It went well. I used them based on their reviews I saw. They are responsive, they explained what the issue was, and did a professional job.

Felt that service was comprehensive and fair. Technician and boss spent time showing me what was wrong and how to fix it.

I called Holmes the day after and left a message. They called the very next day after the roads had been opened and we scheduled an appointment. I'd used them once before and the service was exemplary. I had also used another service and both their attitude and performance was not. Beyond the fact that Mr. Holmes knows what he is doing, beyond the fact that they are punctual and effective, the MANNER IN WHICH THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER is also exemplary. They care about their customers and you feel that personal concern and connection at every level, from appointment to service. I don't want this to sound gushing...but so far, they ARE that good. For them I just went onto Angie’s. I think I purchased it through Angie’s List, the tune-up. They were very professional, straight to the point. The owner was the one who came out. What was neat about him was that he taught me to do basic maintenance, things I could do on my own and things to look for. So, I could do some of the maintenance myself if I wanted to and that’s the adventure. He was very professional, very friendly. He spoke to me in layman terms so there were no jargons or anything like that, open. He went above and beyond because he didn’t have to teach me any of it.

Easily the nicest, most honest repair person I have ever met. The owner took my initial call and tried to walk me through a couple of possible fixes before he even came out - unfortunately they didn't work. He came out to our house the following morning for the service call, looked at our system for about an hour, and referred me to another company who specialized in the overly complex computer-controlled Trane system that we have. He referred me because it would be cheaper for me to use the specialist than if he'd tried to identify the computer malfunction himself. Mr. Holmes didn't charge me anything for the service call, and refused to take anything more than a Gatorade for his time. Awesome guy - he even called me back a few days later to make sure that the other company treated me right. Assuming you aren't looking to repair an obscure, complicated system like mine, I would call Holmes without hesitation!

Great! I highly recommend Holmes Cooling and Heating - Bart is honest to a fault and gives it to you straight. He never tries to upsell - just give you what you need and nothing more, nothing less. They arrived on time, and were done in less than 4 hours, hauling away the old equipment and testing the new. I couldn't be happier with the result or the service.

Bart is the absolute best service provider I've had for anything, ever. We moved into a house last summer and have been uncovering well hidden problems ever since. I called Bart for annual servicing last fall and have called him several times since for a failing A/C unit. Initially we suspected a small leak in the compressor. After that failed to solve the problem, we replaced the unit. He was able to replace the unit within 36 hours from the time we determined it needed to be replaced! Each time I've called (twice with the unit not cooling-emergency!) he's responded within an hour or 2(usually immediately), and when requested, been able to stop by same day. If you are technically minded and can find your way around your units, Bart will explain what to do over the phone if the problem can be solved without professional intervention-at no charge! He will explain what is being done, and will give you information on what to do to prevent problems. Bart takes his time and is very considerate in his billing. When we had our upstairs unit recharged and sealed for the leak, he topped off the downstairs unit at no charge! He cares very much for his customers and it shows.

Bart, owner, immediately recognized the problem and explained all that was needed was a wet/dry vac to clean out the discharge line, saving $180. Most other companies would have come out and done the work rather than educate a customer for free.

Best of all, lifelong area resident and owner Bart Holmes is a true expert in his field and strives to provide customers with the highest quality product -- he also goes out of his way to help customers avoid spending money that doesn't have to be spent to keep their costs down. In my case, Mr. Holmes came out three years ago to give me a second opinion on whether I should replace my aging AC system. Mr. Holmes serviced the unit and recommended against replacement at that time. As a result I benefited from three additional years from my old unit before he installed my new system last week. My new AC is FANTASTIC--more cooling power than my old unit and far more quiet than my next door neighbor's new AC also just recently installed. Holmes Cooling & Heating is the absolute best.

