the next day, explained what happened and how it would be resolved. Very professional. Fantastic service. Will use for all my future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: We had a leaking shower valve. Valve was replaced and problem solved.

I also have used him on a separate occasion when a sprinkler system was punctured by a contractor and he was very prompt and thorough. He inspected the entire tract of sprinklers in my yard and repaired the problem, and also fixed the settings on the timer. He also took the time to show me how to customize them if I need to. Mr. Wood is great and I highly recommend him. I will use him in the future for my plumbing needs. Thanks Mr. Wood!
