lost at least 4 bushes to bugs that were not treated properly and tec said all is well. The kitchen has mini ants that they can't control and they do not show up to treat. No one EVER ANSWERS PHONE at office and do not return calls, called national headquarters and TEY COULD NOT REACH LOCAL OFFICE EITHER! THIS IS A NEWER FRANCHISE AS THEYBOUGHT OUT HULIET WHO WAS GREAT BUT NEW OWNER IS DESTROYING COMPANY AND LOOSING ALL STAFF RAPIDLY!!! STEER CLEAR OF THEM< BAD NEWS!!!

KIRBY PAULK is the best. He provided a pest prevention treatment plan for my new home. He also provided with eco-friendly sprays, and they were safe around the household pets. I recommend KIRBY PAULK with Orkin, for everyone's home.

I talked to a representative on or about 2/18/15 about my lawn. Orkin had just recently purchased the company I had been using. I had met with the previous owner late in the fall about the condition of our lawn (not good) and we had agreed on a plan to get it back in shape with the owner agreeing to do several things to make it right. The company was bought out before that could happen. I explained this to the rep, who had worked for the previous company, that I wanted to walk the lawn with him and hear what he had planned. I told him that I planned on interviewing several other companies and that I would make my decision as to which one I wanted to service my yard. He tried to talk me into agreeing to stay with Orkin one year, that keeping my good price was a deal I shouldn't pass up and will regret it if I do, etc. I told him that I was going out of town and scheduled a time to walk the lawn when I got back. I did not want anyone reviewing or servicing the lawn while I was gone. The rep did not inform Orkin of our conversation. They serviced my yard on 2/25 and that night my puppy got very ill (severe vomiting and diarrhea) and almost had to go to the emergency vet. I suspect but cannot prove it was because the yard was treated and we didn't know to warn the puppy sitter to keep him off the grass. In addition and to make matters worse, the weeds on my lawn look like they were fertilized, many were a foot tall. (The four companies I interviewed were surprised to hear the yard had been sprayed as there was no sign of the weeds degrading in any way. There was active chinch bug activity that obviously hadn't been addressed either.) I called the company and explained all this and followed up with a note on the bill left at the house as to why I was cancelling service and was not going to pay for a service I expressly requested not happen, add the sick puppy, and the fact that the weeds were alive and well and flourishing and the yard looked worse. Then I get more bills in the mail for the same service. The poor women who answered the phone or returned my calls were very nice but could not resolve this issue, so now I wait for a manager. In addition to the employee I spoke with about my lawn not telling anyone about our conversation, I didn't receive the official call that Orkin had taken over the company until the Monday March 2nd 5 days after they treated my yard, and I didn't receive the letter stating the same dated Feb 1st until Monday March 10th. The Orkin rep I talked to on Sat Feb 28 didn't tell the employee that I had cancelled the meeting with him on Monday March 2nd. I wasn't home so he made the trip for nothing. I called to let him know what happened it was then he told me that he hadn't told the office about our conversation or scheduled meeting. The communication all around leaves a lot to be desired. The upside is that I found several companies I like and all of them were cheaper saving me $60 - $210 a year just on the weed and feed of the lawn. They all came recommended by someone I trust. That is something I will not regret about this most regrettable experience with Orkin. If Orkin has any sense they will not force the issue about paying this bill...they should consider themselves lucky they didn't receive a bill for emergency vet services. I can guarantee that would have well exceeded $185.

It was all done very well. I was able to do all the arrangements by phone or through the internet. The only people I have any experience with are the guys there on the phone. I have never actually met the technician when he came in. He has always taken care of it and we have never had any issues. They are always on time.

They are always on time. If we have a problem in between the time they come monthly, they will come take care of it. The guy who comes goes above and beyond, even taking care of the fire ants outside. They are very patient waiting for me if I am not home when they arrive.
