From the moment he came out to quote the job, he was upfront and honest about every aspect of the project... almost instantaneously gaining my trust. He explained the options available but assisted in offer his opinions when I was indifferent. He even left a color sample ring so my wife could be included in the decision process as well. He was polite and respectful and an all-around good guy. I trusted him with my home and he came through. The house looks amazing with the new gutters! In fact, I've had a couple of neighbors compliment the difference it made to our curb appeal. John was punctual, hard working, thorough and personable. I would absolutely recommend John Ambrosio to any of my friends, family or strangers! In fact, I asked him for a few business cards to pass out. And I like having a "local" guy in my rolodex. I feel it is important to support small business owners in the area (vs national chains) on projects such as this. John's results only strengthened my beliefs.

+ -1 moreI contacted three vendors for this work initially, and two responded. The third did not service my area. Of the two responding companies, the prices and products were identical, so I was comfortable I was being offered a fair deal by both. I chose Ambrosio because John went the extra mile for me. After naming the price, he offered to remove approximately 30 feet of existing gutter (still functional, but aged several years) at no additional cost and replace it with new. The second company did not think of that. Maybe a small thing, but in my mind, that made the difference. This made the job more complete and the finished look more consistent. The gutters function perfectly even after several torrential rains, and improve the look of the house immeasurably.

+ -1 moreSuper job. Gutters run straight and long with no seams and actually blend in with the house almost becoming invisible. John was easy to work with and gave us some good advice on how the gutters and drain pipes should run. He was also able to get the material in a color that enhanced the appearance of the house as indicated above by becoming almost invisible. He also has a unique way of mitering the corners to make them look sharp and professional. Overall a very outstanding installation.

+ -1 moreI was referred to John Ambrosio by someone giving me a quote for home exterior painting. I called him, and he arrived the next day to give me a quote, which he honored. Since I was choosing colors for the house, he gave me a variety samples of all the gutters colors so I could match them up with the color of the house. After the house was painted, I called John and in about 2-3 hours he and his assistant installed the gutters. I'm extremely happy with the result. The color of the gutters and downspouts are a true match with the house colors. John and his assistant are very friendly, polite and professional at what they do. John is a handyman and even fixed my fence, at no extra charge, after seeing that the fence was leaning into my neighbor's yard. Yes, I would definitely recommend and hire him in the future.

+ -1 moreThe overall experience was outstanding. John, the owner, was punctual. was able to give us an estimate and work was scheduled. Since we had about 3 areas of concern, John offered viable solutions that took care of each of the problem areas. One area in particular involved gutter that was poorly designed by the builder and John was able to come up with a solution that solved the problem and kept cost to a minimum. What I really liked about his company is that John is on-site during installation to see that the work is done as it should be.
Description of Work: Due to heavy rain run-off from the roof, the entrance to our front door was continually flooded. We had the same problem when exiting the patio door on the west side and south side.

Description of Work: John installed a 23ft piece of gutter with 'no seems' on the side of my garage. No seems is a big deal because you can't go to home depot and pick up a piece like that. Plus if you were to try and install the pieces from home depot yourself, you'd be asking for a big job trying to connect each piece. I'm pretty handy but 2 guys with right tools and the right knowledge, like John and his employee, are worth every penny!! They had the part installed within 30 minutes of their arrival. They also did some creative thinking on how to bring the downspout between my surveillance cameras which made the gutter system aesthetically pleasing while maintaining its functionality. He also made some gardening recommendations based on his experience to disguise part of the down spout in front of the garage. I thought I would just paint part of the downspout green to match my scraggly bush.. lol John said maybe you should just put a fuller bush in. I'll be going with his recommendation. John is also an easy going guy, calm and down to earth which made doing business with him great. Great communicator. He also went around and inspected some of my other gutters and made some recomendations that I could do myself to fix them up. He offered to do it no charge but just didn't have the part on hand. I do feel bad that I made an accusation that they chipped some paint because I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. SORRY JOHN. Even when I made that accusation he politely went and checked the spot and asked me to come look at it. It turned out to be the exterior paint was splashed a bit on the siding from the painters. Sorry John!! I'm going to be buying another home and he'll be the guy I call to install any gutter system I may need. Also, he'll be the guy I recommend to friends and family.

