For years me and my mom have struggled with renovating our town home. We have had people leave during projects, give us unreasonable estimates, or simply just not return our calls. My mom lives on her own since I am not always here throughout the year, and is also aging. Paul Schilf from FixitRus has absolutely restored my confidence in Florida contractors. He went above and beyond to personally communicate with my mom while she was working through his private cell phone. Patience is a virtue and he sure expressed his patience with her. I could not be happier with a service not just in this industry, but across all industries. We will 100% be hiring him again, and offering his services to anybody we know. It was excellent. The work was professional, area was cleaned up and totally satisfied. They are great to work with, did what was necessary and did not do more than needed. Showed me where leaks were and where they weren't. Would use them again and recommend without reservation. their work was so good my neighbor used them for his roof repair .

We liked Paul. We had a few ideas how something should be fixed and he offered better solutions and we were thrilled with that. He worked 7 hours straight with one trip to Home Depot. There was a small misunderstanding on the price related to a coupon offered on Angie's list. He cleared that up immediately and made sure we were happy, which we appreciated.

Paul was wonderful to work with. He arrived promptly for the estimate appointment and sent me the estimate timely. I was impressed with the price and agreed to have the work performed. He showed up on day one promptly and immediately got to work. To the extent possible, he minimized any inconvenience to us. He cleaned up each day after he was finished. Before he left for the day, he let us know what time work would begin the next day and what work would get done then. After remodeling several rooms in my house and having bad experiences with contractors in the past, I wish I would have found FIXITRUS at the beginning. I would definitely hire Paul an his company again as well as highly recommend him to anyone considering a home improvement project or even general repairs.

Paul Schilf was very responsive and showed up on time each time he came and completed the work in about a week. We were extremely pleased that he responded so quickly and was very professional. We recommend him highly.

Paul was on-time and did the job to our satisfaction. He ran into an issue with a bad cable and had to come back to replace it, threading the cable behind the wall and across multiple cavities. He didn’t leave the job until it was right. And he stood by his quote regardless of the difficulties. He is reliable and professional. A “tell it like it is” and no nonsense guy.

I contacted FIX-IT-R-US on 08/29/2017..The handyman came out for a quote 8/31/2017. After a complete inspection of the things I needed done he wrote my information down and asked for an email address to send my quote to. By the next day (September 1st) I still had no quote. I texted my email address to verify he had the correct one and he never responded. By September 4th I decided to call... Paul answered the phone and advised me he was out of town and that he would be sending me my quote on Monday September 4th. I never received the quote. Really displeased with this process, the professionalism was not there at all. I was hoping to get the job started asap and instead it was dragged out. I ended up using a different a handyman who came out started the job the next day and was finished in two days.

Everything completed to our satisfaction.

All work was very well done. No mess, Paul cleaned up as he went. Absolutely no complaints.

From start to finish Paul the owner was professional, courteous and prompt. Stayed in touch with me each step of the way and provided daily photos of the progress. This was the first phase of our home upgrade. Will be using FixitRUs to complete the interior upgrades/ repairs as well. I'll report back when they are done.

First of all, I never hired FIXITRUS before so this was my first experience with Paul. At the time of appt., I asked Paul if he would call me the morning of our 8am appt. when he was on his way. (Too many past experiences of others... hour+ late or not showing up at all.) Paul called 7:39 on the morning of his appt., letting me know he was on his way. Paul was almost 15 minutes late but Paul went to work right away and when you see him work, you know you made the right decision. It doesn't take long for anyone to realize that Paul is a skilled worker who works at a professional pace. I had a couple of fans to install but after Paul examined the area, the wiring issues will require an electrician. No fault of Paul's and luckily I had more than 4 hours of projects on my list, so we just went forward with the other projects. I recommend it would be wise for any potential consumer to provide a list of projects to Paul beforehand in order for him to assess if they meet his deal's guidelines, as some projects, I learned are outside of 'handyman services' and will be charged by the project itself. Also, have more projects than the time it takes to complete them, in the event, a circumstance prevents him from completing that particular task, you will have a 'substitute' task at hand. Every homeowner that I know, has experienced the situation of hiring a worker who is paid by the hour, who moves like a sloth, then spends 15-30 minutes checking messages and/or talking on the cell phone etc. You are not going to get this with Paul. When Paul shows up, he is courteous of YOUR TIME and has the moral 'center' in his obligation to work during the time frame he was paid for. Paul's a professional so he was quick to notice some flaws in the work of others. I shared with him some of the past and current issues of the home and Paul took the time to explain the cause of the previous issue (caused by a plumber I hired) and how to prevent such issue in the future. This is a man who looks to not only help a home owner with issues but also takes the time to explain the situation! Wow, what breath of fresh air! I had another worker, walk off the site when Paul was working and I was stressed out over the situation. Paul didn't deserve to hear my rant or problems with the man who was unprofessional and for that I apologize. Would I hire Paul Again? Count on it! Paul fulfilled the total of four hours of labor, I purchased and was able to complete a good amount of projects. ITEMS ON LIST - FOUR HOURS OF LABOR no 1) .............. Not Installed - Two Fans yes 2) INSTALLED -Two Ceiling Lights, yes 3) INSTALLED-Two Mirrors, yes 4) INSTALLED-Closet Shelving yes 5) INSTALLED-Under Counter Micro. PLUS - Time to examine and explain other issues.

Paul was friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to fix the problem immediately. We talked about fixing up other areas in the house at a affordable price. I recommended to my parents who are seniors and Paul said he would give them a discount for any work he does for them.

This renovation project has gone extremely well. Major construction including removing walls, inserting decorative columns, replacing popcorn style ceilings throughout house, renovating all plumbing fixtures, installing all new ceiling fans, removing old skylights, installing floor tiles and tile backsplash, and installing bar area cabinetry. Some jobs were subcontracted - interior and exterior painting, in-ground pool (total renovation including new solar heating system), lanai (new surface overlay with pavers), roof repair, new hurricane shutters and replacement of two HVAC units. FixitRus personnel have been extremely professional, reliable, trustworthy, fair, thorough, competent, friendly, and full of excellent advice. I'm very fortunate to have them for my main contractor and would recommend them for any home renovation project - large or small.

It went very well. He stands behind his work - if I had small issues after the renovation, he was back to take care of it. Integrity is important, and Paul has it.

Paul Schilf is an excellent contractor, who gave us a written estimate of the work to be done, helped us with choosing the fixtures and tiles. Arrived on promised date and stayed with the job until it was completed. Also did the electrical hookups for the fans and lights. Reconfigured, painted and reinstalled our washer-dryer closet with new shelving and lighting. Upon the completion of the job, he did a perfect clean up. Would highly recommend Paul for all and any work that one might have for him. He is a knowledgeable and excellent worker.

This is the second time we have used his services. Both times he has been professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He is always available to answer any questions you might have about the work he is doing for you. I feel his price was very reasonable and would use his services again. My kitchen turned out lovely and I am very happy with it. He is the type of person to go out of his way to accommodate you.
