Description of Work: Replaced fan motor and governor. Came and gave me quotes for replacement of motor and replacement of system, discussed pros and cons of each decision with the serviceman and with the owner. They both encouraged me to do the less expensive repair, based upon my circumstances.

Description of Work: Trouble shoot a non-function A/C unit and got it up and running. Checked refrigerant charge in two units and vacuumed condensate drain lines. All done in approximately 1 hr with the owner and a helper. I will be using Holmes Cooling and Heating in the future.

At the time we were just getting estimates since it was going to be a very big job. We have not made any final decisions as to how we are going to handle the problem but we told them we would keep in touch.

Description of Work: I purchased the big deal for $199 Complete Home Air Duct Cleaning & Sanitizing and Dryer Vent Inspection. My experience was fine. One technician came out to do the work and it took him about 2 hours. He was very professional and courteous during the appointment.

Description of Work: "Bart is the consummate professional. He is very friendly and clearly has a passion for what he does. He asked many detailed questions about the problems the A/C unit was exhibiting so that he could focus on the specific area of difficulty. Clearly, his intention was to quickly and accurately assess the problem so as to not waste time and most importantly, from the consumer's point of view, provide high-quality service at the most reasonable fee possible. After I explained what had been occurring, he quickly identified the problem and solved it. He advised me to purchase a particular vacuum unit from Home Depot which is more powerful than the unit (Stinger) that I had been using so that I could more efficiently clean out the drain line without having to contact him to provide the service. He took the time to demonstrate how well his unit worked as well as to show me the various PVC components that I would need to purchase in order to be able to attach the unit to the drain line. |After he drained the line, he also performed a tuneup service on the A/C unit. I was so impressed with his honesty and the time that he spent with me explaining how A/C units work and what I could do to maximize it's performance, that I purchased a service contract from him so that he could be the professional who was responsible for maintaining the unit for as long as possible. He wrapped the cost of his service call into the price of the service contract so that the final price was, in my opinion, quite reasonable.