+ -1 moreI was very satisfied with their service and the guy who performed the work is very well informed on environmental issues. He was very competent and his pricing was fair. He helped me convince Orkin that my house needed to be tinted because when he removed the old vinyl siding and the sheeting underneath, he discovered that three very active termite colonies had been chewing away on the joists in my house. He contracted with an Orkin group to come out and tint my house after finally convincing them. Without his inputs I would not have been able to get these termite colonies killed. He is a very busy boy and has sent out other boys to perform some other work for me and I have been very satisfied with them as well.
Description of Work: I used Ambrosio's Exterior Solutions Inc to replace a vinyl siding on one of the walls on the upper storey of my house as well as for other work.

+ -1 moreWe called for an estimate and they came out right a way to give us a quote. We hired him at the same time as he didn't try to sell us new gutters only to repair the downspouts. He looked at our gutters and said they were in good shape. He also said they would do the work and send us a bill so we wouldn't have to be at home. I haven't gotten the bill yet as the work was just done 2 days ago but it will be $150.00 or less. I would definately hire them again.

Description of Work: John provided an estimate for facia repair and adding gutters/downspout along one side of house. He arrived at the agreedupon time. He and his helper completed the work and cleaned all work areas as the work progressed. He was very professional and friendly. Even though the job took longer than he planned, job cost was the original estimate. I would highly recommend his work.

Initailly, we had wanted them to so some patchwork repairs on our 26-year old gutters; their pricing was so reasoanble that we had them do gutters for the whole house. He arrived on time, quickly took measurements, answered several questions and provided me a quote. We scheduled the install at that time. I told him I had other work being done and needed it done by a specific time/date. John arrived as planned and the install was done in less than an hour. Great quality workmanship. I would highly recommend Ambrosio's for future work!

+ -1 moreWhen our house was built 10 years ago, no gutters were installed, and about 4 years ago, I had another contractor come out and put a gutter on the side of the house where there was a lot of rain runoff. I contacted this previous contractor who came out yesterday to give me a quote, and was 2.5x the price of what John charged. The other contractor said he'd have to have 3 guys on the job and that it would be a huge undertaking, being we have a 2 story house. I contacted John to come out and get a 2nd opinion. John came out to the house right on time as promised, and gave me a very reasonable quote. He also felt that this job was not very difficult and he could do it in a very short amount of time. I asked him how soon he could start the project, and he said tomorrow since it wouldn't take too long. Again, he arrived on time as promised, and he and an assistant put the gutter up in no time. Keep in mind, I have solar panels on my roof for the pool, and a pool cage on the 1st floor, so it was a little more complicated than just nailing a gutter up. John was very professional, very nice, and reasonably priced. I also liked that he said all his employee have at least 2 years of college education, as he felt that education was important in this line of work. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, and actually hired him to do a 2nd job for me in the next few weeks.
Description of Work: 40" gutter run along 2nd story of house above pool cage with solar panels on roof. What made the job difficult was that the pool cage didn't allow for ladders to be used in the job. The gutter had to be installed from the roof.

+ -1 moreFrom start to finish, John Ambrosio was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a nightmarish gutter situation between our screened-in yard and pool house. The gutter emptied on the wrong side and leaked so severely that we were left with pools of water beneath it after a rain. When John came out to inspect it he realized that the work would be a real challenge. The placement of the old gutter seemed to demand a solution that would require disturbing the screen. Also, the spacial relationship between the pool house and the main house made it difficult to lead the water out towards the street. John was enthusiastic about coming up with solutions to all of these problems, and when he estimated the cost of the work to be $200, we were blown away. Not only did John deliver on his promise to solve these problems, he did so brilliantly, managing to replace the gutter without disturbing the screen. In addition to his great work on the gutter, he noticed that our facia board was rotted and replaced it for us. While John was working, he offered us help with other home improvement projects we had going on, and even carried a VERY heavy couch out to the pool house for us. After everything he did, the total cost for all of his work was true to his original estimate, $200. If I could give him a higher rating than an A I would; he deserves it. It is businesses like John's that make subscribing to Angie's List worth it.

I was getting the house painted so he agreed to remove the existing gutters before the painters started then came back weeks later to install the new ones. My roof line was not level so he installed an addition to the facia board as well in order to get the gutter to drain correctly. All work and communication was handled in a professional manner. I highly recommend John and would gladly use him again the future!
Description of Work: Removal and replacement of existing gutters and downspouts with new gutters and downspouts. Invoice says " Install white 6” seamless gutter and (2) 3”x4” downspouts to the rear of home."