Splendid! This is the 2nd time I've used Holmes AC for emergency service, and they have performed admirably. I only wish I had found them before I replaced my system three years ago! I am writing this review with a happy smile on my face. Happy because there are still honest people in the world and Bart Holmes of Holmes Heating and Cooling is one of them. The other night my air conditioner handler started leaking and I called Holmes Heating and Cooling to have a look at it. Before coming out to the house, Bart walked me through a few steps and he could tell that there was nothing wrong. A pipe just needed to be cleaned. He could have very easily been dishonest with me but took time out of his day to help me solve a problem that was easily fixed. In a world where good character is very rare Holmes Heating and Cooling showed me that not only are they competent they are honest! So, if you are looking for someone to handle your AC needs, trust me when I tell you Holmes Heating and Cooling are not only dependable and competent they are trustworthy!

I had an issue with my air conditioner freezing-up. I contacted "Holmes Cooling & Heating" for an inspection based on a neighbor's recommendation. I could not have made a better choice! Bart (Owner) and an assistant conducted a thorough examination of my air conditioning unit and discovered a major leak in the coil of the air conditioning unit. The company took care of finding a new replacement coil part and returned to complete the repair. During the repair, Bart explained a lot of the detail behind the repair. My air conditioning system is working great now and I am a very happy customer! I will definitely use them for future inspections of my air conditioning system. He was very good. He was very reasonable. The work was really good, and I believe he saved me a lot of money. I was very happy, because someone had told me a lot more, saying that I needed some work and he said I did not need it, and he was correct. I didn't have anymore problems. No complaints.

I used him twice. I found his work excellent. The summer time in Florida, you know the price is incidental. The guy came and he was very nice. He called before he came. I found him very good. The price was reasonable.

Bart returned a few days with his crew and replaced my entire unit. Everyone showed up on time as promised. Bart and his crew did a fabulous job. Before they left, everything was cleaned up. Bart even stayed behind to make sure everything was working properly before he left. As it turned out, my drain was draining properly he he refused to leave before it was fixed. Turned out that the drain had separated under the ground and was draining in the ground. Bart dug a whole and repaired the drain before. I should also mention that Bart sat walked me around and explained everything I needed to know about the unit. He also sat down with me in front of a computer to make sure the unit was registered properly for the warranty. I don't think many people do that at all. Bart went above an beyond. I highly recommend Holmes Cooling and Heating!!!

Excellent! Didn't have to put up with all the annoying things other companies have put me through like padding the bill and selling a service contract. You will never consider anyone else for your cooling or heating system once you try Holmes

I gave him a call and he explained what the problem was and how to find my main drain line to unclog it myself. He stayed on the line with me while I tried to find it and then had me text him a picture of the pipe to verify. He explained exactly what to do to unclog it. He offered to come out and unclog it himself but wanted to save me the money of a service call that was easy enough for me to unclog myself with a wetvac. He was so helpful and I will definitely use him when I have a bigger problem with my air conditioner!

I got a phone call the night before to remind me of scheduled work. Crew arrived early, and worked hard the entire time they were here. Very professional and knowledgeable. Bart Holmes stayed and checked and double checked system inside and out, and took the time to educate me on the unit and how to maintenance it. Also they provide dropcloths to cover carpeting!

Vents are clean.....the only thing we didn't like was the smell of the disinfectant for several days after. We would suggest having it done when the windows can be open for several days (we had it done during a warm time when we had the air on).

The owner, Bart, came to my house on the same day we called after our AC stopped working. He quickly identified the problem, explained what happened, and replaced the defective part.

Mr. Holmes showed up as he said he would, and installed the 2 Ecobee units, which required some additional wiring to be placed in the systems in our garage. While doing this he also recognized that a transformer in one of our units in the garage should get replaced to prevent a bigger problem from happening. The job took about 2.5 hours, which is what I expected. Mr. Holmes ability to explain the problem directly and address the issue in a timely and cost effective manner is one of the many reasons that we continue to utilize his services, and would highly recommend him to others as well. I also received a call from Ecobee about their devices and who installed it, and I gave him a glowing review to them as well. They told me they would reach out to him as well, and it is my understanding that they have and he is now one of their authorized installers.
